00:02:07complaining one bit all right a little bit of wind that's okay a little chilly we got a lot of racing
00:02:14that is gonna happen here today you're gonna love it we're gonna have a lot of fun
00:02:20we are here at galat motorsports park it is time for the invitational race for the first time all
00:02:26season long each round is now worth points and a half which means a racer wins a round they now
00:02:32get 15 points instead of 10. team kai is coming into the event sitting on top of the leaderboard
00:02:39but it is tight at the top the gap between first and fifth is only 260 points there are still enough
00:02:46points up for grabs for any of the top teams to make a run and take over that number one spot and
00:02:52with the big name trade that kai and ryan made last week i bet sean is still thinking about how
00:02:57he can get himself scott taylor so we all know we got to do as well as we can with these points and
00:03:06a half we got three races to either catch up or forget it yeah and at this point right now we're
00:03:10getting left behind some of the teams are out of reach of this championship we are not now is the
00:03:16time so we're going to do whatever we can to get scott taylor on our team last week they wanted 10
00:03:21for just scott and it just it wasn't feasible i offered 7 500 i think he's going to take that
00:03:27offer we're gonna have to come up with the money uh luckily my team said that they'd all pitch in
00:03:32so it's doable now you're dropping dock got to man yeah i get it at this point we have to make a
00:03:38business decision and you can't think with your heart every time yep you know what i mean
00:03:42got so much broken to pay for no and that's that's why i want to talk to you because i didn't
00:03:53i know that yeah me moving don't necessarily help you but it helps you financially

00:04:23for free you know i'm actually hoping maybe i can put brandon on a good team also you know they can go
00:04:28on a winning team and possibly win a championship this is the second week we got david on the team

00:04:41last invitation because he he helped me bail you guys out so so it's been a long hard road but i'm
00:04:49feeling good coming into this race our car was fast at the last race i did go to the finals though we
00:04:53turned our luck around so i'm looking for the uphill climb now because we already went back to the
00:04:58bottom now it's time to come back up it feels good to be this close to the championship what sucks is
00:05:03i've always been number two so there was no stress there was nothing no pressure you're just chasing
00:05:09that number one guy but now it's way worse being in the number one spot in these last couple races
00:05:13especially knowing that people's going to be getting points in a half and double points we've
00:05:17done good all year we started off at the end of the year me and david and lizzie toting our team we
00:05:22stayed in first and we picked up jew that was a big help and then right here in the end yeah i think we
00:05:28got the most solid team there is here as long as we can keep things together you got ryan with a lot
00:05:36of momentum yes and his team and they and you got point and a half point and a half and then double
00:05:41points we need to stop nate taylor yes i want us to win yeah i mean what we're here for

00:09:557 500 and a scooter the big ticket items in the trade were very strange but look these captains are
00:10:01trying to get their angle into this championship this change could make a huge difference hey we're

00:10:13with the points and a half today next week and then double we got a real good shot but still
00:10:20achievable it's doable we have to do well this weekend to still continue to have them we need
00:10:25the nates drawing the kai's and ryan robin robin yes yes stuff like that so we need some of them
00:10:33teams to go out so we need some luck yeah we need some luck and us running good at the same time i think
00:10:38all five people on this team could win at any moment i think so that's a good thing one of us needs to
00:10:42win this event this weekend it would be nice for sure with the addition of scott and brandon team
00:10:49murder nova now has all five drivers in the event leaving team murillo with none so that trade is
00:10:56already working out for sean the top three teams and points team kai team ryan and team dave also have
00:11:03all five in while disco dean bode and swanstrom each have four with this event being points and a half
00:11:10every driver in the field will earn 15 points just for making it into the first round but these
00:11:16captains know they got to move as many drivers as possible into the later rounds in order to stay in
00:11:21contention for the championship as you can see we have a group of drivers here on the starting line
00:11:27this group of drivers is the 32 drivers that will be competing for forty thousand dollars today
00:11:33there's 32 of them these drivers are going to each draw a chip out of the bucket
00:11:52round one there are a couple match-ups to keep your eye on scott taylor's going up against kyle
00:11:57canyon look you got to think scott is really wanting to prove that he is worth the money and
00:12:03the scooter that was put up to get the trade then you've got damon going up against lizzie look two
00:12:10new teammates two heavy hitters going up against each other and then we've got kai kelly going up
00:12:16against axeman look a lot of pressure on this race kai kelly trying to keep his team in first place
00:12:22and axeman sitting on the second place team all right folks invitational first round starts right
00:12:29now first pair that's going to be rich bruder going up against david gates first pair out all right he's
00:12:36coming now sorry we got it round one we got david gates first round's a tough round and we got to put
00:12:43a fast dude up in it we can't take him late so if we can knock him out on this round you know that
00:12:47allows us to get some more points even though it's one and a half points so that's it we got to do

00:14:55issues on friday worked really hard to get it back together the next three races are extremely important
00:15:02yeah points and a half points and a half and then double points it is invitational day it's a very
00:15:08important day because we do have points and a half you can't help but be a little nervous in
00:15:12these situations just because points and a half can make you or break you i definitely have a little
00:15:16bubble guts today so it'll be a driver's wheel race and a tuner's computer race so yes it's definitely
00:15:23a different track and um we tend to to thrive on off the trailer races and i like our chances here
00:15:29cool let's go do it we drew bode round one which is a pretty solid draw chase always tells me draw
00:15:35good before i go and i think we did just that
00:15:47team got four in man everybody car seems to be running good we got some momentum going man i know
00:15:53i got a tough fight but i feel good man i got the right lane i liked it i wanted it so i'm ready to go
00:15:58out there and show what this car can do
00:16:12and kala morton will take the win there nice pass right down through there bode he might have had to
00:16:29pedal there round one is always the most nerve-wracking so i'm really glad to get that over
00:16:35with we had a lot of problems on friday that we had to fix so i'm glad she's back together and she's
00:16:39healthy and honestly i was a little worried about bode guessing but he didn't and um yeah on around
00:16:45two so it's smooth sailing now all right next pair coming up right now we got chuck sightsinger going
00:16:50up against your great eight winner nate sailor well we finally got that monkey off our back
00:16:59i wanted that grade eight badly badly just got off the grade eight last night we got our first grade
00:17:05eight win we're super jacked about that uh we got a badass car right now this thing's flying we're
00:17:10ready for the invitation today to collect some points everything should stay the same we got
00:17:14the new push rods in and we got more room on our table for another trophy so i really want to do that
00:17:20today and this track's fast today's point and a half date so with five guys going rounds from our team
00:17:27we can shorten that gap up like we can make that gap disappear today so that's our plan that's what we're
00:17:31going to do anything any one of these guys needs whatever i have is theirs this team is ready to
00:17:36back each other and we're ready to win this championship
00:17:50i had a mishap of friday we torched a boater we broke two rods i made it in the invitational
00:17:55then i draw nate sailor like probably the fastest guy out of the parking lot but you can't win this
00:18:02invitational without going through the best so uh whether i racing first round or the last round
00:18:06you got to beat him in order to win this forty thousand dollars so hell bring it off
00:18:25and nate sailor will take the win there nice pass for nate he'll move on the next round
00:18:34that just took whatever he gave it so it did didn't it
00:18:40i was honestly afraid he was going to jump on me just because he's kind of known for that and
00:18:45he didn't he made it a fair race we turned on the green light and went right down the line and
00:18:49she's solid today so we got a good race car hey hey come with this

00:19:25we're one two three four five that's all i care about so we weren't able to race our way in we
00:19:42found some issues with the car we should have found him earlier but our schedule is so grueling
00:19:47we don't have the time to test we got clay cole clay cole's fast he beat me on the racer way in
00:19:53in colorado went on to make it all the way to the finals so i owe him one we're going to be one for

00:23:38grudge passes and pretty close race until i had to abort i know that my car is faster now than it
00:23:44was when we raced him so i think it should be good as long as i can do my job on the tree and not let
00:23:48him get out on me
00:23:59we broke a lot of things the other day i mean everything's new transmission is new third
00:24:03member's new so we can't really run it exactly how we would normally run it but we kind of know
00:24:08about where she's at so i'm confident going in the first round

00:24:40round one drivers meaning i draw chris rankin i've raced him many times before and i've always come
00:24:50out with a win so i don't plan it any different but hey he's getting better his car's fast he's one

00:25:17charm we can get over one on this one and we need it they got a fast hot rod and they're pretty damn

00:26:46us to go rounds and he was missing us the last two races so we got a good hot rod we got a good car

00:27:52finish line uh transmission line blows off thankfully you know if we're gonna look at any
00:27:57kind of luck at least it didn't burn me uh it sprayed to the right side of the car and honestly that's
00:28:03pretty lucky i'm not going to the hospital right now so i'm gonna take it as a win you know i'm healthy
00:28:08i can watch my friends race and uh we try to be the ones they're watching next week
00:28:11like a decent pass or something happened uh it blew a hydraulic line inside here i'm just happy
00:28:17it didn't get me it it like shot it burned all the carpet straight through like next pair that's
00:28:23going to be larry larson going up against daddy dave i think i'll make the same pass that made the other

00:29:02he hasn't outran me yet so i want to keep that streak going and see if we can go into the second round

00:30:43hey eventually you're gonna have to draw somebody fast and uh i think we got the car that can beat him i'm
00:30:49gonna try to leave on him and uh if i can leave on him i think we got it all right the next pair you

00:32:24of course we go out for first round of chip draw and i get damon merchant first round
00:32:30damon was definitely not the one i wanted to draw first round for invitational especially he's on
00:32:35our team and you know he's fast

00:39:42race racing without him so that definitely sucks but i've called him every pass that we've made
00:39:48he's watching it on live feed he's trying to coach me through i made three passes friday night and the
00:39:54car was steadily gradually driving left we had to put some preload in the car and i called him on the
00:39:59phone and he talked me through on how to get everything ready so hopefully this car will drive back
00:40:03straighter
00:40:22and seppi's gonna get the win there justin swansham on a pass but
00:40:27comes unglued there about the 330. you know i went out there
00:40:33this car out of nowhere it just snapped sideways if my dad was here he probably could have read
00:40:37the track a little bit better than i did you know i tried my best but it just wasn't good enough

00:44:45he was on fire his car was one of the fastest on the property he had a little bit of problems with
00:44:49it and i actually think he's back now he's been running good he raced his way in he's been taking out
00:44:55some some big name cars and uh he's fast
00:45:09we tweak the tune just a little bit off the first pass try to go a little bit faster
00:45:14we have to go as fast as we possibly can
00:45:24and verna nova takes the win with a great pass there in that left lane mike bovin right there with

00:45:52i left on him and i never looked back after that we got the wind light it was a pretty close race

00:48:50looks like axeman shoots did not come out but he makes the turn so that's good

00:50:16haley's watched me race as she grew up it's kind of cool to actually race um one of the guys's
