01:29So for us, winning nationals in Florida was amazing because we had such a tough season.
01:34Congratulations to our national champions, Body Bags and Studio Blue Dance Center.
01:41Until GLOW dropped the bomb on us. I think it's only fair that I let you all know now who will be coming back next season.
01:49I love all of you. And I have the perfect team, so you're all returning.
02:02We were champions. But when we got back from nationals, rumors started swirling around that
02:14Kim, the studio owner, owed money to competitions, owed money to the landlord. The allegations were endless.
02:20We started seeing pictures online of the court documents. The owner owed hundreds of thousands of dollars.
02:26Studio Blue is one of the largest in the country. The only way for this to fail was something nefarious.
02:32Nefarious or nefarious? Something nefarious was going on. And we started hearing that the studio stopped for lease.
02:38And Kim was nowhere to be found. There was like this eviction sign plastered on the door.
02:44Bye, Studio Blue. Studio Blue's reputation was now in the trash. And our kids were the face of Studio Blue. It was humiliating.
02:52It was really hard for me to know that the studio closed because I would go there like every day of the week.
02:58Yeah. It wasn't even just the point of like we lost our studio. We lost all of our friends and they weren't allowed to talk to us.
03:03I remember I had like a best friend. Like she stopped talking to me and like, not to sound like mean,
03:08but I feel like it's because like she wasn't on the team and she wanted to be. I just really hope.
03:12So the summer was hard. We knew we were going to follow GLOW, but to where? We didn't have anywhere to practice.
03:19We were scrambling. We were in Dominica's kitchen. We were in my basement.
03:23With everything being up in the air, Min decided to take Mina to another studio and they quit the team.
03:29How are you guys feeling about Min and Mina not coming back to the team?

03:40Are you gonna make you so sad?
03:42I think it just makes me upset because like she's Mina. Like she was my little sister.
03:50After two months, GLOW finally announces she found an investor and she was taking over the
03:55old Studio Blue space and it was going to be called Project X.
04:03We have to start from the ground and prove ourselves again.
04:06Everyone is watching these girls more than ever because they have gone through a lot.
04:13Winning, losing their home, being in limbo, and now back. Like now I feel like they're coming to get us
04:19even more. So these girls have to show the world that they're back and they're better than ever.
04:32Winning that national title was probably one of the biggest highlights of my career.
04:43I felt so good about this team and where we were headed. All of a sudden, my name is Mud because
04:49the owner's name was Mud. I was in panic mode. I had no income and then Kaylee had to come home to
04:55have surgery on her foot. My first thought was survival. Like how do I make a living? What do I do
05:01to keep going? And you know, I knew I couldn't do it alone. So I brought in the next best thing to me
05:10which is my daughter. I have been dancing on a broken foot for the past 10 years and finally last
05:16summer I couldn't take it anymore and I had to have surgery. The surgery basically forced me to move
05:20back home. Which was good for me and all of us because you were around when Studio Blue closed down
05:27and then you were here to help me open Project X. Yeah, you're welcome. You couldn't have done that
05:31without me. I like save the studio. She's been able to really take on a lot of the training and I trust
05:39her immensely. My mom and I are gonna not always have the same opinion for sure but both of us
05:45together can make this team the best that it can be. Kaylee and I have not lived together full time
05:50since she was 16 years old when she left to go to ballet school in Philadelphia. Becoming a professional
05:55ballerina is exceptionally hard and my daughter is one of those. I dedicated every moment of my life
06:02and every penny I ever made for her to get there. I really hope that Kaylee does go back and pursue a
06:09career in professional ballet but while she's still healing I'm happy to have her here with me.
06:13And with Kaylee's help I intend to make Project X better than Studio Blue ever dreamed of being
06:23but we can't do it alone. Every girl on this team has to live up to their true potential too.

06:37I think Kaylee brings a lot to the table and I think us working together is just going to be
06:46more beneficial. I think I'm gonna be able to keep my mom a little younger.

07:04other's throats. I just, I'm so happy that we got through this all together and that you stayed
07:09with us and that we stayed with you because I don't know where we would be right now if we didn't.

08:25Audrey you got fifth at Nationals. I don't know when you've ever gotten fifth. I'm a little concerned
08:35that you're about to go into high school and with high school we hit this fork in the road and I've
08:40seen so many kids go by the wayside. I don't want that for you. Until I graduate high school I want to
08:46do dance. I want to take that seriously and then maybe after college I can still do dance in like a
08:51company or something. Good. And the second row. Layla Bell. Layla was not Layla last year. Layla
09:01crumbled under the pressure and my job as her coach is to help lift her up and get through those emotions
09:07that she couldn't handle. I saw you working really hard over the break and I am committed to making
09:13you my personal project this season. I want you to be a star. I think they should all be your personal

09:32got closer and became really good friends. I've been working with her a lot over the summer like we were in

09:41good dancer and she just feels like a second mom to me and I'm really glad to have her not just as a
09:45dance teacher but as a person too. Dominica hops for one person that benefits her to the other person.
09:51She knows that her daughter's the weakest on the team so now let me get into Kaylee and then my
09:56daughter's with her 24-7. I mean I would truly hope that that would help Smiley to maybe get a leg up
10:03at a solo. What am I going to say? No. Next on the second row, Bellatrix. You kind of disappeared
10:12a little bit last year but you're here because I think you worked the hardest over the break
10:17and you've improved the most. And on the top of the pyramid, Ashlyn. Ashlyn may have had some ups and
10:28downs but at the end of the day we won that national title because of Ashlyn. After seeing
10:34Ashlyn's performance in Body Bags, a talent management agency reached out and wanted to talk
10:40with her and see if she would be interested in working with them and we were thrilled and honored.
10:45I've gotten like a lot of auditions for movies and stuff like that. Because of her performance.
10:52Dance is an art. Technique is important but it could be about just how you tell the story.
10:59This week we'll be attending Dream Maker National Talent Competition in Secaucus, New Jersey.
11:05We are only doing one solo this week.
11:12This is the very first time anyone will see us competing as Project X. Everyone's rooting for us
11:18to fail. It needs to be incredible or else it's going to be a letdown. You got this, Ashlyn. You got this.
11:25Oh god, are we all crying now? Miss Kaylee and Nicole are not getting along. I didn't become
11:32teacher of the year by just letting kids be sloppy and get away with things. I want to make sure she
11:38knows what to do. When to do it. My reputation is on the line. This team's reputation is on the line

12:10I am not disagreeing that you have improved a lot. That being said
12:14because I don't necessarily agree with the choice, I am going to also have Layla learn the same jazz
12:24solo. It's our first week out as a new studio. I want my best foot forward. I would love nothing more
12:31than Smiley to rise to the occasion. But if you can't do it, I need to have a backup. And I know Layla
12:38could pull out a jazz routine in her sleep. I'm really glad that Miss Glove believed in me. It's
12:42just I thought maybe Kaylee would maybe choose me. But Domenica and Kaylee are really good friends.
12:48And she's really close to Smiley now. The group is called Breath of Life.
12:55We are going to pick up exactly where body bags left off. Ashlyn, you're the lead of the dance. You
13:03will breathe life back into each of these girls. With Mina being gone, that puts us right into the
