02:13You know, before I could get there, I kind of disconnected myself from the industry for a while.
02:20Purposely because the articles that came out about me, everything.
02:25I just felt nothing's working, you know.
02:27And I'm the kind who won't push my luck if things are not going right.

02:34And luckily, I met Adi then and he kind of, you know, was very honest to me

05:46or this film where I'm getting like this huge launch or something.
05:49It was a lot of new people coming together and trying to do something new.
05:52And all we knew is that we're going to put in our best.
05:56And somehow it seemed to work.
05:58So most of us were very overwhelmed with the response
06:00because we really didn't know what's going to come.
06:04Let's just put it at that.
06:05And I was too young.
06:06I was only 21 when I did the film.
06:09So it was quite overwhelming.
06:12I've said the word thrice, but that's how it felt.
06:15So we'll stop saying overwhelming and I'll move on to my next question now.
06:18What I addressed to Esha was also initially there was a perception
06:21that there may be a lack of focus here.
06:23But of course, which is incorrect because Esha is all there today, we know.

08:29So it was something which I suddenly realized that, you know, things are being written more
08:34about my personal life than, say, my work for a certain amount of time.
08:39And it was, it was somewhere uncomfortable, so to say, because I'm a very private person.
08:45But I never felt the need, both me and Kareena never felt the need to hide our relationship.
08:49So we came out about it.
08:50But, but what we realized is that the media never draws a line.

11:02We just decided to just let each other do our own thing for a while, I guess.

16:28my mind because I had always been, uh, you know, this young boy who had just come in

16:35I spoke to people at face value.
16:36But when this one thing happened, it just completely, completely shook me up.
16:40And it made me realize that, okay, something like this can also happen.
16:45But you had the industry support.
16:47I mean, I remember speaking to you and Bebo and of course everybody was calling you.

16:52I mean, most people, a large part of the media, uh, took up for us and reacted to this whole
16:57situation.
16:58Uh, but I guess, uh, somewhere it brought me and Bebo closer, I would say.
17:03You think that's what happened at the end of it?
17:05At the end of it, yeah.
17:07Because, uh, that was the first really traumatic experience that me and her went through together
17:13in our relationship.
17:14And, uh, somewhere we had each other for, uh, support and we looked at each other for
17:20support.
17:20So it did bring us together, but it was definitely a sour experience.
17:23It was something which pained me, my family, and it hurt a lot of people's emotions.
17:27So it's not a very happy.
17:29What was your reaction to this?
17:30Did you see it at all?
17:31I didn't know about it till two, three days later.
