And over the weekend, the President of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Silvani-Button,
00:04
called on the United States government to cease its aggressions against Venezuela
00:08
and respect the Latin American nation's sovereignty.
00:11
Every government must be respected.
00:14
Our appeal to the U.S. is to let there be discussions.
00:20
Let us sit at the table instead of having words,
00:24
instead of trying to remove governments in power,
00:30
instead of moving to each other's country because we are smaller than you
00:35
and you are more equipped than us, and bullying us into submission.
00:41
And so for us in the Caribbean, we are calling on the U.S. to cease that aggression against Venezuela.
00:48
I think the entire Latin America and the Caribbean is singing one voice.
00:54
And we can only hope that the U.S. will listen and will respect Venezuela's sovereignty.
