00:00You
00:30The first 24 hours are the most fragile time of this experience.
01:00We're taking individuals that are institutionalized, they're told when to go to bed, when to wake
01:05up, when their doors are opening, when their doors are closing, and we're going to let them
01:10control their environment as far as the lights, get in their own trays.
01:14But they have to accept that responsibility and want that responsibility for this program
01:19to be a success and for them to be a success with the real world.
01:2424 hours, this is pretty much going to make or break it.
01:31Relaxation.
01:32Yeah.
01:33And everybody's all gung-ho and excited, you know, and especially the younger kids.
01:42They can go blow off some steam.
01:43Just coffee.
01:44Just coffee.
01:45Not working.
01:51Try it.
01:52We free now.
01:53It's going to be a big breeze.
01:54Don't worry.
01:55And you do not have to wear your orange shirt out in the day room anymore.
02:07The white, we outnumber everybody.
02:09And I've always been a leader and not a follower.
02:12That's going to stay the same.
02:14Gary, you know, my lieutenant, as solid as he can be.
02:20Woody's my dog, and we fucking kick it, and we love each other, man.
02:24We're fucking good friends.
02:25There's Johnny and Jay.
02:28I think we got the right group of people for this to prosper.
02:31Any military, any freaking gang, anybody.
02:35You got to have a leader that has a voice that people will follow and understand,
02:39and you got to lead by example.
02:41That's just who he is.
02:42He's a solid-ass person.
02:43Not you guys that make this world.
02:45I do have a little say-so in what goes on in that fucking part.
02:48I don't have to listen to you because you're not no motherfucking guard.
02:51Do you understand that?
02:53Don't you tell me what the fuck to do.
02:55All you...
02:56What I'm saying is I was doing my part.
02:58I was doing it to where it was being cleaned.
03:01You were too slow, and everybody was trying to take...
03:03Well, I don't give a fuck if it took me all day long.
03:05I was still doing my part.
03:06You put on your hands and knees and scrub the floor.
03:08That's what I avoided.
03:09Hey, get over it.
03:10Well, get over it.
03:12Hey, man, let's take a walk, right?
03:14You can't even watch the perfect story.
03:15You're all right.
03:20I said they did a shit when I suck them out.
03:21Just shut the fuck up.
03:22You understand?
03:23Yeah.
03:24It's not a fucking democracy.
03:28Yeah.
03:29You know?
03:30Just like this, and then...
03:31And so...
03:32I tried to explain that to them.
03:34If you see three different white people doing the same thing, it's probably okay to do that.
03:39If you see nobody doing it, and you think it's okay to do it, it's probably not.
03:44Outside of ourselves, we have to have orange on.
03:49We need to wear orange.
03:50I don't want us to get in trouble for something that one person does.
03:54Hey, Russell.
03:55Hey, the rules are all the same, bro.
03:56All right.
03:57Well, fuck you, bro.
03:58You just become my number one fucking problem.
03:59I'm just not...
04:00Like, why are they trying to pull that junior police bullshit already?
04:01We've been open for five minutes.
04:02I was walking out the wreck.
04:03Man, with all due respect, fuck you.
04:04Right here we have, Chicano, white t-shirt.
04:05We haven't seen no.
04:06Hey, I need you to put an orange shirt on.
04:07But, leave it to our people to fucking act like a bunch of fucking idiots.
04:14You got something stupid to say?
04:15Come here, let's say it.
04:16I know this is the same thing.
04:17But, you know, we're just trying to...
04:19We're just not like, why are they trying to pull that junior police bullshit already?
04:21We've been open for five minutes, I was walking out the wreck.
04:22Man, with all due respect, fuck you.
04:23Right here we have, Chicano, white t-shirt.
04:24I haven't seen no, hey, I need you to put an orange shirt on.
04:26But, leave it to our people, to fucking act like a bunch of fucking idiots.
04:33Um, but no, they just want to, you know, talk.
04:35That's all they want to do is talk, and that's not what we're told flat out.
04:38This ain't what this is about.
04:40If that's what you want to do, let me know.
04:41We'll get out of the shower.
04:43We're still in jail.
04:45You know, we still have politics.
04:48If you control it in white, you control the pod.
04:59So it's up to us to carry us off with respect.
05:02Like, it's re-entry program.
05:04You know what I mean?
05:04And if they want to fuck it up, let them handle theirs the way they want to handle it.
05:09But us, we're better than that.
05:11Irish.
05:12The whites, they want whatever they do with their people, that's on them.
05:16I don't have no say so on their...
05:17The blacks, they do theirs.
05:19But we are both accountable and responsible for our own actions.
05:23You know, if you want to be a little kid, why the fuck you in the program?
05:27My name is Juan Ruquena.
05:38I'm 35 years old, from Casagrande, Arizona.
05:42They call me Chapo.
05:43Yeah.
05:44Chapo is short.
05:49Yeah, Chapo me short.
05:49I got my nickname when I was in prison.
05:51I love you, but god damn, get the fuck out of here.
05:53I'll see you later.
05:54Me short, like shorty.
05:56So it has nothing to do with El Chapo?
05:57No.
05:58My mom passed away last year.
06:08I had pain in my heart.
06:11I started smoking meth, missing work, and ended up losing my job.
06:18One day, the police pulled up on me.
06:22I had a little bit of methamphetamine on me.
06:24They're charging for possession.
06:31But now, I'm trying to do the right thing, you know?
06:34I'm being better for my kids.
06:38Look, I don't like people disrespecting me.
06:42I don't like people disrespecting me.
06:43He's a little bit more of a hothead.
06:45Just, I got a short fuse.
06:47I don't know, I was just born like that.
06:49Yeah, he's the type to shoot first and ask questions later.
06:52Let's go, let's go.
06:54Our people, like, no matter what, they got to listen to me to make the program work.
07:02They respect me.
07:03Phil's been helping me a lot.
07:05He got his way of thinking, I got my way of thinking, but we both respect each other's
07:09way of thinking.
07:09Because that's the love that I got for you.
07:11I do, I love you.
07:12You're not.
07:12I love you.
07:14Stop.
07:15What?
07:16Javi.
07:17He's stubborn.
07:19He's young.
07:20Come on.
07:21You got the money, the money, the money.
07:22I'm going to help him.
07:24This is not juvenile.
07:26You're a man now.
07:27There's a rule.
07:28Let's go.
07:28Come on.
07:28I don't know if he's from my hood.
07:32He's saved me from any bullshit.
07:35I'm half Mexican.
07:37I obviously look white, but I resonate more with my Mexican side.
07:43We can't let the whites have no taste on us.
07:46We have to do what we have to do to be ready.
07:58We're halfway between Phoenix and Tucson.
08:16The industry of Florence, Arizona is prisons.
08:20We have federal prisons here, state prisons.
08:23We have private prisons here, and of course, we have the jail for Pinal County.
08:28Pinal County just went over a half million people in population, and is set to double
08:35in the next 10 years.
08:37Ideally, if we can double in population, but have our jail intake be the same, that would
08:47be a great end goal.
08:50Our biggest challenges are the gangs, and then by the EEA's own statistics, 80% of the fentanyl
08:57that comes into the United States comes across the Arizona border, and then gets distributed
09:02to the rest of the country.
09:04So we have a lot of drug offenses, and most of their criminal activities are because they're
09:10trying to feed and fulfill whatever that addiction is.
09:15There are individuals that when they grow up, that's all they've ever planned on was becoming
09:19a gang member, and they are generational.
09:28We have families in Pinal County that are generational career criminals.
09:32I have arrested a grandfather, a father, and a son, all from the same family.
09:36The grandson now says that he is going to spend a life of crime, and wouldn't it be
09:41great if we took an individual like that and make them realize, like, hey, that's not a
09:46proper end goal that they want to reach.
09:50The inspiration to start this experiment happened when I talked to a couple different sheriffs.
09:55There was other jails and prisons that tried these type of experiments.
09:58But our jail's racial tensions and violence make this a bigger risk.
10:04So if we want real change, we have to try something bold.
10:07But if we can teach them skills in here that they can carry outside, that benefits society
10:13as a whole.
10:15If it works, it's a breakthrough.
10:17If it fails, we're going to be making things a lot worse.
10:22No, that's how you please sit and tell fucking somebody like, uh, what?
10:40Hey, fuck up.
10:41Usually when the cop, if you see him when the cop open the door right now, I put my beat
10:44down real quick.
10:45Yeah.
10:46Definitely comfortable, you know?
10:47For sure.
10:48Do you afford to do socks?
10:49Oh, no.
10:50I can't even afford shit.
10:51I'm indigent as fuck, okay?
10:52Me too.
10:53Yeah.
10:54Like, fuck, I barely get six postcards every two weeks.
10:56And two pencils.
10:57And two pencils.
10:58Last time I only got one, though.
11:01This has got to be one of the better things ever.
11:03So they're going to leave us the fuck alone.
11:05And, like, obviously if we follow the mandates.
11:07So it's a couple group of fucking dummies that are trying to figure this out right now.
11:12Some people out there, they're weird as hell.
11:14So I don't really be talking, I don't associate myself with that type of people.
11:17And there's people, like, the people in this room that are solid.
11:20Like, care with them, do my time peacefully.
11:22Now, me and him, we're somewhat of a package deal.
11:27Something like that.
11:28You know what I mean?
11:29You fuck with Javi, you have more to get into with me too.
11:32In here, blacks, we really don't care about too much, like, leadership.
11:35But Barlow, Somalia, and Daniel, we're going to have each other's backs.
11:42And we're going to try to make it a better environment.
11:45But people would refer to as racial politics in the prisons.
11:49I really don't care about all that.
11:52Nobody tells me what to do.
11:54I'm my own king.
11:55You're not going to tell me what to do.
12:06Our census right now inside of that 100 is 27 inmates are in there right now.
12:12So we're going to pull out 27 trays.
12:14That's including our diet trays.
12:16We need what, two more?
12:1710, 20.
12:1826.
12:1927.
12:2027.
12:21There you go.
12:22They're going to do it their own.
12:23We're going to drop them off, and they're going to get them.
12:25Their trays, yeah.
12:26The first meal is definitely the first big test, because this is going to prove to them
12:32that we are changing the dichotomy of the system.
12:35Now it's your guys' responsibilities.
12:37There's definitely potential problems there from both an institutional standpoint
12:41and from the inmate politics standpoint, because if one race wanted to take over the trays,
12:46now you're inciting a raceway, so it's going to be a huge eye-opener for them.
12:51Drops, drop.
12:53Drops.
12:54Chow.
12:55Shows.
12:56Okay, everybody, chow time.
12:57We've got two diets.
12:58Yeah.
12:59They're going to have two diets.
13:00And יותר Man 1, it's 27.
13:0127.
13:02Okay.
13:03They still left it up to us to divvy out the box.
13:05We've got two diets.
13:12Yeah, two diets.
13:13Got them first.
13:14Got them first.
13:1627.
13:1627.
13:18They still left it up to us to divvy out the trays.
13:22But, you know, food and laundry are a big thing in here.
13:26So we try to make it as smooth as possible.
13:31Trying to maintain order and control,
13:34Irish and his team establish early
13:36that they are in charge of trade distribution.
13:39Just use your head.
13:39Be fucking intelligent about your actions.
13:42That's all you got to do.
13:43Be blind.
13:45Be respectful and don't touch anyone else's trade.
13:47Just your own, please.
13:50We always have control.
13:52Whites in Arizona always two for one every Mexican.
13:56We fucking four for one every black.
13:58That scares them.
14:00We have numbers, so it's going to go exactly how it works.
14:04We want it to go, and we want it to go easy.
14:07So if that doesn't happen, then it's not going to happen.
14:12It's going to go as easy as we want.
14:13It's gonna be a nice day.
14:19It's going to be a nice day.
14:32And we're going to have to do a nice day.
14:35I must say what I'm just to show now this is me.
14:38We sit at different tables because it's still kind of look down upon if we were to eat with
14:49other races. I'm from a different state. Arizona, this is one of the worst states to be in when it
14:57comes to that. I guess they probably want them over there. We look out for one another. Everything's
15:05going to be all right. Whatever it is, we just got to stick together, be united. All of us at one. All of us could be one, you know?
15:29Smile, my partner.
15:35Somalia didn't get a train.
15:43So somebody took the extra train?
15:46Somebody took no extra train.
15:55That's why you got to hurry. You don't need shit.
15:58When Somalia misses out on his meal, some of the other groups view the first lunch as a failure by the
16:04whites.
16:06The whites, you're fucked up.
16:08We'll just sit back. That's them. That's them. Because we get our trays right. That's all that matters.
16:13You know what I'm saying?
16:15You know what I'm saying?
16:16Yeah.
16:17Yeah, I don't know if there's someone really snatching trays and pocketing them, you know?
16:22As long as I get my tray, I'm good.
16:24I don't know if I can do it.
16:25If somebody grabs two, then they're fucking off. They already know what time it is.
16:32Like, they already know that all this shit's on us. You know what I'm saying?
16:34If you fuck it up, you're responsible for that shit.
16:37We're not going to keep babysitting your food for you just because you want to sleep.
16:40Like, we all have to get up and get our shit. Like, that's just what it is.
16:43But it ain't my race, so I'm not going to do so much about it.
16:55Here, everything is considered to be race-bound or managed by races.
17:13So, if you're black, you're taken advantage of. But somebody need to care about all of us eating.
17:28Thank you, son. Appreciate you, man.
17:31We're going to have hiccups. That's a little bit about what this program's about, is having that
17:36little bit of freedom and seeing what you do with it. And obviously, lunch was a little problem.
17:41But as far as the whites were still in charge, the only way it's going to get better is if we make it that way.
17:54Hey, Cap. Anything that happens whatsoever? You guys are rocking and rolling.
17:58I know it's just the first 24 hours. We're already starting. But I wanted to put a couple new arrivals
18:02into that program. You know, in a perfect world, I would like to just keep it its own entity. But we
18:08don't have the staff for that. They just recently came in and they're in the other housing units
18:13right now. So, they kind of, well, they're in the intake area, but they're going to the housing
18:18units. And so, we're just looking to put some more people, more inmates in that program.
18:22You see any hiccups coming about? Anything you foresee? Yeah, we're just monitoring as
18:26best we can. We'll see how it goes. All right, cool. That's it. Oh, I have anything else?
18:32When you introduce new inmates, it definitely can rock its stability, because you have individuals
18:38that they're entering not only a new situation for them, but it's a new situation for us. So,
18:44that stability on purpose isn't there, because we're learning from this experiment. That being said,
18:52any conflicts in these first hours could derail this experiment.
19:06A lot of new people, man. I'm just worried about who they bring in here, you know?
19:10Yeah. That's what I'm worried about. It just kind of puts me on edge a little bit. Just got to keep an eye out there.
19:16Hey, you need a finger, man. Come here. Sit right here.
19:20My full name is Jacob Wayne Nusser, and I'm 20 years old. I started getting wrapped up in the gangs when I was probably about 12 years old.
19:44And they showed me love, you know? It was a sense of family that I never had.
19:52It was a father figure that I chased, you know? That OG, that big homie was like a father to me,
19:57you know? Or a big brother, that male role model that I never had growing up.
20:03I'm here for theft of means. That means that I deprived somebody of their vehicle with an intention
20:10to permanently take their vehicle from them. I steal cars. I cut Cadillac converters. I just got better
20:17at it and better at it and better at it, you know? And everybody gets caught.
20:22How many priors you got? A lot. A lot? What's your charges now? Contraband, introduction to prison,
20:28contraband, theft of means, um, possession of a stolen vehicle. They caught you bringing in
20:33shit or what? Yeah. You see some people in here. You recognize them? Yeah. There's a lot of East Mesa
20:40motherfuckers in here, huh? Yeah, there is. Yeah. I ran into a few of them. Yeah. Like Woody ran into him.
20:45Yeah, Woody. He's good people. I know him. He knows my parents. Yeah. Woody knows everyone
20:49down to East Mesa, man. He's been out there a minute. Yeah, that's cool.
20:57Reentry for me begins now because that gives me more time to prepare myself for my kids,
21:02my three daughters and my son, you know? And I want to try to build those relationships.
21:07And this program right here definitely helps. My daughter wrote me.
21:12Today, I was pleasantly surprised and happy. My oldest daughter, Keely, wrote me. She said,
21:22Hey, Dad, I don't know when you'll get this letter. I've never written to a jail before.
21:30I wish you were here for us. You missed a lot of major events in our lives. But I'm not going to
21:36completely blame you because I know you're struggling with addiction. And it's hard.
21:43I just wish I grew up with a father figure at least. I haven't called anyone dad in almost 11 years.
21:50Please try your best once you are out of jail to stay sober and in our life. Love, Keely. And that's
21:57the most heartfelt, meaningful letter I've ever gotten. Like that really, you know, like I couldn't
22:01imagine wanting to use anything right now, you know? You know, this is the same daughter of mine
22:07that posted all my mug shots right before I got arrested and said, this is what I remember of my
22:11dad. And just the fact that she reached out to me, you know, really, that means so much to me.
22:19The honesty and the compassion in that is, it means a lot to me. You know, it shows that, that she is,
22:25you know, like, thank God she's, you know, really becoming a young lady. And like that little piece of
22:31magic right there, like just really, you know, that's fucking amazing. You know, like I couldn't,
22:37I couldn't ask for anything wrong, you know?
22:40Okay, so this is Re-Entry Pod, right? Where we tell ourselves when we go to bed,
23:04we feed ourselves we do everything for ourselves there's going to be less cop interactions out
23:10there so like if you need anything just come come to one of us if there's any questions come to one
23:15of us you know yeah be dope sick or what yeah a little bit we're drunk i mean we'll try to find
23:25a shot of coffee or something and i'll be hungry here soon you know i know i was um
23:31yeah were you on suboxone or anything on the streets i was on fentanyl i was withdrawing
23:41from fentanyl and meth and alcohol it was hard because they didn't they didn't really give me
23:47anything for it you know they didn't give me they didn't give me nothing you know so i just had
23:50tough through it but i mean i've done that multiple times in jail the new guy came in
24:03he's coming down he's hungry he's really hungry sweets i guess something with opiates and sweets
24:09like kind of helps you know i'm really worried about that kid jacob because where it comes to
24:16addiction you're not thinking correctly you're only thinking about getting what you want so i'm
24:21trying to just give them good structure you know because that's what i wish somebody would have done
24:26for me well let's make sure you know like just kick back for a week you know we'll get you fed up
24:31what we can he's sick he's coming down off drugs and what he knows is his family from the street
24:38so and he's gonna keep them in line you know i mean that's all i can do
25:03anybody got some extra food they want to throw in
25:08yeah i like to eat bloody yeah it don't look like it but bloody
25:14yeah high metabolism yeah
25:29i was still withdrawing at this point so i'm kind of foggy you know
25:32you know they didn't give me anything
25:47so
25:52so
27:57You busy?
27:58Come on in.
27:59Hey, I can get up, right?
28:02I can get my food.
28:03I can get my food on the phone.
28:04Come on, buddy.
28:05I'll take a little nap.
28:07I can get up.
28:09Let me look for my food.
28:11Where my food at?
28:13Youngster sitting down.
28:15Got the food right here.
28:16You know what I'm saying?
28:17Yeah.
28:18It's right here.
28:19You know what I'm saying?
28:20Yeah.
28:21It's right here, man.
28:22I ain't getting on it.
28:23You know what I'm saying?
28:24I'm like, bro, what are you doing at, bro?
28:25You feel me?
28:26You know what I'm saying?
28:27I'm like, bro, what are you doing at, bro?
28:28You feel me?
28:29You know what I'm saying?
28:30I'm like, bro, I'm talking to people real quick, bro.
28:34Which one is it, man?
28:35The little Yorkshire.
28:36I'll look.
28:37I'll slap the fuck out of him.
28:38Yeah.
28:39You know what I mean?
28:40I'll get it straight now.
28:41Yeah.
28:42All right.
28:43I mean, I got a lot of storm in my room, too.
28:44I'm like, bro.
28:45Yeah.
28:46Yeah.
28:47I personally, I wanted to just get the kid by himself.
28:51Just me and him.
28:52And open hand, fucking pop him.
28:53You know what I mean?
28:54Just pop.
28:55It's humbling to have that happen in front of your peers,
28:58number one.
28:59Number two, the other races these CL people fucks,
29:02is that physical fucking, I'm the boss, you're the fucking,
29:05you know, you're in the wrong, and you're being disciplined.
29:08That's what they want.
29:09Yeah.
29:10He didn't talk to the youngster.
29:11What's up?
29:12He took somebody else's bowl of food and hid it behind him.
29:15Like, he admitted to it.
29:17Yeah.
29:18That's what we're stealing.
29:19You know what I'm saying?
29:20Yeah.
29:21Exactly.
29:22All right.
29:23I didn't even have the whole story.
29:24I just know that he took something that didn't belong to him.
29:27Right.
29:28And I needed to set an example.
29:29And Woody fucking co-signed for this kid.
29:32So, I left it to Woody to deal with it.
29:33All this shit, we're all fucking responsible for each other.
29:34Something like that.
29:35On the yard, we pop out the whole fucking yard,
29:36and start a race right over that shit.
29:37You don't ever touch another race shit.
29:38And, like, we know you're coming down, coming off,
29:39you're trying to get weighed up and shit, hungry.
29:40Like, I get it.
29:41But just remember that everything you do is fucking carrying a gas.
30:00So, I hope we can do this without violence,
30:02because people signing up for this program understand what they'll be signing up for
30:06up for and don't want to lose the amenities that we get.
30:11So I'm not going to let one person fuck up the program
30:15and get it taken away.
30:19For the next few hours, Woody
30:21works to negotiate a nonviolent solution.
30:33Jacob will switch cells.
30:35He must not leave his bed, and the Whites
30:37will work him out to exhaustion in the yard.
30:55Woody believes he has kept peace in the pod.
30:58But Barlow starts to regret feeling pressured by the Whites
31:03to accept an unfair deal.
31:04No swoops, no payment, no nothing.
31:05He can handle that.
31:06Yeah, for real, that's what it is.
31:08He can handle that.
31:10He can handle that.
31:11Yeah, for real.
31:12That's what it is.
31:13H-Unit has made it through half of their first 24 hours with unlocked doors.
31:42But the real test starts when night begins.
32:02There's a lot of different risks for having the cell doors open all night.
32:05Sleeping individuals are more susceptible to being jumped.
32:09And then individuals can be out being noisy.
32:13Some people go to bed very early, and you put both of them in the same pod together.
32:18There's potential for greater violence.
32:20Anything can happen, man.
32:22Just like the streets.
32:23Anything can happen, man.
32:24Any minute, it can get dangerous.
32:26Yeah, Jacob.
32:27Yeah.
32:28Watts.
32:29Watts.
32:36We shut this pod down at 10 o'clock.
32:43No more talking.
32:55I sleep, man.
32:57It starts getting a little louder.
32:58A little bit louder.
32:59A little bit louder.
33:00A little bit louder.
33:01A little bit louder.
33:03Delicious.
33:05Bullshit.
33:06Like this, bro, I can't tell you guys nothing, bro.
33:08I can't say nothing to you guys.
33:10Hager thinks he can do whatever he wants.
33:11Because we're not supposed to be playing around with other races.
33:27So it's going to cause a big old racial issue.
33:31Tell me about you calling him down there right now.
33:35I'm not going to apologize for shit.
33:37I didn't do nothing wrong.
33:57I don't want to get everything shut down.
33:59But him disrespecting me, saying, oh, this is my people?
34:02Yeah.
34:03That's a big no-no.
34:05And not only Javi, the other guy, because why?
34:08Because his people wouldn't have allowed that.
34:11Some of us can, you know what I mean, get hurt.
34:14Don't get pushed.
34:24Once you get pushed, you're off the edge.
34:27OK, you going to fuck with us?
34:29I'm going to fuck with you back.
34:31I'm like, you know what?
34:32I'm fucking tired of your fucking ass, fool.
34:33I'm like, come here.
34:34I'm like, you know what?
34:35I'm fucking tired of your fucking ass, fool.
34:36I'm like, come here.
34:37I'm like, you know what?
34:38I'm fucking tired of your fucking ass, fool.
34:39I'm like, come here.
34:40I'm like, you know what?
34:41I'm fucking tired of your fucking ass, fool.
34:42I'm like, come here.
34:43I'm like, you know what?
34:44I'm fucking tired of your fucking ass, fool.
34:46I'm like, come here.
34:48I'm like, you know what?
34:49I'm fucking tired of your fucking ass, fool.
34:50I'm like, come here.
35:13You don't want no trouble.
35:28They stayed up out all night.
35:30I sat in here and read a book and wrote a letter and kept my eye on things.
35:38You know, told them, hey man, hold it down.
35:42Cooler heads prevailed and it was all right.
35:47Last night didn't escalate to a standoff and interracial riot.
35:52And so people are starting to come around in this program.
35:55Last night, fucking like Chapo, of course, you know, he gets defensive, but he's not a bad person.
36:01I call him the little napolitan, you know, short guy conflict with a lot of pride.
36:06Definitely it's just the way he addresses people sometimes, you know, is I don't see it, you know,
36:11as the best way.
36:12Just the way that individual went about everything he went about just was totally wrong.
36:28Don't let none of this shit affect you no more.
36:33You know what I mean?
36:35Saints don't speak up on shit that's that's wrong.
36:38I'm just asking you to just keep back in and just chill.
36:41You know what I mean?
36:43I'll tell you that out.
36:44You figure it out.
36:45You're gonna leave, you're gonna leave, you're gonna leave and you want me to hold them.
36:50Huffy's too hotheaded.
36:53But I'm trying to let stuff roll out, see how everything, everything goes.
36:57But if somebody gets out of line and causes a racial issue, I'm gonna take care of him.
37:06I'd much rather try to solve things diplomatically, but I'm prepared.
37:11I want peace, so I have to prepare for war.
37:14I said it numerous times.
37:16I'm going to break the rules if they try to play with my man's here, so I'm into it.
37:22I'm going to stand on it.
37:27With only two hours left, the experiment is almost to the finish line of the first
37:4024 hours.
37:43But Barlow sees that Jacob remains unpunished.
37:47So if the Blacks got a problem with the Whites, they can see if they can resolve it.
37:56Within a race, but it's kind of a front, you feel me?
38:01I ain't see nothing, I hear nothing.
38:26That's how it gets squashed.
38:31You got to stand on that.
38:33Stealing, can't be stealing, none of that.
38:35Yeah, if somebody's stealing, yeah, you got to handle that.
38:38You know, it's unfortunate that the other person involved just kept changing his mind, and it was to the point to where I was like, fuck that, you know?
38:45Put your shoes on.
38:46Come on, sir.
38:47You know, it's unfortunate that the other person involved just kept changing his mind,
39:04and it was to the point where I was like, fuck that, you know?
39:07Put your shoes on, come on, sir.
39:14You sure?
39:18Yes.
39:20The white boys came up to me and they were like yo, that's a one-on-one fight.
39:50So I know that I'm not on no janky shit. I know I'm a solid ass dude. I was like fuck it dude, whatever, you know.
39:57Now that we're in a program, people don't want to mess that up. They don't want to get caught fighting by the cops and then the whole thing gets shut down for everyone so like we don't want to be dumb and fight over something stupid.
40:12What makes dudes learn, you know, and that's the sad part. Most of us is just the violence and then like that's the only way we teach each other which kind of sucks but that's what we know.
40:22So I was there to fight because you know what, I'm a fight for what I believe in. I'm a fight for my fucking respect.
40:42So let's go back a little more in the last one.
40:47We got a lot of respect.
40:58That's cool, I can call one of the stuff.
41:00Oh yeah, let's go.
41:02You've been invited to the dance is what I do
41:18It's time to fight
41:48You've been invited to the dance
42:18You've been invited to the dance
42:48You
