00:07greatest examples of sporting performances that saw teams assert their
00:10dominance and superiority number 10 the flu game if you think something as
00:18trivial as feeling under the weather is gonna keep the goat Michael Jordan down
00:21think again I said how do you feel he said I really feel horrible but his
00:25history in games where he's either been hurt or sick has been bad news for the
00:29opponent and as you can see he's ready to go tonight game five of the 1997 NBA
00:33final saw the Bulls come up against the mighty Utah Jazz after sharing two games
00:37apiece in their first four meetings of the series game five represented a crucial
00:41chance for one team to break away unfortunately Jordan came down with what
00:47was described as flu-like symptoms just before the game however his indomitable
00:51will completely took over causing him to fight his way through those four quarters
00:55when the dust had settled Jordan had given the game as everything and he had
00:58scored 38 points to seal a crucial win
01:01an awe-inspiring performance number nine Nuggets deliver historic playoff domination when a team
01:16performs so badly that it basically ruins our perception of the matchup itself
01:20that's a real disparity in quality big big game obviously Denver looking to put a
01:24stranglehold on this series going up 3-1 New Orleans trying to tie it up at two
01:29and make it a best upgrade to say that the New Orleans Hornets imploded in game
01:34four of their 2009 playoff showdown with the Denver Nuggets would be putting it
01:38lightly I'm trying to be kind there are a lot of things I could say I'm gonna leave
01:42them for as bad as they were though credit has to be given to the offensive
01:46brilliance of Denver who managed to beat 121 to 63 that's a staggering margin of 58 points which at
01:52the time tied the largest blowout in the history of the NBA playoffs
01:56a 121-63 decision in game four for the Denver Nuggets they take a 3-1 series lead and we have
02:05witnessed history number eight team USA sets Olympic basketball standard it's no secret that the USA is
02:11the most dominant force in world basketball the NBA is the pinnacle of the sport and the home for
02:15the majority of its best players so when the US came up against Nigeria in the group stages of the
02:202012 Olympics they delivered what can only be described as the quintessential blowout the
02:24difference in quality was clear from the get-go but team USA wanted to go out there and make a
02:29statement Carmelo Anthony in particular was absolutely electric posting 37 points to lead
02:34his side to 156 to 73 victory that's a margin of 83 points a frankly ridiculous record to achieve
02:41number seven Brazil's 1970 masterpiece versus Italy when your team consists of legends like Pele
02:46Carlos Alberto and Jairzinho they're going to be pretty hard to stop Brazil are the favorites
02:52they've scored 15 goals in five matches so far at this tournament however in their 1970 world cup
02:58final showdown with Italy they produce probably the single greatest team performance in football
03:02history up to that point in time this was a side that performed with a level of elegance that had
03:06never been seen before in the beautiful game oh he's done it Gerson and Brazil take the lead again
03:15just look at what it means to these players Alberto's famous goal from this match illustrated that point
03:23perfectly in the end they hammered the Italians four to one taking home the world cup trophy with a

03:36ever win the world cup three times and didn't they do it in style number six all blacks deliver rugby
03:44world cup landmark in the 1995 world cup the all blacks had truly nailed their formula they were in many
03:49ways the perfect rugby unit and it's that easy their group stage showdown with Japan showcased them
03:55playing the greatest offensive rugby of all time they scored 21 tries breaking the tournament record
04:00before leaving the stadium with a 145 to 17 win it's another try for the all blacks it's from one
04:07end of the field to the other it was very clearly the standout singular performance of the tournament
04:12even if South Africa ended up having their own insanely powerful display in the final sure New Zealand
04:17didn't take home the trophy this year but this win showcased rugby played to absolute perfection
04:21that is the last act of the game it was an absolute route number five 49ers execute dominant Super Bowl
04:29performance this Super Bowl showdown between the 49ers and the Denver Broncos is one of those sporting
04:33milestones that will always be seen as important and the Broncos fail on their first possession though
04:39predicted to be a tightly contested game the end result was mainly one-way traffic Joe Montana and the
04:4449ers gave the Broncos a lesson in offensive potency and defensive solidity that left their opponents
04:49totally bereft of options to this day this is the gold standard for Super Bowl blowouts when all
04:57was said and done Montana and co had stormed to a 55 to 10 victory clearly proving that they were the
05:03dominant force in the NFL family there's no higher honor than winning the Super Bowl there's no better
05:09feeling than this feeling right now number four Barcelona complete the remontada versus PSG overcoming a
05:17four nil deficit after a disastrous first leg is going to be a tough task no matter who you're
05:21playing doing it against the mighty Paris Saint-Germain though yeah this should have been impossible
05:25somehow some way despite the extremely long odds Barcelona led by Neymar and Lionel Messi began to build
05:31momentum early by the time the first half had ended they had already scored twice even though PSG made
05:36things harder with a beautiful Edinson Cavani goal Barca kept pushing eventually winning the game 6-1 on the
05:42night and 6-5 on aggregate the last minute from Sergi Roberto is one of the most thrilling pieces of late

06:02few equals the notion of winning by a margin of 73 to 0 in any game is impressive to do so in a championship
06:08game is a different level of difficulty in this game the Bears gave us an insight into what the
06:12next decade of American football would look like all these years later people still point to it as
06:16one of the most remarkable drubbings of the 20th century in sports number two Hungary destroy West

08:07Brazil 7-1 for a country that has football in its DNA as much as Brazil does there was something kind
08:13of bleak about watching Germany run rings around them in the world cup semi-final of 2014
08:17it's not that the Brazilians had an especially bad team on paper or anything the Germans were just
08:29locked into a totally different level banging in goal after goal to eventually extend their lead to 7-1
08:34this included a blistering run of five goals in just 18 minutes it wasn't just a dominant win it
08:39was a literal audit of every possible flaw in the Brazilian side's structural makeup
