00:00I had a good friend of mine in the higher
00:27enchilons of the political arena come to me and talk with me about his concerns.
00:32He said, I'm really concerned about what's going to happen at the camp.
00:34There's an election coming up and what I believe is they're going to use this camp
00:39as an example of why we need to focus on security.
00:43They're going to try and frame it so that people there are violent, they're extremists
00:47and they need to be dealt with in a really harsh way.
00:57Stephen Harper's Conservative government has always been a racist government against our Indigenous people.
01:14I'm suspicious that they're trying to flex their muscles because only about
01:21a small fraction of people actually vote. It only benefits probably one percent of all of Canada
01:27and it's the one percent elite.
01:29Legally, it's your right, I mean as the First Nations people, if this is your territory,
01:34to represent that to anybody that wishes to come into the territory
01:38or if they want to do work in the territory to settle that matter through the courts.
01:43We don't need that to prove that this is our land.
01:46It always has and the province and everybody else needs to prove why they think they can access our land.
