00:00Hello, how are you doing? Hi, fine. Hola. Hola. Que tal? Que tal? Como va? Where are you from?
00:25I'm from Argentina. I'm drinking mate from Argentina. How long is your stay in Thailand? I went seven days for Bangkok to work and now I came five days here at Krabi. I'm a little bit nervous. You are reading a book. Yes, I'm reading a book from Sally Rooney. It's a bestseller, No More People. And this is Conversaciones Entre Amigos. Friends Conversations. Really interesting. Why did you decide to come to Thailand?
00:55For work. It was not a decision truly mine. I came for work at Bangkok and it's my second time here in Thailand. And this time I decided like, okay, I'm going to work. And after that, I'm going to take a little bit days for vacations.
01:12And I chose Krabi because I read and I did my research and they said like, here was not really a touristic place. And the beaches were the best ones. So that's why I came here.
01:26I'm an actress and I also work as a model. And I came here to do a Nivea campaign. You know, Nivea, the cream. So I'm like their Latam face. Latam. Come on, Latino America.
01:41Where is your favorite place in Thailand?
01:44Two days ago, I went to Phi Phi Island and I really liked them. I really liked Mei Bay. I think it's incredible. An amazing place.
01:54I haven't been all around the country, like to say, which is my favorite one. But from what I've seen, Phi Phi Islands, I say, also Similian Islands were really good.
02:06I went yesterday there, but small. I don't know. But yes, let's say Mei Bay.
02:10So you went to many places.
02:12Yeah, I went to many places. I'm really curious and I'm really fan of doing tours and meeting new places, new beaches, new people, cultures. So yes, I like using my time in the best way I can.
02:27What do you like the most about Argentina?
02:31I think Argentina is the best place. It's the best country in the world. I like our culture. We are really friendly. I love our food.
02:40I love our places. We have, like, everything. We have mountain beach, rocks, desert. But I think most of all the people, my people, my friends, people I love, I think it's a perfect combination.
02:53Buenos Aires is one of the prettiest cities in the world. And I've been to many cities, to many places. Being truly objective, I think it's a great country. You should all go to Argentina.
03:06Thank you for your time.

05:23great, yeah.
05:23Very beautiful.
05:24Yeah, so beautiful.
05:26Why did you decide to come to Thailand?
05:29Because I live in China, and Thailand is so close, and now it's Chinese New Year.
05:35So no job in China, everyone like have vacation, and I also come and bring my parents to Thailand,
05:42and because we didn't see each other one year, and we just stay, enjoy, and hugs, and smile.
05:52Yeah, actually I met lots of Russian people in Thailand.
05:55Yeah, so many Russians, and Chinese people, yes, Russian and Chinese, especially in Phuket.
06:01In Phuket, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
06:03What do you do for a living?
06:04I model from 14 years old, now I'm 20, so almost seven years, I just traveling to other countries,
06:13like China, Korea, Dubai, Thailand, Turkey, Thailand, and in future I of course didn't go to Europe,
06:20I've never been there, it's my dream, go to Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton, but now yeah,
06:26I just earn money in China, because China is the market with a lot of fabrics, like with clothes, yeah.
06:33So how did you learn English?
06:36I didn't learn English in school, I always hate it, but when I start to be a model,
06:40I understand it's so important for my job, I need to communicate with people, with clients,
06:45with other models, for example from other countries, and I just start to talk, I just
06:52start to learn some words, use some app, and I try to teach English with some teacher, like online,
07:00but no, only if I want, I will do it by myself, like words, some rules, the words, it's more important,
07:07if you know 300 words, it's already better than you don't know nothing, so yeah.
07:13Thank you for your time. Thank you so much, thank you. Have a good vacation in Thailand.
07:18Come everyone, thank you. Bye bye.
07:24Hi, how are you doing? Hi, I'm fine, thank you. Where are you from? I'm from Italy. Oh nice.
07:29You look very stylish. Oh, thank you very much. Why did you decide to come to Thailand?
07:36Oh, because the weather is nice, the food is nice, and the Thai people are very kind. Do you enjoy Thailand now?
07:42A lot, yeah, it's my fifth time in Thailand. Oh, you love Thailand? Yeah, I love it.
07:49Where is your favorite place in Thailand so far? So far at Chabang beach, because there's always
07:55a lot to do, you can go with the jet ski and you can do pretty walks. What do you do for Aribin?
08:02I'm a doctoral student, but I'm hopefully finishing very soon my studies, so in a few months, yeah.
08:11What is your best experience in Thailand? So far laying on the beach, enjoying cocktails,
08:17swimming, enjoying the weather. You like the beach? Yeah, a lot.
08:21Have you faced any culture shock in Thailand? Oh, there's no culture shock because it's like,
08:29that's the perfect culture, I think, and you adapt really quickly and yeah, so I like it a lot.
08:36Thank you for your time. Thank you. Bye. Ciao. Ciao.
08:43Hi, how are you doing? Good, how are you? Yeah, good, thank you. Where are you from?
08:47We are from Perth in Australia. Oh, yeah. Yeah, beautiful city. Beautiful city.
08:52Very beautiful. How long is your stay in Thailand? We're staying for a week.
08:57A week? Very short. Oh, you're busy with work? Yes, exactly. We can only get a week off.
09:03Yeah, yeah. What do you do for Aribin? I'm studying. I work in a bank. A bank, oh.
09:08Yeah. Oh, you are rich. No, we wish. We try to be. What brought you to Thailand?
09:14I've been before. Loved it. And then we just wanted to get away for a little bit.
09:19Somewhere we could just lie on the beach, I think. So, we thought Thailand was good.
09:23Yeah. It's summer in Australia. It is, yeah. You love the beach.
09:27Yes. We'll always want the beach. Where is your favorite place in Thailand so far?
09:33I think mine's Pai. That was my favorite. Yeah, I've only been here so far.
09:39I love Pai. I had so much fun there. Yeah, that was good. And the food's amazing everywhere.
09:45Yeah, the food's delicious. Like a beautiful mountains in Pai. Yeah. I didn't try them, but
09:52but yes. Have you faced any culture shock in Thailand? I don't think so.
09:56We've done a bit of Southeast Asia traveling. Everyone's been super friendly. It's been very easy.
10:02No, we love it. Yeah, no. It's been amazing. No complaints. Oh, yeah. Good, good. Yeah, you look very happy.
10:07Yes, very, very happy. Yeah. What advice would you give to other Western travelers?
10:13Try all the food. Try everything. I think maybe come to the beachy parts. Don't just go to
10:19Bangkok and Phuket. Actually, come see the beach. Yeah. Island talk. Yes. Do the tours.
10:25Yes. Eat the local food. Try as many different things as you can. Yeah. Yeah, local food is much
10:32cheaper. Yeah. So much cheaper than Australia. It's crazy. It's so tasty. Yeah. Thank you for
10:37time. Thank you so much. Have a nice trip. You too. See ya. Where are you from? I'm from Finland.
10:44I'm originally Ukrainian, but I live in Finland. Oh, okay. Privit and Moish. Oh, okay. You know,
10:50both of them. Okay, okay. Yeah, yeah. I've been to Ukraine, actually. Really? That's crazy. Kyiv.
10:54Seven years ago. Oh, my grandpa was from Kyiv. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. How's your impression of Thailand?
11:00Oh, it's very, very warm, very social and very friendly. I love that it's very friendly. Everywhere.
11:07Everybody just want to help with everything. Why did you decide to come to Thailand?
11:12I'm actually on a work trip here. I'm a personal assistant. I'm helping a disabled person and
11:19there's also another assistant with me. So we're both working here with him. You enjoy your job.
11:24Yeah, I love my job. It's very nice. And the person that I'm helping is also very nice. So right now, I
11:30finished studying upper secondary school and I've been working as a personal assistant for like
11:35nearly a year now. And I just help the person with daily tasks that like a normal person would do.
11:42go to the toilet, eat, go to the bed and then shopping, etc.
11:49How long does it take to come here?
11:50Well, it depends. Obviously, if you can take a direct plane, it's like 13, 14 hours.
11:56But we cheaped out a little bit. So we had three transfers. So we've been traveling for like two straight days.
12:02So it was a little longer with all the transfers. It was from Amsterdam, a couple hours. Then we went to
12:07Singapore, 12 hours. And then also transfer time, four hours.
12:11Yeah, it's crazy. What do you like the most about Finland?
12:14I'd say how safe it is there for now. And honestly, traffic. The traffic in Thailand,
12:25it's crazy. Like I stood for 10 minutes thinking, how could I cross the road?
12:29So yeah, it's much more calmer there. And free healthcare. Definitely. That I enjoy a lot.
12:37How did you learn English? Honestly, because I moved from Ukraine to Finland.
12:42I was seven years old then and my mom was raising me alone. So she had to learn English.
12:48And when she was working in Finland, she spoke English most of the time before she learned Finnish.
12:53And she also had foreigner friends, meaning she talked with them English. So when I was little,
12:59I just picked it up from my mom. And then it went on and on with the social media and series and movies.
13:04Something like that. Thanks. Thank you for your time.
13:10Oh, thank you so much. Have a nice trip. You too.
13:14Where are you from? From Canada. Quebec. Quebec?
13:16Quebecois. Oh. Bonjour. Bonjour.
13:21Ƈa va? Oui, toi? TrĆØs bien.
13:26Thank you, thank you. Where did you visit in Thailand so far?
13:29I visit Phuket, Bangkok, and now Krabi. And then I'm going to Chiang Mai.
13:34You see elephants. Where is your favorite place in Thailand so far?
13:38I think my favorite place so far is Krabi, for sure. Yeah.
13:42It's more natural, a little bit less people. It's beautiful. The water, the boats, everything is wow.
13:50The food, also. Yeah. Do you like Thai food? I do. I love Pad Thai.
13:58Not the crickets.
14:01What brought you to Thailand?
14:02So I'm here with my mom and her husband. Yeah, it's a family vacation for Christmas and New Year's.
14:10But I am missing my family back in Canada too. But yeah, it's a Christmas and New Year's Eve vacation for us.
14:17It's my dream destination for sure. Wow. Yeah. Your dream came true. Yeah, it did. It did.
14:25Have you faced any culture shock in Thailand? Actually, yes. I didn't think there would be this
14:30many people, honestly. In Thailand, there's a lot, a lot of people. And from everywhere. I thought it would
14:36be less touristic. And yeah, the food also, the prices, just being so far away from home.
14:44It's 24 hours for me from home on the plane. So it's very far. But I love the cultural shock. I actually
14:53love it. But it is a cultural shock for sure. For sure. It's so far away. 24 hours by plane. So I flew
15:01from Canada, Montreal to Dubai and then Dubai to Bangkok. Yeah. So a 13 hour flight and a 7 hour flight.
15:12Very far. Big journey. Big journey for sure. Yeah. Do you have any dating advice for guys?
15:18Dating advice? Stay natural. Don't try too hard. Because some people try very hard and it's,
15:25it doesn't work. You have to stay natural. And be kind. Just don't be on social media too much. So
15:34don't always be on your phone. Be in the present moment. And yeah, give a lot of love. A lot of
15:40attention to your person. That would be my best dating advice. Bring your lover out. Go have lunch with
15:47them. Go on a date. Yeah. That would be my advice for sure. Tell them how much you love them also. Often.
15:55Yeah. Yeah. Amazing. Thank you. Thank you for your time. Well, thank you so much.

29:04very good you're very friendly thank you so much you're very friendly as well thank you that's nice
29:11where are you from i'm from the netherlands why did you decide to come to thailand to escape like
29:16the bad weather from the netherlands and it's always sunny here it's cheap to travel here everything in
29:23like europe is a bit more expensive and yeah just the views like look at where we are right now it's very
29:28nice always so yeah nice people nice food as well really enjoy the thai cuisine do you like thai food
29:35yes i love thai food i also have a lot of thai food in the netherlands but here it's so much better
29:41have you faced any culture shock in thailand they are very polite like they always bow their head as
29:46well and in the netherlands you would maybe when you say hi to someone you would more like do like this
29:52and here they all go down for you and they like bend their head as well and it's like very respectful to
29:57do but i'm not used to that so that was maybe a bit weird like seeing everybody like bow their head
30:04but for the rest i yeah not made not a big shock just it was what expect what i expected very different
30:11but what i expected to be different thank you for your time of course yeah thank you well thank you well
30:19hello how are you doing i'm good how are you yeah good thank you where are you from i'm from
30:23israel shalom how long is your trip in thailand uh three weeks i was in shangmai before and now i'm
30:32doing samoy and then i'll go to kophangan and that's it how's your impression of thailand oh it was
30:39weird because it was really spontaneous trip and also before here i was in a temple doing vipassana so
30:49completely different vibe over there than here but i love it why did you choose thailand a lot of my
30:56friends came here and i've only heard good things about this place and i thought it's a really good
31:03place to just kind of find some quiet and go to the beach and just kind of ease my mind for a second and
31:12you know think i met lots of israeli people here everyone over here is really in samoy anyway in
31:20the north i didn't see one israeli but here a lot what do you do for living i'm a graphic designer oh
31:27so you are stylish yes try but i was an actress as well i went to acting school in new york
31:35and i'm starting my b.a in psychology in september have you faced any culture shock in thailand i think
31:42so because like the first thing was coming like to a temple over here so a lot of nuns and monks over
31:51there and only eating like thai food so it was a really specific environment so yeah i had because
31:59like i'm not used to the flavors i'm not used like there's a different energy for thai people
32:07everyone are really nice really really nice and really like calm so yeah completely different
32:14energy and culture over here so yeah it took a second to kind of understand but everyone are
32:19really welcoming which is nice what is your best experience in thailand when i was in the temple
32:26there was chanting with the monks and the nuns so i think doing that it was like buddha day
32:35and we were like giving flowers and like putting candles and doing this uh chanting thing like sing it
32:44with them because there's like kind of a rhyming to it so just to learn how to sing it and read it and
32:50the whole experience i think it was like the coolest so far was so not my everyday life so it was super
32:59interesting i like that thank you for your time thank you yeah and uh have a nice trip you too
33:20so
33:29you
33:29you
