A rock 'n' roll band formed in 1966 in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, by guitarist/vocalist Des Henly and bassist Mario Ferrari under the name "The Balloons," which also included keyboardist Sean Mayes and drummer Barry Pike. Des and Mario had been friends since the age of three. When they were 15, they formed a band called "The Iveys" with Remo Ferrari (Mario's brother) on bass and John Watson on drums, who was later replaced by Bob Davies. In 1966, "The Iveys" disbanded after Remo got married and Bob Davies was called up for military service. Under the name "The Balloons," they toured clubs and universities across Britain and beyond. In 1967, they performed in Bulgaria and Romania, which was quite unusual for that time. In December 1968, the band performed for 10 days at the legendary Star Club in Hamburg, opening for Spooky Tooth, and in 1970, they played for the first time at the Cavern Club in Liverpool. In late 1971, while skiing on the slopes of Switzerland, Mario broke his leg and ended up in the hospital, where he had a lot of time to think about a new name for the band. In 1972, Fumble recorded their first self-titled album. That same year, they had their first major tour in Germany, supporting Bill Haley. In 1974, the band signed a contract with RCA Records and released their second album, Poetry in Lotion. The band disbanded in 1982. Sean Mayes died of AIDS on July 12, 1995, in London at the age of 49.

15:29We'd never knew, Mary Lou, Mary Lou, we'd never part, so alone, Mary Lou, goodbye, Lord.
15:36I saw your lips, I heard your voice, I just had no choice, why horses couldn't make the same way.
16:06All about the moon, I thought about the moon, but I thought about the moon, but I thought about the moon, but I thought about the moon at night, arms around you, good in time, that's all I had to see for me to say.
