01:13husband doesn't mind but tell me how does it feel when people go on and on people well men go on and
01:19on about it does it feel good well I'll be lying if I said I don't uh well any compliment is a good
01:28compliment irrespective so yeah but you get a lot of that all over the place well I guess um any fairly
01:35attractive girl down the street also gets loads of whistles and compliments so yes but this is the
01:40one part of your well what do I say figure yeah anatomy that's always spoken about everywhere
01:45um well uh well yes it feels good it feels great I mean the only thing is that every time somebody
01:51says something I've got to look over my shoulder to see is it looking good or not okay so that's the
01:56one thing you're really conscious about not conscious to make sure that it's perfect

02:08sensuality sometimes you feel it takes away from the woman inside you um well sometimes I ask myself
02:14the same question does it kind of dilute the person that I that you are I am but um I think all in all
02:22I think it's got equal weighted I mean even if somebody pays you a compliment if somebody says you're
02:27sexy someone says you're this or you're that I think at the end of the day doesn't take away from
02:31the actual person that I am right no it doesn't I still continue to be the same boring malaika that
02:39you see at all boring malaika no I don't think you're boring from any angle well that's what you see from
02:44the outside okay but basically you're a simple girl yeah yeah but it doesn't bother you there's only
02:48talk about sex appeal sex appeal sex appeal and no one knows the real inside you're barring of course
02:52close family and friends so why don't we bring that to forefront no we are not interested at all
02:57I want to tell you I have no interest in finding out I don't want to know the real you I want to
03:02know what's in the outside it's all about being artificial and selling artificiality in this real
03:07world I tell you so you've been married to our boss how many years has it been um the seven year
03:16itch is on actually seven year itch is on really it's been seven years it's been seven years and that
03:21day I mentioned it to somebody I said oh my god the seven year itch is like you haven't broken into
03:25hives exactly seven years exactly okay now you married into a fairly conservative family
03:34the Khan family of course and a film family that's been active in cinema for various years now uh was
03:42it difficult initially or you were your person always when you walked into a home like that
03:46because very conservative very traditional in every respect well when I actually walked in to the home
03:52into their home the first time I actually saw Sohail sitting in a pair of really tiny denim
03:59cutaways bare chested blonde hair on the balcony on his terrace practically sunbathing oh god can you
04:08kind of visualize that whole image over there so that's what I first time when I saw when I walked
04:13into the house besides meeting her boss prior to that so you you know I was like okay okay my kind
04:19of home totally my kind of home but I think you know things just uh you know just fell into place
04:25they're such a wonderful wonderfully accepting family you know so they don't really put pressures
04:31on you as in you've got to be like this or you've got to be like this you've got to follow certain
04:35norms it's never been like that I mean from the day I remember it's been open arms and
04:40and a warm welcome into a home and I I think that still continues to stay not just me but anybody
04:46who steps into their house but I think it's amazing because uh to allow you to look the way you do
04:51in public places in appearances on film and I think it's it's wonderful and it's a great great
04:57modern way of thinking I think which is so not what you call I totally agree you know in fact I always
05:03say my biggest fan I think apart from my my sister is my mother-in-law I mean she always she always
05:09tells me that you know like she flips through a magazine and or watches me on television or my
05:14song she always calls me or she you know pulls me aside to say that you know I was looking really
05:19great there or I really did well so it kind of makes you feel really good I mean in my my my father-in-law
05:24is always beta but I think that's really their model in-laws then I think that's the way I hope all the
05:32in-laws in India become I always say that if I ever have to come back you know rebirth and have
05:38to be married into a family I think I'd love to be married into this family all over again
05:42well well done now your own family of course uh your closeness to your sister is well seen well
05:47known and you're a close-knit family from what we hear now you do know she is our next guest tonight
05:52is she yeah am I supposed to act surprised yes you are considering you got dressed together I don't
05:58think you should act surprised at all I'll just bring you know what right out just bring her on

07:28change that but why something I just didn't enjoy why I don't blame anyone for it I blame myself because
07:33in my head it kind of seemed something different and you know I kind of perceived it to be something
07:38different very progressive but ultimately kind of just catered to um the sleaze that was going around
07:44okay so when I saw the film and for the very first time I saw my parents really upset with me and
07:49they didn't watch the film they walked out and that's not like them I mean and everyone was just
07:53very uncomfortable first of all you know being the little one of the family and
07:57really spoiled and really pampered I mean when they saw that for the first time I heard my sister
08:02my parents say to me that you know we didn't tell you to do films to do this is that what I said
08:07what were you thinking yeah she and everybody I mean and to see them disappointed not hurt or
08:15ashamed to see them disappointed my parents and my sister um really upset me and you know I just
08:21walked out and I said okay forget it mistakes happen and it's better best forgotten so so it was not
08:26that you you portrayed lesbian love that bothered you it was the way it was packaged and yeah you
08:31know because when I heard the subject current I thought it was very progressive and when I saw the
08:36film it was just a sleaze fest you know and then I just said uh you know because Isha Kopikar your
08:43girlfriend went on record saying that she was more comfortable with you than she has been with
08:47any other man now that sounds a bit suspect well I don't know what she meant by that but hold that
08:53thought we're going to take a break that's interesting think about all right doesn't get

09:17all right tell me Malaika we spoke about your family and their reaction to the work you do and
09:23how hot you look what about Arbaaz I think he should get a crown I mean he truly is a modern
09:28husband I mean what is his reaction to all your sensuality I think he's somebody who's very confident
09:35with himself so yes I think that confidence if it's there in you you know it obviously it obviously
09:42transcends into something else so which uh you know things like these issues don't really bother
09:47us I'm not saying they're completely devoid of it I think I'd be lying if I say that again but
09:52but yes there have there are times where things pop up but by and large I think Arbaaz is somebody
09:57who is who's very understanding very very very comfortable with himself very confident with
10:02himself and he gives that vibe always always when you see him he gives this very he's very comfortable
10:06and happy with his existence which is always what I think endearing so should I take credit for
10:12that or I maybe why was it wasn't he like this before considering the circumstances you and Arbaaz
10:19met during the tell me where was it um well we met on an ad and it was um it was one of those ads
10:27where we had to be really close and hot make love basically in the ad okay well the suggestion of
10:33making love so I guess look at the circumstances where we met so I think things have just been um
10:38you know just the same even today ever since hot and happening even today absolutely just like that
10:43cup over there brewing and me happening and not nothing strange ah okay okay all right so basically
10:52very understanding of the you know there's no because I'm sure there are a lot of other men out
10:56there who might wonder you know that how does the boss take it you know how does what is his reaction
11:00well I've had loads of people throw that question at me at you yeah is it mostly the men um or the
11:05jealous women women actually a lot of women you know isn't it strange I don't know how Arbaaz um
11:10you know accepts Malaika the way she is you know it's almost in a very um in a very derogatory way you
11:16know so it always gets back to us eventually you know like this is what it is and um and he
11:22literally brushes it off saying let them say what they have to say so yeah because he's confident and
11:27he's cool about you I think and that's what matters absolutely well touch wood you have a
11:31great marriage and I'm and I'm sure he'll stay like that which is not like a lot of other marriages
11:35we have around us you know where people's relationships keep changing speaking about
11:40relationships keep changing we are now with you okay what's it is it is it new season new man
11:46no I think when I was really young but look who's counting yeah it was it was you had no boyfriends
11:52when you were young you're making up now I think I don't when I was young someone came and whispered
11:56in my ear instead of telling me to go find mr. right they were and told me to go find mr. right
12:00now you know so like right now I think in my head somewhere mr. right now mr. right not stuff no but
12:07believe it or not when I was growing up I was a telltale sister you know when Malaika had a lot
12:12of male attention and I was the geek so she was terrible yeah every time I spoke to Malaika I'd be like
12:18mum Mala's talking to a boy and he came and met her at the bus stop so I was like you were like one of
12:23those those bestie sisters totally like you know back row students yeah no very out of the class
12:29yeah more like it but she was painful she'd never let me even talk to a guy in in peace I wanted to
12:34become a nun Karan so that explains the darling I think that is not what you're doing right now at all
12:40I mean this is no none behavior I can assure you so by the time when I turn 18 and you know then I
12:48said oh okay okay let's not talk in general let's be specific here now okay there was rumored link up
13:01with even Fardeen at one point of time now did that happen ever was it just a friendship it was just a
13:05friendship it was rumored you know I mean I think I was too young and I have my live meter so I mean
13:11no I'm telling you I should use it I'll tell you the truth on the set I used to talk to him like I
13:15would talk to another male buddy you know you don't have this thing when you enter the I entered the
13:19film line not knowing anybody plus I came from MTV where everyone was too free with each other we
13:24talked we'd hang out so when I wanted to talk to my costa I'd go into his van or I wanted to meet up
13:29with my costa I'd call him up so I think that was really blown out of proportion I didn't know how to play
13:33hide-and-seek basically with the media or with people but there was nothing I think it was a
13:38good friendship that kind of went a little sour because of the media rumors and people spoke a lot
13:43of rubbish but yeah we're friends again and you know he's a great guy one of my best coasters I
13:50enjoyed working with him yes and that was that and I think he's absolutely adorable he's a sweet
13:55yeah and I went on to print in print and I said I think he's the hottest and I think he's the best
13:59looking which I genuinely felt and that was just kind of blown out of proportion and misinterpreted
14:04so that's right so you are also a victim of the media you poor child I tell you sir and you really
14:10look like you are a victim I mean you know can't you I can I mean Malaka you know you're with me on
14:15this poor thing looks so victimized by the media and and you were the shoulder to cry on all right
14:22then poor thing got so victimized that she jumped into another one immediately then there was what
14:26there was Ashmit Patel right after that Amisha Patel's brother okay and that was a long relationship
14:32lasted a day no how long was it um a day and 364 days which make it I think a year 65 days make
14:41a year oh brilliant when done Malaka lasted a year there was true love there listen my defense I always
14:49get into relationship thinking it's gonna work you know but somewhere along the way I think it's my
14:54way or the highway so that's when I show them the door but then she always asked me you know you
15:00don't get my mother and sister because I'm like I think he's sweet and he's cute and they're like
15:05uh-uh so you didn't approve of Ashmit Malaka no she didn't well he's Amisha Patel's brother
15:13well I think that did it you have a problem with Amisha Patel no there's no problem in a place where
15:21two people really don't think each other exists so there's no problem ah okay and you obviously don't
15:27know Amisha very well I don't know nor do I know Ashmit too well but Ashmit you just thought
15:31well it wasn't Mr. Right I didn't really think he was Mr. Right he's like okay fine Mr. Right now fine
15:36but not Mr. Right yeah and then you poor child right after then you found the the London boy
15:42Upain is he now Upain as in you P-A-I-N pain for you Patel because that also lasted quite a while
15:50see I always intend my relationships to last but somewhere along the way I think
15:55genuinely things don't work out and you know when I think that seemed like you all were quite
16:00going to stay with each other for a while and then I know you're friendly with Arbaaz you and
16:05I see a lot you approved of Upain we thought so I I didn't really approve approve but I thought he's
16:10a nice guy and I said maybe give it a shot and see where this where this goes but but it didn't go
16:15anyway did it like Amrita no it's not me it's just that things don't work out and I I'm the kind of
16:21person who always wants to compromise or you know get stuck in a situation where I'm like okay it's
16:27not working out but you know what do people think if it's genuinely not working out and I feel
16:31um you know I'm not happy so who dumped you it's time to move on well I think both of us dumped each
16:38other Malika I don't know about this but you know about this I got an invitation from Amrita once
16:43for a party she's like Upain throwing this party and then four days later she wasn't at that party
16:49but Upain was and I was like what happened in four days yeah yeah I remember that and um uh and
16:5410,000 other people asked me about it like where the hell was Amrita at that party
16:58and she never did show up yeah because by when I mean things are really not working out and
17:04you know I just and so you ran to London in despair and found another man you know something
17:09she's got a thing for Brit boys she does okay tell us about her her current boyfriend you talk about
17:15it um well actually I I don't know Usman too well I mean again it's all very repeat again Usman
17:22okay he plays cricket for the England team and um I I met him very briefly and that's how Amrita
17:28uh uh met Usman through um through a buzz in me actually so so now it's in that phase where
17:35they're still trying to figure each other out where things are so very rosy and looking up and
17:40looking great to set the record straight let me just quote you know people quote who are like
17:45people quote Shakespeare let me quote Britney Spears yeah she said yeah more yeah more yeah one with me
17:51um like she has said in her words she kissed a lot of frogs to finally know who a prince charming is
17:58and I think with Usman the quote lies completely true okay ah so he's the he's the last frog in the
18:06line is it he's a frog who turned into a prince all right well well done so you're happy today
18:12I'm happy um he just lets me be I think that's where you know I just I needed someone who's just an
18:17extension of me who just lets me be gives me my space is not insecure um who respects my work
18:23basically you know yeah I think is that what you're looking for someone like Arbaz yeah I always
18:28thought Arbaz to be the ideal husband Heidi ideal brother okay and every time you know people would
18:34say what's your ideal man I'd say I want qualities of a man like Arbaz Bhai you know and Usman does have
18:39those qualities he's not a boy I mean even though he's 27 he's a man okay and uh he's someone who just
18:44respects himself he's hard-working he's ambitious and just lets me be okay this now the show we're
18:48talking about comes on air after a while so oh well we hope fingers crossed we'll touch both
18:54fingers crossed and just in case you need to edit something out I'll let you know let me know I'll

20:50uh we're not talking about you at all because we have to talk about we're talking about the two
20:54lovely ladies here how do you perceive Malaika you worked with her you modeled with her you walked
20:58the ramp with her full stop Malaika well since it's a hot show there's one word for her
21:06seemingly hot steaming hot I think she's awesome I think Malaika is very beautiful and
21:12uh thank you thank you so much you've never ever said that all through our modeling days ever
21:17and now he says I'm on TV yeah he's on TV he barely ever spoke to me all through I mean I think he
21:23was very shy I was very shy yeah so probably looking from the wings yes I was always peeping and then
21:29you know every time Malaika stood next to me I'd probably look down and be really shy and stuff like
21:33that you know she had this overpowering you know personality what about Amrita she's looking
21:39beautiful she's looking stunning and that's yes we're doing a film together and I'm most honored
21:44to be acting with her when you have a co-star like her the chemistry just loses so it's nice to to act
21:49with Amrita okay wonderful have I said enough yeah we'll be happy see how easy I get so much here
21:57when I was married Amrita is dating the English cricketer and you are single dating no longer with
22:05anyone as of now no I mean for me it's I honestly that it might sound cliche and stuff like that I'm
22:11really concentrating on my career and my work so honestly to give time to relationships and work is a
22:17bit tough for me right now all right sounds cliche but this is how it is all right and you see me
22:22smiling right liar liar pants on fire why aren't you why aren't you I was like I forgot yeah yeah thank you
22:29oh god it's squeaking away really I mean you know good enough since this show is really all about
22:33relationships sex appeal sensuality what is great is that uh there is a certain aesthetic value attached
22:41to a certain sensuality now on celluloid on Indian celluloid and that you agree Malaika we've done a song
22:46together where you look super hot and it was all very aesthetic absolutely I think every time
22:51Malaika I mean people keep pointing fingers at her about wearing the clothes that she does
22:55yeah but she can give any actress any model any socialite a run for their money I mean no one
23:01could look half as good as she does I did tutor I really did I'm telling you I know girls who go like
23:11oh what is she getting she has a child doesn't a husband tell anything but if they could look half
23:15as good as that after having a child you know I think we would retire them but that's wonderful
23:20and you guys represent the new generation the new wave but is there a line you draw let's start with
23:26Malaika do you draw a line somewhere of course I do well at the end of the day I know there are there
23:31are people who I care about yeah back home and I have got to keep a lot of things in mind of course
23:38so without hurting people's sentiments so I guess I have to keep that in mind and like she said well
23:44yes I am a mother I I am a daughter-in-law to somebody I'm a daughter to somebody a wife to someone so I
23:50have to take all these parameters and you know keeping them into account it's your life yes but I
23:56think I am somebody who is who knows what what's between right and wrong I don't I think I can make
24:04that that differentiation and I don't think anybody can ever point a finger at me saying that you know
24:10well she slipped somewhere so and Amrita do you draw the line and it was like what if you were like you
24:15know in a film asked to kind of go beyond a certain point Karan I do draw certain lines see for starters
24:23I don't think I'm sexy and I don't think I can pull off the whole you know sex appeal and if I'm
24:28comfortable in a pair of shorts I wear it but if I feel on that certain day I'm looking fat or my
24:32cellulite is showing I don't wear it so it's nothing got to do with whether I would draw a certain line
24:37about the clothes I wear or the scenes I'm doing if I'm absolutely convinced about it I'd go ahead and
24:42do it you know um like a lovemaking scene that asked you to show much more than desire you would
24:47probably not go I wouldn't I mean yeah I would probably you know just say no I'm not comfortable
24:52instead of beating around the bush and saying um you would just say because you're a girl of today
24:57you would say no I don't want absolutely yeah absolutely and like she said I mean you know
25:01like I'll never make the mistake of having my mom watch something and go baby you know you're not
25:06doing films like you said you did with girlfriend yeah yes so I would never repeat that again even
25:11though there was no skin show in my in my character just the way it was done can also
25:15you could be fully clad and it could just and look horrible and kissing what about kissing I'm not
25:20kissed on screen but my director's time would force me to kiss him on screen which I'm kind of pondering
25:25over maybe after the show you change your mind do you know you don't have mummy and in-laws to answer
25:33two so where do you draw the line you'll drop your pants you'll do an underwear ad you'll show
25:40yeah I already have done an underwear ad yeah you've done an underwear ad see you've not done your
25:44research yeah it's very bad bad minus minus it became a very big controversy actually it in the ad
25:50it had me biting Bipass was in the ad had me don't pretend like you don't remember it was in the ad
25:55it had me biting her underwear which became this huge uproar among a lot of people and stuff that
26:01and uh well there's a fine line between vulgarity and and something looking aesthetic and if I think
26:08something can be made to look aesthetic and beautiful and conveys a really sweet message where
26:13people watch it and say sweet message message it looks nice okay some people watch it and say wow
26:18is it it looks nice and not vulgar no but if it's a very aesthetic film aesthetically shot like murder
26:24was a an aesthetically shot film I mean did really well yeah of course Madhika Sherawat was uh the woman
26:30in question in that film but as a man would you completely like you know kind of go stalkers for
26:35for an aesthetic lovemaking scene well if that's a good question fully frontal you know no fully
26:43frontal like down now I'd go fully frontal yeah don't stop we don't have five minutes just around
26:49now I'll tell you I'll tell you if if I think it's really required in the script and uh if my director
26:54is going to shoot it really nicely and if he's going to make it look nice aesthetic instead of
27:00making it look vulgar where people are going to say yeah yeah then you know I'd probably agree
27:05to do something like that if it's required in the script I think twice also because knowing
27:10the Indian audience and the sentiments over here I think twice about it though but uh I have no qualms
27:17about you know shedding my clothes
27:20okay now you're morning be quiet yeah shut up I'm just being honest you're being too politically
27:25correct let me tell you that I'll drop my pants okay okay so you paid x amount of money you'll drop

28:51want to meet you I want you know you to help me with my career I'm very beautiful I belong to this
28:56family that family I've just I've saved all these messages you know and I haven't replied I'm just
29:01thinking that this is what they're probably doing to a lot of people you know trying and I just think
29:05it's not fair it's not fair I think it's ridiculous it's a total invasion of privacy yes you can't take
29:11your camera everywhere absolutely you can't set someone up I mean if it happens naturally fine but
29:15you can't set someone up and then make it feel like you know yeah I'm not liking the serious way
29:20and this is going to let's talk about sex again we're back to the hot and happy sex topic
29:25was that like a really famous song at one time let's talk about sex baby oh god I love that song
29:31now we sound like a point of sisters input let's talk about what's what it goes let's talk about all
29:36the good things and the bad things that may be let's talk about sex okay well done and so now if
29:46we're going to talk about good old Catholic genes so if we're going to talk about it then let's
29:54watch it ourselves we did a little bit of a survey about the whole the whole boom the sex boom in the

31:03to sell everyone seems to run away from sex in our country seems to be a taboo subject of some
