00:35But none of that is relevant here because both the operation and President Trump's stated intention
00:42has nothing to do with democracy.
00:44The regime has not changed.
00:46All the bloodthirsty rulers of Venezuela that Hermannia was talking about are all still there.
00:54The only person that left was Maduro.
00:56Donald Trump has talked about oil nonstop since the invasion.
01:02He hasn't mentioned the word democracy a single time.
01:04He has, in fact, explained that he doesn't want democracy in Venezuela, and I know why.
01:10You know, no democratic government in Venezuela would agree to the terms of the agreement that he has in mind for Venezuela,
01:15which is essentially that the president, the current president, or the acting president,
01:20will sign a piece of paper transferring ownership of Venezuela's total oil reserves to the United States.
01:26That's what's on the table.
01:28And, of course, no democratic government would do that.
01:30So Donald Trump will never allow a democratic government to be in charge of Venezuela.
01:34To discuss is this justified for the sake of democracy is just completely absurd
01:40because that's not what we're talking about.
01:41That's not what's happening in Venezuela.
01:44What's happening is the imposition of a regime of extortion on top of the Maduro regime
01:50that is still entirely in place.
