Hoboken, New Jersey police bodycam footage (OPRA) from September 4, 2023 involving a suspected DUI/DWI arrest, field sobriety test refusal, and breathalyzer/chemical test refusal.

Officers responded to a report of a 2023 Alfa Romeo Stelvio allegedly parked over a driveway line on the 1300 block of Bloomfield Street, Hoboken NJ. At approximately 6:08 PM, Officer Joseph Lupo returned to address the parking violation when a bystander warned that the driver appeared intoxicated and might drive away.

Police contacted the driver, identified in records as Brittany Liva (29). Officers reported indicators consistent with impairment, including slurred speech and balance issues. The driver stated she had consumed alcohol earlier but denied being impaired. Additional officers arrived, and the driver was offered multiple opportunities to complete field sobriety tests (FSTs), but ultimately refused.

Based on observations and refusals, she was arrested on suspicion of DUI/DWI. At Hoboken Police HQ, she was read the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators and ultimately refused to provide breath samples. She was later released pending court.

Charges/summonses listed in records include: Operating under the influence (DUI/DWI), refusal to submit to chemical test/breath samples, reckless driving, and improper parking.
