00:00Thailand and Cambodia agreed to an immediate ceasefire on Saturday, the two countries said

00:06in a joint statement issued by the Cambodian side pledging to end weeks of deadly border clashes.

00:14The neighbours' long-standing border conflict reenacted this month, shattering an earlier

00:19truce and killing at least 47 people, according to official counts. Around a million people have

00:26also been displaced. The statement said both sides agree to freeze all troop movements and allow

00:33civilians living in border areas to return home as soon as possible, according to AFP.

00:40Signed by the two countries' defence ministers, the statement said both countries also agreed to

00:46cooperate on demining efforts and combating cybercrime. The ceasefire will end battling over

00:53a smattering of ancient temples in disputed zones along the two countries' shared frontier.

01:00It comes after three days of border talks announced following a crisis meeting of foreign
