00:00Would you say that a solution to pollution can be found in the Gita?

00:05Pollution is a symptom, not a problem.

00:09Four billion years ago, life started on this planet.

00:13Did we ever have the problem of pollution, at least man-made pollution?

00:16No, never.

00:18We had massive beings here, dinosaurs and all.

00:21But we never had massive pollution.

00:24The problems that we have today, they are all really coming from the same source.

00:28They are coming from ignorance.

00:30You pointed at illiteracy.

00:32We are still inwardly illiterate.

00:35Just that then, we didn't know about how the suns and the moons operate,

00:39whether the earth is flat or not, where do the oceans end,

00:44where do storms come from, we didn't know all those things.

00:48Today we know all those things.

00:49But inwardly, we do not know.

00:51Do we know where the emotional storm comes from today?

00:54We might know where a particular cyclone is coming from

00:58and through the satellites, we can very cleverly predict it also.

01:02Inward literacy is needed.

01:04And that's where the Bhagavad Gita comes in,

01:07wisdom literature comes in,

01:08the Upanishads come in,

01:10philosophies and darshans come in.

01:12Vidant comes in.
