00:10Fourteen of the 15 members of the UN Security Council on Monday condemned Israel's decision

00:15to recognize the breakaway region of Somaliland.

00:19In its context, during an emergency session, Somalia's ambassador described the move

00:22as an act of aggression that could destabilize the Horn of Africa.

00:26Also, during the session, the Arab League and Pakistan were that the decision may be linked

00:31to a plan to forcibly relocate Palestinians from Gaza to the region.

00:36It is important to highlight that the United States was the only council member not to condemn the move,

00:41although it reiterated that it does not recognize Somaliland.

00:44Mr. President, A3 Plus strongly condemns the flagrant assault by Israel on the unity

00:57and the territorial integrity of Somalia by recognizing as an independent entity

01:03to the northwestern region of Somalia, so-called Somaliland,

01:08which is legally incapable of entering into any agreement or arrangement.
