A timelapse footage recorded by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST) at 6:51 a.m., shows the dome collapse from the summit of the Mayon Volcano, generating pyroclastic density currents (PDC), on Thursday, Jan, 8.

The event also generated co-PDC ash clouds that rose to 1000 meters that drifted west-northwest. (Video courtesy of PHIVOLCS-DOST)
