00:00Hello there, welcome to Getaway.
00:08Coming up, we take you on a one-hour trip right around the planet.
00:12From sailing the wonderful Whitsundays.
00:15You have total freedom to go where you want to go and see the places that you want to see.
00:19To discovering a different sign to the Hawaiian Islands.
00:23Hawaii is also home to some incredible ranches and its fair share of cowboys and cowgirls.
00:29Plus, whining and dining on South Australia's Florio Peninsula.
00:34It's an area of mellow Mediterranean magnificence.
00:38Our first, the gorgeous Greek Islands.
00:54What a place to welcome you to the show.
00:57We are in one of the most famous holiday locations on the planet, the beautiful Santorini Island.
01:06Formed by a volcano thousands of years ago, the spectacular lunar landscape and whitewashed cave architecture has become iconic.
01:16But seeing it for yourself is truly breathtaking.
01:25After boarding our luxury yacht, Emerald Azura, in the Greek capital of Athens, we've island-hopped our way to Santorini.
01:33From here we'll continue our dreamy guide through the Met on Emerald Cruises' vibrant Greece and Turkey itinerary.
01:44Santorini is the best known and most photographed Greek island of them all.
01:49But while its cliffside villages and incredible views have made it world renowned, its wine industry is one of the lesser known attractions.
01:58And how much wine are you producing every year from here?
02:04Well, some Santorini is the biggest winery in the island, produces roughly about half a million bottles annually.
02:11Which is not a very big quantity, but for Santorini is definitely a significant one.
02:17The grapes thrive in this land and they give you the specific character that you can only get from a volcanic terroir.
02:37Santor Wines is worth a visit just for the epic vistas.
02:41Now we're getting in the fun part of tasting some wines.
02:44What a perfect place to try the wine. This is incredible.
02:47I feel like we're overlooking the whole island up here.
02:50It's a view that you can never get enough of.
02:53But the wine itself is also a winner.
02:56What are we going to have?
02:57So, we will start off with our classic label, 100% Assyrtiko indigenous grape variety that we cultivate here.
03:07And Santorini is known for its white wine, isn't it?
03:10Yes, predominantly about 90% of the total production is white.
03:15So, cheers.
03:16Cheers.
03:17We say yamas here.
03:18Yamas.
03:19Yamas.
03:20Yamas.
03:25Ooh, I like that.
03:27Should we try another?
03:28Yes.
03:29Oh, I've been dreaming.
03:30Oh, I've been dreaming.
03:31I've been dreaming.
03:32Santorini is small enough that you can easily experience all the sights in a day.
03:42But a tour of the island generally starts right here.
03:46We're now in Ia.
03:48This would have to be one of the most popular places on Santorini.
03:51It is the most popular.
03:53Why is that?
03:54Every corner of the village is a postcard.
03:57Every place you go and you take a picture, it looks great.
04:00People love the place.
04:02There is no better place than that to be on this island.
04:05It is the most popular place.
04:11Emerald Cruises anchors for the entire day in Santorini, so that we can stay on the island to soak up all this.
04:24Watching a Santorini sunset is one of those bucket list travel experiences many of us have dreamt about.
04:32confirm it absolutely lives up to the hype what makes the sunsets here so spectacular it's the
04:38scenery first the cliff side the views it's almost like you are on a big natural balcony
04:46and you're watching the sun setting diving oftentimes in the ocean
04:50you're always welcome to dine ashore but when the food on board is this good
05:03and might i add all included it's hard to resist la cucina is the main restaurant on emerald azura
05:12and there's no booking required so you can dine wherever and with whoever you choose
05:17every table comes with views of the mediterranean but the terrace is most definitely the pick for
05:24our fresco dining
05:35saluting the sun on board as we glide through the mediterranean is a wonderful way to welcome the
05:41new day turn the right foot straight 90 degree open your hands and it's all part of the service
05:47with daily yoga and pilates classes just a couple of the many added extras that come with cruising in
05:53five-star luxury just forward slowly stretch your upper part
06:13mykonos is known all over the planet for its beautiful beaches and luxury resorts making it one
06:20of the most popular of all the greek islands and what do you think the biggest attraction is that
06:26brings people to bikinis i think that we have the cleanest waters in the mediterranean sea and the aegean
06:33the beaches are beautiful and you will not get the parties that are organized next to the beach
06:39anywhere in the mediterranean sea
06:41can you find your nice quiet pockets as well there are always places where you can find some peace of
06:51mind and you can have a coffee especially in the morning when little venice is not that crowded
06:59little venice is one of the most charming corners of mykonos and is found on the western part of the
07:04island stretching from the old port to the windows these windmills i feel are iconic how long have
07:17they been here for well they were built in the 16th century and they were used to grind wheat into flour
07:23for the population and for export and now are they used for anything they are just iconic landmark of
07:30mykonos and i guess it's appropriate to have windmills here because oh my goodness it's very windy yes
07:37as it always is in mykonos that's why it's called the island of the winds

08:34farmstays in australia have never been more popular
08:51farmstays in australia have never been more popular and it's the sort of holiday where everybody wins for
08:58the farmers they get to drought proof themselves and diversify their income and for city folk they
09:04get to dip their toe into a treasured way of life they may never normally get the chance to see
09:10so i hope you're ready we've got a farm tour to get to
09:17carina station is just a few minutes from lightning ridge a small outback mining town in northwestern new
09:24south wales just a little shy of the queensland border so how big is carina six thousand six hundred
09:32acres is that all small hobby farm for here what's it like for you opening your farm up to everyone
09:42i think it's great it gives an opportunity for city people or people from anywhere really to come
09:47and have a look what actually happens on the farm the country life is in joe's blood and he wouldn't
09:55have it any other way you know there's ups and downs and we're just gonna yeah ride them out and um you
10:00know there's good times and and there's times when things are tough so um yeah just gotta make a dollar
10:07when we can you know what's really nice is for your guests if they're camping here they can really have
10:14no one around them at all you really can have your own space well you can have your own space and you
10:20can spread out there's plenty of areas to spread out here you can see around us and you know that
10:25you can park and not see somebody else yeah joe and his wife jacinda bought the property in a pretty
10:32run-down state and they set about making it their family home and farm come into the shearing shed love
10:42love the shearing shed where did the name carinia come from carinia is an aboriginal word meaning
10:50happy peaceful home right family with three kids not always so peaceful bedtime never happy but where
10:58else would you want to raise your kids it works yeah it does did you ever think you'd be opening your
11:06property up to to the public as a farm state in a word no definitely not uh but i also didn't think
11:12i'd be 40 years old when i realized what what i wanted to be when i was a grown-up and what is that
11:17what i'm doing look i love it i love sharing this is your calling yeah it's an environment where guests
11:24truly are made to feel right at home i'm very impressed with your veggie garden now who is bob bob is one of
11:34our long-time guests who's been coming here for years and so he's created this for you he has
11:40it's fabulous isn't it the guest that keeps giving yes absolutely
11:47how many chooks have you got oh i've got a few just enough i guess to uh supply most of quite a few
11:54of the businesses right from hebel down through to walgett bet they love you they do they do most
11:59of the time i can't keep up with egg demand really they know that the eggs that they get from us
12:04are straight from the chooks bum they know exactly that they are real eggs they're every shape size
12:10and color as they should be they are animals they're not machines and that's the way i like it
12:18now for joe and jacinda this is just the daily grind but for many visitors it is a world away
12:25from their everyday why did you want to bring your children here your family we live in brisbane so
12:31we're in the city we do have a couple backyard chooks but which they love so they love animals
12:37and they they want to know we need to teach them about the farm and where our food comes from and give
12:43them a taste of the farm lifestyle
12:45there is so much room as far as the eye can see to set up camp and have complete seclusion but if
12:56you would like to ditch the swags and spoil yourself rotten you know you deserve it
13:01then jacinda and joe have you well and truly covered
13:04oh this is a bit flash i wasn't expecting this how lovely how lovely to just come in here and chill
13:16out and look these are the bickies made from the eggs straight from the chooks bum was just
13:23intermentioned this is lovely these glamping tents inject luxury into a remote outback stay every detail
13:39has been thought of to make sure it is a farm stay you will never forget for me
13:46this is my favorite time of the day this is when an outback farm stay i think really comes into its
13:56own when the sun goes down and the stars come out and you know when people talk about big sky country
14:02this is it this is what they're talking about there is nothing that you can hear other than
14:10mother nature and the crackle of a good campfire this to me is bliss
14:16the locals call this the flurio peninsula but please you can't bastardize a name like that
14:31it's the flurrier it's a beautiful word it sounds like a cross between flower and flourish or something
14:38it's an area of mellow mediterranean magnificence named after charles-pierre clare de flurrier whom
14:45i might add the history books describe as the eminent french wanderer and of course why wouldn't
14:52you where are you going mate i too can be an eminent wanderer
15:00the flurrier peninsula about a 40 minute drive south of adelaide is an undeniably intoxicating
15:06brew of wine country charm big sky scenery and gobsmacking southern ocean coastline
15:16before australia was federated and south australia was still a colony this area was a huge exporter of
15:23wheat today this is all that remains of the massive port woolunga wheat jetty in july 1888 friday the 13th
15:34mind you the star of greece was dashed upon the seabed just out here the marine board of the time
15:40investigated and determined that although drunkenness played no part the cause was a manifest want of
15:46skill which makes me question the sensibility behind naming the star of greece restaurant just there
15:53after such a disaster and particularly since it ain't a greek restaurant
16:00the star of greece has been a staple on the flurrier peninsula for over 20 years and with decades of
16:06experience making wine drinking wine and connecting with the region's providors owner doug govan's passion
16:14for keeping things local is contagious yeah so we've got a ceviche kingfish here which comes from the next
16:20gulf over so around port lincoln way calamari um that comes straight out of the waters here
16:27and then you've got the whiting in front of you which also comes from a little bit further south
16:33mostly around kangaroo island so we're just so blessed with fresh produce like this while the food
16:39and wine at the star of greece attracts throngs of those people that like to call themselves foodies
16:44every week port woolunga's crystal clear water and sand are its main attraction and if you're looking
16:50to make more than a day trip the jetty overlooking the entire beach has the best views in the house
16:58the beds are plush and king size and the rooms dial up the open plan vibes all the way to 11.
17:04however you choose to wander the flurrier be it hike bike or saunter there is one part of this region
17:14that must be explored it's wine
17:24and while this may look like the most chillaxed lawn party ever this is down the rabbit hole one of the
17:30regions most popular cellar door and food experiences how was everything for you guys
17:36today enjoyed everything yeah the brain child of dom palumbo and his wife elise cook wine tastings
17:42here are done on the top deck of the family's very own bus so this is a chardonnay obviously
17:48that's our chardonnay so it's a really fresh take on chardonnay really light very crisp and
17:53the bus we took a sabbatical spent two years going around the country in our combi van
17:59and we used our combi as a tasting room while we did that so we were selling our wines to
18:04restaurants bottle shops and grey nomads in caravan parks so that gave us the idea let's
18:09create a bigger version and that's why he's sitting on a bus
18:15the wine and the atmosphere are only part of the happening here the food is all focused on local
18:20organic produce and four times a week dom and his chefs roll out an authentic italian food experience
18:29and we sit down they put their trust in us and we just bring food out to their heart's content
18:36basically it's so colorful so fresh well a lot of the produce is fresh out of our garden and what
18:41doesn't come from our garden comes off of all other beautiful local farms and it's really important to us
18:47organic locally sourced produce is so important to us
19:02coming up next you and i are enjoying the sights and delights of portugal when i travel to a new
19:09country i really like to immerse myself and when i say i miss myself i mean really
19:28welcome back to getaway and scenic's unforgettable doro river cruise
19:33a journey that is so far well and truly living up to its name
19:43slowly meandering our way along the doro river aboard scenic azure is definitely one of the most
19:49relaxing ways to travel
19:55each day a new port of call awaits
19:59and today it's regua a charming town often regarded as the gateway to the doro valley
20:08one of the joys of traveling by ship is being able to explore some of portugal's less discovered
20:15regions so imish how do i pronounce the name of this town who can yeah who can yeah yes and the romans
20:22were the first ones exactly the romans they were the first ones to start producing wine in this
20:28region according to some archaeological excavations so we've got them to thank for
20:33the wine absolutely they were the first ones
20:41when was this bridge built this bridge was built in the 14th century and this was the very
20:48first tall bridge we had in our country when we're walking through i noticed all these marks on a stone
20:55what what do they represent they were signature of the stone masons because at the time they would be
21:02paid in the end of the day according to the number of stones they would place so they got paid per stone
21:09exactly so that was like their invoice right the invoice at the time that's true
21:22this entire region holds a wealth of historical riches but the pinnacle is here in lamego
21:32this town lamego it's really an important town to portuguese people absolutely lamego it is a
21:39monumental town it is the place in portugal with the greatest concentration of monuments per square meters
21:46but this one is the most magnificent of them all it's breathtaking
21:51it is indeed this is one of the most important monuments baroque architecture style we have
22:00in this area of of the country they really make you work for it too with all these stairs
22:05absolutely this is to be close to the heaven so that's the reason why the shrines they were located
22:12at the top of the hills the sanctuary of our lady of remedies is a striking 18th century baroque church
22:20visited by pilgrims from around the world i'm feeling the burn but it's so worth it it is indeed
22:36back aboard scenic azure an afternoon on the sun deck lazing about in the vitality pool
22:42is the perfect way to really soak up the european summer when i travel to a new country i really
22:49like to immerse myself and when i say i miss myself i mean really i miss myself
22:54from ancient ruins to vines as far as the eye can see portugal's doro valley is certainly delivering
23:10the goods at every turn every day you can take the experience at your own pace
23:17or sign up for one of several included scenic free choice tours
23:26like today's guided tour of a palace and gardens that may just look a little familiar
23:32i do recognize this from the wine label yes actually you are looking to the image the of materos a wine
23:44label actually it is a baroque palace from the first half of the 18th century designed by an italian
23:52architect casa de matus was completed way back in 1744 becoming a heritage site in the 1970s
24:02the family had a noble title and the first born in each generation was the administrator of the state
24:10and the house after how many generations we are talking about right now 14th generations
24:20the palace and its gardens are a striking statement of wealth and centuries of portuguese history
24:27so where exactly did you take your inspiration from our inspiration came from the versal palace in france
24:34that is probably the most iconic symbol of baroque in all the world this is just glorious yes and this
24:42is one of the main inspirations of the the versal palace gardens you can find a lot shapes from that place in
24:53here the meticulously maintained gardens are matched by the lavish palace interiors
25:13what a joy it is traveling through this beautiful region drinking in views like this

26:49i know what you're thinking you would love nothing more than packing your bags and coming here
26:55to the beautiful whitsundays and boarding your very own luxury yacht now it does pose a couple
27:01of challenges for most of us though number one you may not have a luxury yacht and number two you
27:06may not have a lot of boating experience well up here in queensland with sunday escape has been
27:12taking boat lovers and giving them the experience of a lifetime this sleek vessel is ours for the next
27:21few days 43 feet worth of power boat whose sole purpose is to give you unparalleled access to this
27:28stunning part of australia it's a great way to see the whitsundays you have total freedom to go where
27:38you want to go and see the places that you want to see the main thing that we want from our charter is
27:44a basic understanding of chart and compass and then the rest of it we show you guys the ropes how to
27:50operate the boat where to go around the whitsundays all those great snorkel spots the whitsundays escape
27:56team will teach you everything you need to know to safely skip of the boat you don't need a license
28:03but a bit of boating experience will come in handy a lot of the feedback we get is the wildlife is
28:08amazing you know the fish manta rays turtles all that really cool stuff it's whale season at the moment
28:15so it's yeah it's fantastic the whitsundays earned its name from captain cook back in 1770 made up of 74
28:28picture-perfect islands many of them surrounded by pristine white sandy beaches and sparkling coral reefs
28:36this one white haven beach has been crowned one of the most beautiful beaches in the world
28:42we're heading out around the whitsunday islands now and i thought i'd just show you around the vessel
28:48so you know what you're going to get as part of the experience and this is obviously a wheelhouse
28:53and this whole area here this is another entertaining area
28:59the living area downstairs is spacious and airy and there's everything you'll need to cook your own meals
29:06the cat comfortably fits my traveling companions and myself with two comfy double rooms and a master suite
29:15the bathrooms are well set out too with plenty of room but i've got to say if you can get away from
29:22your friends and family for just a moment come back up here to the wheelhouse and that right there
29:27on the day bed has got to be the best spot on the boat being in charge of the boat is all about
29:37exploring but you also have regular radio access back to whitsunday escape base this is castaway
29:44castaway on 82. if you need any help with choosing an anchorage or any other nautical bits and pieces
29:51free look one of the great things about this kind of holiday is that you've got this whole area of
29:57the whitsundays to explore so wherever your family or friends want to go you can head off you can stay
30:02there as long as you want i'll take you to my hold on my friends let's get away get away from it all
30:11langford island which sits just off hayman is one of those iconic islands that encapsulates
30:17everything good about the whitsundays
30:24at low tide its long sandy spit emerges from the water giving you great access as well as a chance
30:31to stretch your legs and have some fun one of the huge draw cards of the whitsundays is that the water
30:40temp sits around 24 degrees all year round three two one and so no matter what time of year
30:47come there's always a chance to get wet
30:53what do you think's the best part of an experience like this especially for people
30:56who are coming on holidays i think the vast amount of opportunities in order to snorkel swim

31:56welcome back to our scenic river cruise through central europe so after leaving slovakia scenic
32:03amber has cruised gently through the night to deliver us to vienna
32:08giving us a whole day to explore any way we see fit another day another country but our beloved
32:18danube has delivered us to austria and its capital vienna and believe it or not i am right on the edge
32:24of the city here the viennese absolutely love their green spaces they are known for their great lifestyle
32:31and they've really mastered being able to marry the old with the new so let's get out amongst it let's
32:37get the heart rate going well it's no secret that vienna's cultural resume is as grand as its architecture
32:48but beyond its boulevards and concert halls this is also a city with its handlebars firmly in the 21st
32:55century so i have opted to start the day on two wheels
33:03marco yes what have you got planned for us for today today i have for you this beautiful island
33:12which is 24 kilometers long it's lovely literally you will feel like you are in nature that we are
33:18like hundreds kilometers away from the city but it's in the middle of the city
33:23built in the 1970s danube island was originally designed to safeguard vienna from flooding but today
33:31it is one of europe's most successful examples of urban green space planning and i love it
33:40how beautiful the swans leaving the cycle paths of danube island behind we're headed for the hills
33:47and right in the heart of it is this place oh my goodness this is impressive and it's immaculate it's
33:59so clean very well maintained
34:04well this is close to neuburg abbey which literally means newcastle abbey
34:10it's nothing new about it because it was founded in the early 12th century
34:18it was found in 1114 by saint leopold
34:23the story is that when he and his wife agnes were married her wedding veil blew away
34:29and some years later he found it in a mulberry tree
34:33and he decided then to build the abbey
34:44wow what a beautiful day we've had i've loved every second and as magic hour descends on vienna
34:50what better way to usher in the evening than with a private concert arranged exclusively for us guests
34:57at the iconic halle lichtenstein are you in a good mood tonight

35:51Today we are exploring one of the most gorgeous regions on the journey, Austria's wonderful
36:04Macau Valley.
36:05Kicking the day off right here in Krems.
36:09I'm going to say this with love, I feel like I'm on the set of a Disney movie.
36:20Do you think Walt Disney came here before he created Disneyland?
36:24No, we created Disneyland.
36:27You were first, this is just so perfect though.
36:30The thing is Krems is an incredibly old town and we even have prehistorical findings here,
36:36a little figurine for example that is 36,000 years old.
36:40So the region always was settled by mankind because the conditions here were ideal.
36:45The Wachau Valley is some of the most fertile ground in Austria for thousands of years.
36:54People have walked these hills, farmed these fields and pressed grapes into wine.
37:01The winemakers here have had to carve steep terraces right into the hillsides to grow their wines.
37:08Machinery cannot be used on these here slopes.
37:11So nearly everything from the pruning to the harvest is done by hand.
37:16Wine is a plant that can withstand harsh growing conditions.
37:20Real good wine wants to be challenged in the vineyard.
37:23You want to have poor soil, you want to have pure rock underneath.
37:28You want to have the plant somehow struggling.
37:31Because that ends up in a very, very high fruit quality.
37:35The Wachau Valley is famed for its Rieslings and Gruner Veltliner wines.
37:41And what are we sampling today?
37:43We are sampling something different in the first moment.
37:46It's Muscatella.
37:47And this is a more fruity wine.
37:49Fruity and delicious in the direction of elderflowers in the nose and more grapey in the end.
37:56Oh, that's lovely and light and crisp.
38:02Yeah, refreshing is probably the best.
38:04Liquid sunshine with a breeze.
38:06Yes.
38:07A little cherry on top.
38:08That's what it is.

38:54Coming up next, Hawaii's cowboy country.
38:58You're going to have to take care of me today.
38:59Can you guarantee me that, please?
39:01She says she'll do her best.
39:03The entire state of Hawaii is jam-packed with beautiful sights.
39:14And generally, it's the coastal locations that get all the glory.
39:17But Hawaii is also home to some incredible ranches and its fair share of cowboys and cowgirls.
39:22We're at the edge of Wahoo's famous North Shore, an area known for its world-renowned surf beaches.
39:31But today, we're exploring a much lesser-known slice of Hawaiian history.
39:37So Gunstock Ranch started in 1973.
39:43It was a sugar cane plantation until 1971.
39:47When the mill shut down on the island, it became Gunstock in 73.
39:51Right. So when people come to Hawaii, you sort of think sand, sand, surf.
39:55Yeah, people just think of Hawaii, like you said, as the oceans and the beaches.
39:59But we have such an incredible landscape out here with the mountains and the ranges and the ridges.
40:05And incredible hiking and all sorts of things.
40:07We don't pause cows!
40:08Yeah, so we are working cattle ranch out here, so...
40:11It's a good day for it, a good day for it.
40:15There's plenty of ways to explore the ranch, with trail rides for all ages and abilities.
40:20But it's the ATV tours that give guests access to Gunstock's signature experience.
40:27Alright, so this is our planting spot for the day.
40:31We're going to be planting milo trees today, a great native species here in Hawaii.
40:36So part of this ranch is purely dedicated to replanting native plants.
40:43Yes, exactly. So Gunstock Ranch has about 1,000 acres out here total.
40:46And we've dedicated 500 of that to this reforestation program.
40:51Perfect.
40:52It's coming!
40:53Yep, great. Lock them right down there in the ground.
40:57Great job. And again, just keep pressing nice and good down into the ground.
41:01So now that I've put them into the ground, this is my tree.
41:05That's your tree forever.
41:06So the really cool thing about the trees that we can plant here is we're going to put a little tracking device in the ground,
41:12with your tree, and you'll be able to track its growth.
41:15And then in years to come, one year, two years, three years, however many years down the road,
41:19you can come back and visit the specific tree.
41:22Oh, I love that. So I can come back and visit my tree.
41:25Absolutely.
41:26I've got to think of a name for my tree.
41:28You do, yes.
41:29You wouldn't expect tree planting to be a spiritual experience.
41:33But here at Gunstock, that's exactly what it is.
41:36And the Hawaiians have a word called mana.
41:39So it's your spirit.
41:40And when we transfer the water, it's going to run through your hands into the roots of your tree.
41:48And that's going to be transferring your mana and your spirit into your tree.
41:52This is such an experience, honestly, like...
41:56I don't want to leave him.
41:59I just want to stay here and watch him grow.
42:01After a bit of thought, I thought, you know what?
42:06I'm going to name it after Mum.
42:07It's called the Jackie tree.
42:09Grow up, big Jackie! You got this!
42:11As well as allowing us to channel Owen a nature warrior, the ATB is the quickest way to get around this vast property.
42:21So we're headed up to the lookout spot, and this is that ocean view that everybody that comes out to Hawaii is looking for.
42:27That's what I'm looking for.
42:28It's absolutely stunning.
42:34Are you kidding me?!
42:36So this is our lookout spot.
42:38It's a beautiful, beautiful area here.
42:40This is the very start of our North Shore of Oahu here.
42:43So that's the North Shore.
42:44That's where all the surfing happens?
42:46Exactly, yeah.
42:47So Pipeline's the biggest surf spot here.
42:48It's just about ten minutes down the road from us.
42:50You've got the ocean, you've got the mountain ranges, you've got absolutely everything that is the beauty of Hawaii right here in front of you.
43:00And if you thought the scenery was spectacular from an ATV, we'll wait till you've experienced it on horseback.
43:06If you've got a country song, ride them down a country road.
43:12Well this is your pretty girl today.
43:15What's her name?
43:16And this is Cedar.
43:17Cedar!
43:18Hi!
43:19How are you?
43:20You're going to have to take care of me today.
43:22Can you guarantee me that, please?
43:23Okay.
43:24She says she'll do her best.
43:25How did this place become Gunstock Ranch?
43:32So the story is actually really fun.
43:34Dr. Max Smith was actually the state veterinarian and his favourite horse was I'm a Gunstock Rebel.
43:42And so from that horse came the name Gunstock Ranch?
43:45Exactly.
43:46I can't see how many horses do you have here at Gunstock Ranch?
43:51So actually in our herd that we use for the trail ride, there's about 60 of them.
43:55And the really cool thing is about 20 of those were actually born and raised here.
43:58They're out of that Gunstock flood line.
44:04Look at this view.
44:05Isn't this amazing?
44:06We have a fire set up with a view.
44:09Not bad, right?
44:10Not a bad afternoon at all.
44:12You show me how it's done.
44:14You gotta just either rotate here.
44:21Oh, yeah.
44:22Oh, yeah.
44:23That's what it's about.
44:24That's life right there.
44:25Kenzie, I've got to say, this is not how I picture an ending my day on the North Shore,
44:28but I could not imagine a better ending.
44:30Cheers, legend.
44:31Cheers.
44:32I hope that you've enjoyed travelling with us.
44:38Next week we have the magnificent Top End.
44:41Honestly, this is just one of those pinch yourself moments.
44:45Plus, you and I, we are visiting paradise.
44:48I can officially tick off the bucket list I have made friends with a turtle.
44:53Okay then, bon voyage and happy new year.
