00:37so i can't i don't have like a lot of bodily trauma outside of yeah childbirth right right but you

00:46bashed you bashed a toe you nailed your funny bone things like that and it's like oh that hurts so

00:53bad like the pain that i had with my tennis elbow that's finally getting better i mean even that

00:59like i think i told them was like a six or a seven six seven but you gov polled 5 000 americans and

01:07over half think they've experienced at least an eight before 17 said they'd never dealt with severe

01:14pain uh the poll defined severe as six out of ten or higher wow so i definitely feel like i've been in

01:21the seven eight range for sure yeah uh most of the painless crowd were younger people of course

01:2712 say six is the worst they've ever felt eight percent said seven and 25 said eight they defined eight

01:34as very severe another 10 said nine and 24 said that they felt a 10 or higher when it came to pain

01:42including tooth pain which is a good one you know going back to memories in this studio

01:50i would say pain wise outside of having children when i ate the ghost pepper or not the ghost pepper

03:01an achilles or an acl or an mcl or something like that it doesn't necessarily hurt like the actual

03:06tearing doesn't hurt but like there is a pain but like people say that that doesn't hurt i'm just

03:28probably hit a seven or an eight no i i would say higher through childbirth i would say higher okay but

03:34on like a general day-to-day basis like banging your foot or whatnot and probably a five pinky toe

03:42on the side of a table or a corner god does that hurt i know but that's probably not a 10 that's

03:47probably closer to like a six uh jeff says that there's something that's more painful than pregnancy

03:53jeff i didn't say pregnancy i said having the child jeff how do you know that that this is more

03:59painful than having a baby um i had to argue with my ex-wife we have four children she had them all

04:07natural so no epidurals or anything and she knows what kind of pain she went through and then i had

04:12kidney stones when i was in my 40s and i told her these are unbearable they got to be worse than

04:16anything you've ever felt and she wanted to argue with me then we talked to another mother that had

04:22three children that also had them natural that also had kidney stones and she told them that the

04:27kidney stones were a lot worse because the um cramps and the pain with pregnancy subside you know

04:35they they happen they go away they happen they go away where the kidney stone is constant constant

04:40yeah yeah well i will say jeff you were we're talking to you on the phone but we probably got

04:46at least 10 to 12 if not 15 text messages from people saying kidney stones is a 10 for sure

04:52emily you had kind of an outlier one what was your 10 in pain um i had brain cancer whenever i was 17

05:01and i had so much pressure on my optic nerve my eye started turning inward oh my goodness i'm so sorry

05:10that happened to you that definitely sounds like a 10 yeah it was constant migraines me throwing up

05:17uh and just not feeling all that well for like six months yeah i was gonna ask how long that lasted

05:23oh you poor thing and and at that point like um painkillers probably don't even really work for you

05:28no sir like i was taking aspirin at the time because i was in high school and i wasn't touching it

05:34i just wanted sleep all day but here you are emily yeah here you are i've thought i beat this i've

05:43uh beat cancer twice so far good for you good for you no we love that thanks for sharing all the

05:57mine was a pilonidal cyst that's on my tailbone oh and you have to go and get it like cut and then

06:05drained and they said mine was under my skin was the size of an orange oh so did you have the pain

06:12before or the pain after um it was both i thought that i had pulled my back and then i went to the

06:19er on christmas eve probably about three years ago and that's when they told me and then when they

06:24cut when they cut it and started to drain it the nurse i don't know she was mad that she had to be

06:28there on christmas eve but whatever they were wiping it all out with they asked me if i wanted to

06:33smell it ew what no ma'am stop yeah it was probably i've been on reddit reading about it and

06:42a lot of women do say it's worse than childbirth wow all right hey i feel bad when did you have the

06:47pain before after she's like all of the above mani yeah i don't know well sometimes i didn't know

06:51like the recovery was worse afterwards because or if when they drain it the pressure releases i got

06:56holy cow uh someone said i hit a telephone pole head on and busted my windshield with my head

07:01oh uh that was a 10 i bet and then i do i'll add this one quick thing i do remember loren i was

07:08playing basketball in like a beer league and somebody landed on my toe and i dislocated my big

07:14toe and when i went to have it relocated the doctor was like i got to give you this needle and i'm not

07:20gonna lie it hurts and i go and can we pass on the needle he goes if i reset your toe without giving

07:27you pain he said you go through the roof yeah that probably would have been a 10 dallas

07:31had his arm dislocated backwards so it was like in the up position and i drove him to the er and

07:37they did the same thing but when they pulled out the needle i passed out that sounds about right
