03:12oh really yes i was diagnosed with pcos which is polycystic ovarian syndrome five years ago when
03:18i was like 20. it's a hormonal disorder and it causes imbalance it used to have extremely horrible
03:24painful cycles and i had really bad fluctuating weight and it can lead to infertility is it like
03:31just a check-up or is it like you know something we're supposed to be talking about freezing my eggs
03:36really yeah this soon i'm 25 years old i'm not having any kids right now but you only have a
03:41certain amount yeah you know it lost my way my egg count was like she was like it's not great for
03:45someone your age because of your pcos no you should definitely it would be helpful to like preserve the
03:49really healthy ones so many women don't know until it's too late that they can't have kids so this is
03:54like actually better that you're being proactive about it like i don't even know how many eggs i have
03:57women we never think about what will happen in the future because we're usually living in the now
04:02but this is one of those things where it's really important to know what's going on with your body

05:25wait that too much my mom is korean japanese she was a single mom i am an only child i wasn't so close
05:34to my dad at all so my mom was like my everything she was super supportive hard working sacrificed her

10:05so when i met you luckily you were so young and i think we caught you in time and with during the
10:10surgery we put a progesterone iud in you to suppress the symptoms of it it's really really a hard thing
10:17when your hormones are not balanced because it was affecting me mentally it was affecting me physically
10:23and it's something that affects a lot of women that no one really talks about and it's one of the top
10:28causes of infertility so pcs and endometriosis are two of the top causes of infertility i have both right
10:36right because i feel like when i first came in to you a couple years ago that was the first thing that
10:39we spoke about and now i'm 25 and i'm gonna speak to you about what you think is best pcos is tricky
10:46because pcos patients have lots of eggs but the quality goes down after age 30 and we talked about
10:53endometriosis which pushes quality and count down this is the time to freeze your eggs your account is
11:00great and your egg quality is great i don't want to wait until your egg quality starts going down and the
11:07egg count goes down i just want to freeze these eggs in case you show up to my office at 38 and you just
11:13met your partner i don't want to worry about egg quality but 10 years from now you're going to thank
11:18me okay freezing my eggs is definitely not something i want to think about in this moment because it's
11:24planning for a future that i'm not necessarily sure if i even want or i'm ready to have if i freeze my
11:30eggs when should i freeze my eggs sometime this year do you think if you're my daughter you would
11:35be in a fertility clinic right now it's just an insurance policy it's expensive the problem with
11:40egg freezing is i wish it was covered i always say when patients are young and they have good healthy
11:46eggs they don't have the money they don't have the money but if you have the privilege of doing it
11:52then i think you should do it okay freezing my eggs is something that i want to go back to my mom and
11:57talk about not only is it taxing on the body but it is expensive so i'm a little nervous about telling

14:30you do feel like there's a lot of korean and japanese cultural influence in my house growing
14:35up because it comes from my mom and my grandma who lives nearby or used to now she lives in mexico and

17:10excited about that it's hard to get everybody together and the older they get and they have
17:14responsibilities and jobs what makes you smile hi mom i'm just very grateful that my kids love me so
17:22much i think that's great because sometimes you don't have your kids like that and i think that's
17:26because of how i was raised by my mom coming up if i want to have a kid 10 years probably the closest
17:35that you have to me wanting to even try that 10 years yeah i don't want to wait that long

18:42i think probably of all my kids ming is the most expensive on my credit card there's been some
18:51yves on the wrong items i've seen they're a little pricey i've seen accessories that rhyme with twerking
18:59look at the end of my bag but the egg absolutely i would do anything that i could do for my kids to
19:05be okay i'm that mom like mother teresa i'm not that old but kind of like yeah the doctor did say
19:15if i didn't take out my eggs right now that i might have trouble getting pregnant later oh and that's
19:21like sad but i don't know again i don't know how i feel i might be one of those people that have like
19:24dogs and then have no children no it won't be a possibility because we're going to take them out now
19:31no need to worry we're going to have a baby no problem give me those eggs girl i will take the
19:37eggs myself i'll harvest them myself and i'll make a million grandbabies it's okay with whom and
19:42absolutely not if i want to have a kid 10 years probably the closest that you have to me wanting to
19:48even try that 10 years yeah 10 years from now i'll be you'll be an actual age of a grandma i don't
19:54want to wait that long well i'm not ready to have a kid right now which we know because i am a kid
19:59now that i've spoken to her about it and it's in the forefront of her mind my mom will bug me about
20:04having babies for the rest of my life but i think i'm very lucky to have a mom that is as supportive
20:09as she is it's always better to have a mom that's more involved than not caring okay so we're gonna have
20:15a baby no we're not having a baby i'll just take all the eggs yeah i'm giving you the eggs but you can't
20:21use them right now okay okay i feel conflicted that my baby is having to go through pain or that she's
20:28having any trouble at all but ming has impressed me with her strength dealing with all of this
20:33she's really brave very brave i'm not having a kid wow okay we're having a baby this is exciting
20:42because i should be a young grandma i have to go take it easy you should cleanse your system
20:47to prepare for my grandchildren's arrival oh my god on the next kimura back in the fat lane you
