00:05Rockstar Games announced that its incredibly popular Grand Theft Auto Online is free for
00:10PS5 players for a very limited time.
00:13The best part is that a subscription to PlayStation's online gaming service, PlayStation Plus,
00:17is not required.
00:19GTA Online does not require PS Plus for a limited time.
00:24In a tweet on Rockstar Games' X account announced that GTA Online is free on PS5 between now
00:29and November 17th, however, there is a bit of a catch.
00:33This does not mean PS5 players who play the game will now own it.
00:37Instead, this is more like a free trial so players can get a taste of the online open-world game.
00:43Once the offer ends, players will need to purchase the game and have a PS Plus subscription.
00:48GTA Online for PS5 is $19.99 on the PlayStation Store.
00:53The online game is also playable for anyone who owns Grand Theft Auto 5.
00:58Players who have somehow avoided playing the critically acclaimed game can get it on PS5
01:02for $39.99 on the PlayStation Store.
01:06GTA Online was originally released on PS3 as the online multiplayer mode for GTA 5.
01:12Since then, Rockstar has continued to support the now standalone game for over a decade.
01:18Most recently, players can partake in the Cayo Perico heist to steal the Panther statue, as
01:22well as receive double rewards on buried stashes.
01:26GTA Online is a solid game to play for PS5 players eager for the release of GTA 6, which
01:32was recently delayed.
01:34Originally set for release on May 26th, 2026, the highly anticipated return of Vice City is
01:39now slated to launch on November 19th, 2026.
