00:17planetary nebulae have the same orientation as well but why well astronomers and astrophysicists
00:23aren't entirely sure but new evidence may be pointing them in the right direction according
00:27to a recent study the nebulae that are in a matching orientation all have binary stars with
00:32close orbits they now say that the only way to explain the similarities in orientation must have
00:37something to do with powerful magnetic fields the issue is that the magnetism has since weakened
00:41but the researchers say they must have been strong enough at some point to result in such pervasive
00:46similarities with the researchers writing quote until now we have had a lack of evidence for which
00:51of these mechanisms could be causing this process to happen and generating this alignment adding
00:55that now that they know where to look for these patterns they can learn more about the mechanisms
00:59of nebulae orientation
