The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a bank holiday on Thursday, 1st January 2026, on account of the New Year. All banks, development finance institutions, and microfinance banks across Pakistan will remain closed for public dealings on this day. Normal banking operations will resume from the next working day. Customers are advised to plan their banking activities accordingly, while digital services such as ATMs, mobile banking, and online transactions will remain available.
