00:00This started, as everyone knows, with an oil blockade, right?
00:03They get money from two things, selling oil and selling drugs.
00:07And we ultimately want to cut off completely the selling drugs and grow the selling oil.
00:14But in the short term, there was a blockade, right?
00:16Major cash flow source, pinched Venezuela.
00:19We get out the heads of this criminal gang.
00:22And now we have a different arrangement,
00:25where instead of the oil being blockaded as it is right now,
00:28we're going to let the oil flow,
00:32sell that market to United States refineries and to around the world to bring better oil supplies,
00:37but have those sales done by the U.S. government
00:41and deposited into accounts controlled by the U.S. government.
00:46And then from there, those funds can flow back into Venezuela to benefit the Venezuelan people.
00:52But we need to have that leverage and that control of those oil sales
00:57to drive the changes that simply must happen in Venezuela.
01:01So it's no longer a drug threat, a kidnapping threat, a gun-running threat,
01:06an enabler of our adversaries in our hemisphere.
01:10Venezuela has been a train wreck for the United States and the American people.
01:14And under President Trump's leadership, we're all in to change that
01:17and restore it to a much better situation that not only will benefit the American people,
01:24the American economy, and global energy markets,
01:26but of course it will also massively benefit the people of Venezuela.
01:30Eight million Venezuelans fled.
01:32Let's make a society people want to go back to, invest in, and grow.
