The joy of giving continued at a delayed Christmas celebration held at Miracle Chapel Sentul in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 30. The church distributed some 1,000 packs of chicken briyani to the poor, along with food rations and school supplies.

00:29So this is what we do every year when we feed 1,000 kids,
00:42needy kids and single moms and mothers as well, elderly men as well.
00:481,000 people are fed every year with chicken biryani
00:51and then ang pao is given for RM50 and rations,
00:55rice bags and all kinds of groceries are given to them.
00:59To make them have a great Christmas and to start the new year with blessings.
01:04Our feeding actually is every week where 500 people are fed
01:07and this one is something extra where we feed 1,000 people
01:12and glad to see the smiles in the life of people,
01:17to see happy faces, joyful faces as we celebrate Christmas with each and every one of them.
01:25We are running 30 years but before us there was another group that was running.
01:30It started in 1942.
01:32During the Japanese occupation time there was no food
01:35so the chapel members used to give milk and tapioca,
01:39boil tapioca to the people.
01:42And eventually 30 years ago we took over.
01:44but the soup kitchen is since 1942.
