00:11Rompin District Police Chief Superintendent Sharif Shai Sharif Mondoy said the bridge connecting Kampung Selendang and Kampung Sungai Mok collapsed at around 8 a.m.
00:22Three policemen from the Kuala Rompin police station were deployed at 2.20 p.m. to carry out rescue and evacuation operations.
00:30The evacuation involved two adult men, three elderly women, a pregnant woman and a young girl, with those at highest risk, moved first to ensure their safety.
00:40All seven victims, aged between 11 and 55, were relocated to stay with relatives.
00:46Meanwhile, the Rompin District Public Works Department said Jalan Kampung Sungai Mok has been closed to all vehicles following the bridge collapse.
00:54The closure affects bridge number one, with no alternative route available.
