00:00Josh Hart rolled his ankle and is going to be out for the next couple of games with that injury that he sustained during the Knicks comeback win over Cleveland on Christmas Day.
00:12Josh Hart has been absolutely good. 12.3 points per game, 8 rebounds, 5.1 assists, shooting about 50% from the floor and 39% from 3.
00:22In a season in which he's had 10 double-doubles so far.
00:27If you look at Josh Hart, he's kind of the jack of all trades.
00:29He defends, he scores, he's shooting the ball really well this year after a poor start.
00:34And if you think about it, the double-doubles from his size of position are rare.
00:39The Knicks lose their engine, their grit and their glue.
00:45But look for players like Tyler Kolick, Deuce McBride, even Kevin McCullers getting time here.
00:51And that's a little bit of a shout-out to Mike Brown who, hey, Tibbs, here's something called the bench.
00:56You can play it.
00:58And so far, Mike Brown is pushing right buttons.
01:02Don't miss Josh Hart, but they got enough to make up for it with Kolick, Deuce coming back, and with McCullers.
01:10Josh Hart doesn't fill the stat sheet.
01:12He fills gaps.
01:13And Nick's got a fine way to fill those with other players.
01:15Speaking of injured, he's out again.
01:20Anthony Davis is injured once again and is going to miss time with the Dallas Mavericks for a minor groin strain.
01:28Light league will miss a few games.
01:31And I don't even know what a few games is to Anthony Davis because Anthony Davis seems to always be missing time.
01:39Every Mavs conversation centers around his availability.
01:43And I remember hearing Shaka Smart speak, and he said the best ability to have is availability and dependability.
01:55And that is just not traits you have for Anthony Davis.
01:59Although he is a defensive anchor, interior scorer, matchup nightmare.
02:04These athletes are going to keep giving problems for a team that's trying to find their way into a layoff, a playoff race.
02:15Simply put, the Mavs go as far as Anthony Davis can take them physically.
02:20If he can get them there, and if he's there, is he even there for the long term now that Nico Harrison has been let go?
02:30Let's head to other injury concerns.
02:32Let's go to the rookie Ace Bailey.
02:35The rookie out of Utah has been playing markedly better, but is out with a left hip flexor strain.
02:41And Ace Bailey has started to kind of figure it out.
02:44Scoring at about 10.4 points per game, 3.3 rebounds, 44% from the floor, and 36% from three.
02:53When you look at Ace, there's phenomenal talent there.
02:58But development matters more than timelines here.
03:02So they need to get this guy back on the floor to continue his development.
03:07Now, there's long-term upside that remains unchanged, in my opinion, of what I think Ace Bailey can do in this league.
03:15It's now about getting him health.
03:18But the thing is, is the future isn't about rushing him back.
03:21It's about staying right and getting him back on the floor when he's healthy.
03:26Another player out is going to be Cam Whitmore, who's out indefinitely after being diagnosed with upper extremity, deep vein, whatever that is, in his right shoulder.
03:35Now, Cam Whitmore is someone that's just such an enigma in this league because I saw the talent coming out of Nova.
03:42But he can't seem to get it together.
03:44I know he's getting you 9.2 points, but 29% from three, just not effective.
03:49But momentum pauses hurt young players most.
03:53So do attitudes.
03:55And he's been in the doghouse at times in Washington.
03:58He's got to find a way to get it together and get on the floor because eventually, guys like Middleton are going to get moved.
04:07Guys like McCollum are going to get moved.
04:10There's going to be playing time for Cam, and he's got to get healthy and get his attitude straight.
04:15I'll be and I'll be and I'll be I'll be and I'll be and I'll be and I'll be and I'll be and I'll be and I'll be and I'll be and I'll be.
04:19And I'll be and I'll be and I'll be an allen in my room by.
04:20And I'll be doing town that way.
04:22For everyone of theselist, who's exactly who's going to buy for you?
04:25You're going to get your go.
04:26You're going to have 50.3 minutes, but I'll be the one-level and long-level, which is probably something else.
04:30But for everyone who's going to take care of them wanted to do about someone else, that's also going to take care of mind.
04:35A great global opportunity, and that's going to bring all the way their world I'll be.
04:36They're going to be and are going to an eight meeting with what jemand that is.
