00:00Hey everyone, I'm the Canadian lad and I just watched the third teaser of Avengers Doomsday
00:05at .2 fabric speed and boy this was the best one yet. The OG X-Men are officially back in the MCU.
00:12This trailer man, it destroys the previous two by a mile. By a mile I say. The background score,
00:19the cinematography and the dialogue are night and day compared to the previous two teasers.
00:23The Russo brothers have really cooked with this one. There are a few breakdowns out there already
00:28but I have found a detail that nobody is talking about yet. So without wasting any of your time,
00:33let's break down this trailer shot by shot. The trailer opens inside the X-Mension and the
00:37camera starts gliding past the side of this chair and into this hallway. We see sunlight spilling
00:42through the windows and based on the layout, it looks like we're in this specific section of the
00:47mansion. The camera then moves down the staircase revealing the main floor of the building and this
00:52is probably the foyer area we're looking at. But notice how the X-Mension is completely empty,
00:57there's no one here. Which might be explained by the next shot where we see the plaque for Xavier's
01:05School for Gifted Youngsters, which is broken and battle damaged. This metal plate is usually
01:09attached on the walls of the entrance but by the looks of it, it seems to be on the floor.
01:14Meaning something terrible has happened inside the X-Mension. The camera then moves slowly around
01:20the mansion until we see Xavier's bald head in the distance, seated in his chair. This is the
01:24clearest early glimpse of Professor Charles Xavier in this trailer. Notice here we can see a statue
01:30in Professor X's chamber and some of the behind the scene footage did show us multiple giant statues
01:35scattered across the mansion. So this is probably part of that same setup. Professor Xavier's iconic
01:41chair then rolls into the view and this isn't the yellow chair from Multiverse of Madness. This is the
01:46gray metal version from the original X-Men movies, the Bryan Singer version. Then we cut to a chess set and the
01:52king piece levitates into the air. And we immediately know Magneto is here. Which also tells us that those
01:57pieces are probably metal. We can actually see Magneto blurred in the background here. Now Professor X
02:03and Magneto playing chess, that has to be a callback to the original X-Men movies. In fact, let me share
02:08a hidden detail that I'll tell you in a much greater length when I start my X-Men series in pointy fabric
02:13speed. In X-Men 2000, the way that Professor X and Magneto play chess at the end of the film mirrors how
02:19they think. Magneto, who has the clear pieces, is willing to sacrifice his pawns for the sake of
02:25the game. While Xavier, the frosted pieces, plays like every piece matters, he protects them.
02:30In chess, the pawns go first. Anyway, back to the trailer breakdown. We see Professor X and Magneto
02:36grabbing hands as if to say whatever happened or will happen, they'll stick together. And this is where
02:42we get a clearer look at both Professor X and Magneto, played by Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen.
02:47But I couldn't help but notice that Professor X is wearing a more militaristic style jacket with
02:52the X-Men logo now in red and black. But Magneto is in casual clothing, which might explain why we
02:58see Magneto with the long beard. Like whatever happened here, it broke him more than it broke
03:03Xavier. Ian McKellen's Magneto then smiles at Professor X and we cut to black. And this is where
03:09the money shot of the trailer comes in. We see James Murston, now in a comic-accurate cyclops suit
03:14for the very first time, taking off his visor, screaming at the top of his lungs and just
03:20unleashing his optic blast with full force. Now look at his face for a second. There's mud on his
03:25right cheek, which pretty much tells us Scott Summers has already got some dead ass beating.
03:30Come on Marvel, CGI this mud into blood in the final cut. Hurt my boy James. Hurt him so bad that
03:36we cheer for him to get back up. We then see him kneeling on the ground with both his knees,
03:41just like we see in the X-Men animated series. Now let's focus on the background for a minute.
03:45Do you see the giant pair of legs moving behind Cyclops? Look at the size of him. It has to be a
03:51sentinel, just based on scale alone. And this might be our biggest clue yet for how Doctor Doom
03:57breaks the X-Men apart in this film. He will probably control the sentinels using runes and magic.
04:02Meaning, this will be the first time we see sentinels in the MCU in live action.
04:06Now the bigger question is, what made Scott snap like this? We know he only removes his visor when
04:12he's absolutely at his worst. And by that I mean when he has no other option. And when he does that,
04:17you can pretty much guarantee his surroundings are gonna get toast. I cannot tell you enough
04:22how gorgeous this shot looks. The optic beam blasting into the sky looks insane. Now in the
04:28comics, it's been established Cyclops' eyes are basically a portal to another dimension. So that beam
04:33isn't just laser vision. It's raw energy coming from somewhere else. And that's why it is so
04:38powerful. Now we know Scott's visor was made by Professor X, so that he can aim and concentrate
04:43the blast, instead of leveling everything in front of him. It even has a switch. The harder he presses,
04:49the more energy comes through. But the fact that here in this trailer, he has completely removed
04:53his visor goes to show the level of anger and frustration he is in. So did Doctor Doom just kill
04:59Rachel Summers aka Scott's daughter? Or did he wipe out the entire X-Men for that matter? Because
05:05that's the kind of pain that could make Scott go crazy like this. Now there's also a comic parallel
05:10here. In Uncanny X-Men number 524, a variant by David Finch, we see Cyclops holding the lifeless
05:16body of Nightcrawler, striking a similar pose. So my theory is, whatever made Cyclops lose it like
05:21this, it has to be that someone was killed by Doctor Doom. Let me know your theories in the comments.
05:27The teaser then cuts to black, and we get the text the X-Men will return in Avengers Doomsday.
05:33And then the Avengers logo comes up in green. Something I already talked about in detail in
05:37the last two breakdowns. But this time, there's something new. A brand new easter egg. Do you
05:42see it? Those four claw marks on the right side of the logo. So what could that mean? That's right,
05:47Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is probably coming back for Avengers Doomsday, and this trailer confirms it.
05:53Now let me break down the voiceover from Ian McKellen. Magneto says throughout the teaser,
05:58and I quote, death comes for us all. That's all I know for sure. The question isn't are you prepared
06:03to die? The question is, who would you be when you close your eyes? Let's, the dialogue in this film
06:09is gonna be epic. Don't forget, Stephen McFeely, who co-wrote Winter Soldier, Infinity War,
06:14and Endgame, is writing the screenplay for this film. Now I can't play the score because of copyright,
06:19but I love what Marvel is doing here. They're blending the original X-Men theme by John Ottman
06:23with Alan Silvestri's Avengers theme. So it seems like incursions will not just be happening in the
06:29film visually, but in terms of music as well. If I had to compare the background score from all
06:34three trailers, it almost sounds like each trailer is from a different movie. Especially when the
06:39orchestra picks up when we see the wheelchair of Professor X. And that's how much Marvel is paying
06:43attention to every detail. Now I've seen some people saying this Cyclops scene could just be a
06:48flashback, like we're watching the moment the X-Men die, but I doubt it. Because Kevin Feige
06:53knows the backlash when Brad Ratner kills Cyclops in The Last Stand, literally 26 minutes into the
06:59movie. And even Bryan Singer didn't really know how to handle Cyclops properly. They've wasted James
07:04Mursten for years. So I really don't think Feige and the Russos are bringing him back just to do the
07:09same thing again. If anything, Marvel feels like they're in a full-on course correction phase right
07:13now. And that means giving us the Cyclops people have been waiting for. I truly believe
07:18Davey Mursten is gonna get the same sort of redemption as Andrew Garfield did. Plus,
07:22he was one of the main names revealed during the whole chair watch thing. You don't do that for
07:26a five-minute cameo, do you? And honestly, I didn't think James Mursten would look this good in a comic
07:32accurate suit. Well, as Deadpool said,
07:34That only took 20 f***ing years.
07:37Now a few months ago, the Russo brothers shared a photo of Robert Downey Jr.'s on said chair with his
07:42character's name on it, Victor Von Doom. But if you notice the dark wooden floor and the interior,
07:47this matches the interior of the X-Mansion. So we can assume Dr. Doom will be inside the
07:52X-Mansion and he will turn this place upside down from the inside. Doom is the reason this
07:58place looks like a graveyard. Now I like how Thor and the X-Men are both miserable in the last two
08:03trailers, but Steve Rogers is on top of the heels smiling looking at his newborn. Let me know your
08:07thoughts on this third teaser, which I think is the best one yet. I cannot wait for them to release
08:12this in 4K on their official YouTube channel. The Russo's are cooking, Marvel is cooking. And
08:17I'm telling you lads, Avengers Doomsday is going to be one of those movies people remember for
08:22generations. Now I'm hearing the fourth and the final teaser will be focusing on Wakandans and
08:27Fantastic Four. Now a big shout out to King Spike who has helped me make this video. You lads should
08:31definitely subscribe his channel on YouTube and follow him on Twitter as well.
08:42And I'll see you in the next video.
