01:00:09the room and i did a little bit of you know and then i found out we might i don't know i just thought
01:00:12maybe because american banter and stuff like that wouldn't we might collide if anything and then we
01:00:17just got on so well and then lisa as well got on amazingly as soon as we as soon as they stumbled
01:00:22into camp after the cocky van it was just like we'd known each other five years yeah really it was
01:00:27really good to watch it was really was you mentioned a lot in there about wanting to make
01:00:32your mum proud yeah i'm manchester proud yeah what have you learned about yourself since being
01:00:37in there um i'm a lot mentally stronger than i thought i was like i've always said i was that
01:00:41master of the mind taking the mic and stuff like that and then that was the hardest thing i've ever
01:00:45done and it tests you so much up here because there were so many days where i wanted to throw
01:00:49the towel in and just think do you know what i've done a few days i've got a feel for it and you got
01:00:53upset quite a few times yeah a couple of times um and then yeah to manage to get to the end and then
01:00:58when i look back now i think that's been three weeks it's gone like that but then if you think
01:01:01about every single day you've been in there you think yeah that was it was tough um just have to
01:01:07check up on you after that meal last night yeah are you okay i'm i'm okay now i've took two trips to
01:01:13the dunny a double cheeseburger and chips and halloumi fries to start yeah pepperoni pizza and southern
01:01:20fried chicken strips for me carrot cake the whole cake and fudge on the side with a large coke seriously
01:01:26are you okay yeah no i'm honest i needed that i needed that yeah honestly i've been on a huge
01:01:34calorie deficit yeah and i was actually a bit scared to walk over grids at some point
01:01:39just thinning every day but yeah i'm very happy i managed to get it all done uh jidge we've loved
01:01:45watching you uh what would it mean to you to be crowned king of the jungle it'd be unbelievable but
01:01:51um it's not i didn't do it to become king i didn't just for the experience so no matter who gets it

01:03:58was so gentle too gentle too gentle in hindsight what came yes i know if we had known how autocratic
01:04:07it would become we would have been flagellating but um no i i i i loved going in being flanked by
01:04:15somebody lovely and that made it all the more easy and then also it was the welcome because we were just
01:04:22welcomed with open arms well you made such a big impression the moment you arrived in camp especially
01:04:28with your vocabulary oh yeah have a look at this taciturn men are very good in bed it's
01:04:34califatient we're very approximate to the babbling brook it was like being walloped with a cudgel
01:04:40all my quills have stiffened heady heady melange morgan oh it has a music all its own the etymology is
01:04:49what does that word born of the sea i genuinely might need a translator i thought i wonder when
01:04:54tom's gonna switch that off oh my saint and aunt fanny we love your use of language tom are people surprised
01:05:04when they first meet you that this is you i mean this is you because people on social media been going
01:05:08he's putting this on but this is tom well my family gets it a lot they say is it the real mccoy and they
01:05:13have to say yes no mccoy could be realer um but but and also always had a penchant for a polysyllable
01:05:20but it's not intellectual you i like sort of masticating on it i like finding little pockets in
01:05:25my mouth and being able to chew on words it's a very physical almost sensual thing for me you're a
01:05:31fascinating i'm weak in return i've got weak i can't believe you know if you told me three weeks
01:05:39ago i could be in this condition and flirt i would have been utterly incredulous utterly incredulous
01:05:45but it works uh you had a fantastic relationship in there as well with ruby wax yes dame ruby wax
01:05:52what what did you love most about ruby what was it that drew you together you two i i think i've said
01:05:57this to ruby that everything she does tickles me she she is the only person i've ever met in my life
01:06:04that has funny bones every cell is funny and also i entered the camp hugely awed by her and typically
01:06:15historically that's been kiss of death because i've i've gushed and i did gush but it was like a
01:06:21squirting geezer and i got it all over right and then and then and then it was just love and then
01:06:26it was friendship yes yes yes then we had parity and love and that and then it was lovely to watch
01:06:31it really was uh well language isn't your only passion tom you are a man of many talents take a look at
01:06:39this yeah come on get happy i could have danced all night darling snakes i've got the star
01:06:51summer's lease hath all too short a date i'd be like a broad scorch and you fit a bill
01:06:58it was mega mega did you enjoy keeping them entertained in there oh well the thing is it was like ping pong
01:07:08wasn't it for that because i mean this is the most ticklesome group of people you could ever hope to
01:07:14meet and so you had to bat the ball back yeah it was the only option wasn't it ruby to you every day
01:07:26you got to experience celebrity cyclone we saw how much you loved it i loved try and explain what it
01:07:31was like oh i've regressed childhood i felt eight years old there well i mean we both did and we all
01:07:38did we all did i mean shona she was peter pan i mean it was just it was heaven wasn't it age it was
01:07:47heaven i think it probably jungle arms slightly trumps it but but very very close second i think that was
01:07:55a highlight and what about for you personally tom what will you did you learn much about yourself what
01:07:59will you take away from this hugely i think that um i think historically i i i have a tendency to
01:08:08sort of be a little bit introspective sometimes and uh and that's not very good for me and i think
01:08:15what you have to be in the jungle is is with an outward lens because of the people but also actually
01:08:23because of the nature um because everything that you look at is majestic and everything that you
01:08:29hear is majestic you've got to just enjoy it you have you've got to be in there your whole focus has
01:08:34to be out and then you sort of forget this corporeal thing yeah and you're just a sort of a floating
01:08:41soul and i think it's a very nice way to live it takes an awfully long time to get used to it but
01:08:48when you do it it's wonderful then it's wonderful we've loved watching you in the jungle both amazing
01:08:54finally what would it mean to you to be king of the jungle i have to say because he is the titan of
01:09:03the trials and because he's done such a lengthy stint i think that the crown has to rest on this
