00:11In 1986, the first poems on the Underground appeared in tube carriages and both commuters
00:17and visitors to London have been able to read them ever since. The scheme has been so popular
00:24that it's inspired copycats in Paris, New York and Moscow. TfL has said the programme helps
00:29to make journeys more stimulating and inspiring by showcasing a range of poetry in tube train
00:36carriages across London. Poems will be featured at Aldgate East, Heathrow, Seven Sisters, St
00:42John's Wood and Westminster.
