00:00I saw a few bones in the pay plow out of a mammoth tusk.
00:17Rib bone, I think.
00:20Right?
00:21Rib bone?
00:25I don't know.
00:30Yeah, so things are going really well so far.
00:34You know, we're, like, coming out of the gate moving.
00:38And we're over 2,000 ounces.
00:41But I'm waiting for something to go massively wrong,
00:43because things don't go this smoothly for very long.
00:46Six weeks into the season,
00:4830-year-old Parker Schnabel's plan to mine more than $35 million in gold
00:55is right on schedule.
00:58Tyson is being an animal this year.
01:01He's done over 1,500 ounces already here on Dominion.
01:03And then Mitch is doing a really good job over at Sulphur.
01:07Sulphur had over a 350-ounce cleanup last week, so that's crazy.
01:13Parker's plan includes squeezing every ounce he can
01:17out of his Sulphur Creek claim,
01:19where foreman Mitch Blaschke has been hunting for gold-rich pockets
01:23the old-timers missed.
01:25You know, it's been full throttle since the beginning of the season here in Sulphur,
01:30trying to get all the work done before the water license expires.
01:32Just want to make sure that we get what's ours,
01:34and don't leave anything behind.
01:36Mitch is down to just three weeks to get it all done.
01:42Making the job harder, his top dirt mover, Brennan Rule,
01:47was recently sent to open ground at their next claim.
01:51Right now we're threading a bunch of needles with Brennan trying to have the Indian River ready,
01:55Mitch trying to have Sulphur done before the water license expires.
01:58We need to get the whole project done, reclaimed, and be out.
02:11How's it going?
02:12Good.
02:13How are you?
02:14Doing well.
02:15Yeah.
02:16Nice to be getting to the close of this one.
02:17We can start the next project.
02:18Yeah.
02:19Holy, that's a hole.
02:22Wow.
02:23Very muddy hole.
02:34Nobody's done any panning in here, I'm guessing.
02:36Not on this upper section.
02:38We were trying to get it out as fast as we could, get her to the plant.
02:41Right.
02:42Well, I'll pan some of this just out of curiosity.
02:49All right, well, let's see what we've got.
02:50Holy smokes.
03:16That's a hell of a pan.
03:17Must be a hundred pieces of gold in there.
03:19Wow.
03:20Yeah.
03:21That's pretty wild.
03:23What do you think?
03:26It's worth staying here a little longer and getting that last little bit of pay.
03:30There's gold there and that's what we're here for.
03:32But we've got a lot of sluicing to do already this year.
03:34There's a lot of sluicing to do.
03:35It always turns into a lot bigger project than we think, doesn't it?
03:40I want to stand up there and look at it.
03:50How far does that go?
03:52Straight to this tree right here.
03:53That's probably where I would go to.
03:59You know, it's going to be tight.
04:01Could just have like Brennan come over here.
04:02That's the best chance that you've got at getting the pay down here in time and getting it ran.
04:07That'd be sweet.
04:08All right.
04:09I'll keep you updated.
04:11Over the last six weeks, Mitch has dug out all the pay pockets of the two-acre cut and is sluicing the last of its stockpiled pay.
04:19But Parker believes the old-timer's dredge missed even more gold and thinks the pay streak extends up to the road.
04:29He wants Mitch to expand the cut by another two acres and sluice all of its pay before the water license runs out.
04:38If Parker's move pays off, he could bank another 500 ounces worth $1.75 million.
04:51Just when we thought sulfur here was coming to a close in typical Parker fashion, now he's saying, you know, hey, I want even more dirt out of there.
04:59We're pushing this project all the way to its absolute limit.
05:02So I'm just hoping we can get everything done here in sluice, but it's just messing with our timeline.
05:13Brother!
05:15All right.
05:16The cavalry's here.
05:17We can certainly use the help.
05:18Whoo!
05:21We're here.
05:22Happy to help, man.
05:25To give Mitch a fighting chance, Parker has sent in the big guns.
05:31So we've got five trucks, two excavators, and the loader feeding the plant.
05:37We're on a hot streak right now.
05:38Let's stay with it, finish it off, and get every speck of gold we can get out of here.
05:44You know, everything up here is risk over reward.
05:47And right now, the risk is we got ourselves a lot of dirt to move here, not much time.
05:52But Parker thinks it's worth the reward.
05:54First gold way of the year, you're always hoping for a good one, right?
06:11It can set, you know, kind of set the pace for the rest of the year.
06:14We had the opposite of that.
06:16A hundred miles away, Rick Ness is still trying to recover from a major setback after failing
06:23to obtain the water license needed to mine his gold-rich Duncan Creek claim.
06:30The diamond cut on his new claim at Lightning Creek delivered just seven ounces.
06:36We're always in a race against time, but, you know, we start having gold ways like that,
06:40it just becomes even more and more serious, you know.
06:42There's no way we can make money off of that, but that doesn't mean that we can just, you know, call it quits here.
06:46Rick now finds himself in deep water.
06:50He's had to shut down wash plant Rocky, but has just one week to pay landowner Troy Taylor 100 ounces
06:57to complete his purchase of Lightning Creek.
07:02We've got to move on.
07:03We've got to strip some new ground.
07:04We've already started that.
07:05We've moved up the valley.
07:06We've just got to pivot and pivot quick.
07:09We're late to the game this season, so we had to come into this location.
07:14It's definitely not as good ground as Vegas Valley.
07:17Hopefully we can get gold out of here to at least pay the bills.
07:20Everyone's getting pretty beat down.
07:24When you see low numbers and no gold coming in, it doesn't feel too good.
07:31It's definitely getting a little stressful, being a little behind the gun here.
07:34So we're going to shift over here and change the odds.
07:38Hopefully start running some pay dirt soon.
07:41This is definitely the beginning of working our way up the valley for sure.
07:45You know, we need as much uncovered as we can, but pretty much that's all.
07:49It's just going to be trial and error.
07:52We want to make sure that, you know, this is going to be good pay and not garbage.
07:56Rick's going to come down and figure out what he wants me to do moving forward.
08:05Look at this.
08:08What are you thinking, Bailey?
08:09It's like the bedrock's right there, and then it goes to sand.
08:13Obviously you don't want sand, but...
08:17Interesting.
08:19There's no telling what this bedrock might do.
08:21You're probably just going to have to follow it.
08:23Yes.
08:24Some of that along the banks looks like pay.
08:27Okay.
08:28But there's a spot right there where the bigger rocks...
08:31Look at that big rock right there.
08:34That's what we want to see.
08:35Nice.
08:37Do you want that top, gravelly stuff?
08:40I think so.
08:42Yeah, I would say that's the stuff we run.
08:44Bigger rocks should mean bigger deposits of gold.
08:49Over 150,000 years ago, a giant glacier eroded and picked up gold from the Mount Hinton motherlode.
08:58A massive ice sheet bulldozed down the valley, tearing up the landscape.
09:04When the ice melted, the gold settled in scattered pockets with the heavy rocks and boulders.
09:13I like it.
09:14Get the plant running and just start hauling up the plant, that'd be great.
09:16Yeah.
09:17You can call this the boulder cut.
09:18Cool.
09:19Hopefully it's got gold in it.
09:20Okay.
09:21Thanks, man.
09:22Yep.
09:24Bailey's getting on it right here.
09:25You know, they're doing a good job of getting this stripped off, and there's a lot more bigger boulders and stuff in that ground.
09:29It just looks more promising, so I've got a good feeling about that.
09:35We're all pretty excited to run this stuff.
09:37We'll get this fired up, and we'll start pounding dirt through it.
09:40Well, right now we're hauling pay to the plant.
09:53This pay layer definitely looks, you know, a lot better than the diamond cut.
09:58You know, there is big rocks in here, and I'm hoping it's going to be really good.
10:01Something's going on with the bucket.
10:17I'm just not feeling proper.
10:19It doesn't have any strength trying to curl right now.
10:24Hey, Ryan, you got a copy, man?
10:26Go ahead, Bailey.
10:27Yeah, something's wrong with the 750 for sure.
10:28OK.
10:29All right, man.
10:30Give me just a minute, and I'll be over.
10:31Hopefully, Ryan can get down here and figure out what's going on, because this is our main machine.
10:36That's the only thing that we got down here that can load rock trucks quick enough.
10:39So right now, we're on a standstill.
10:41We got issued with the 750 right now.
10:57I probably got a couple more hours worth of pay here.
11:00If there's no pay at this plant, there's no gold in the box.
11:03So it's pretty crucial to have that thing back up and running.
11:07At Lightning Creek, the Nest Crew 750 excavator has gone down, preventing them from digging pay dirt from the new boulder cut.
11:16I'd zip that plate off. Let's make as much room as we can.
11:20I'll get in there and I'll crack it open.
11:27All right. Where is she at?
11:34All righty. OK.
11:37We've got a pilot hose over here that comes from the back main pump and goes all the way up just underneath the cab that's chafing pretty bad.
11:45The 750 excavator's bucket moves forward when hydraulic fluid is pumped through a hose into a cylinder with a piston at 5,000 pounds per square inch.
11:57The bucket is then forced to retract when the cylinder is injected with hydraulic fluid by a second hose.
12:06Ryan has discovered this hose has a leak in the body of the excavator near the pump.
12:17He plans to disconnect the hose and remove it, then replace it with a new one, restoring the hydraulic system's full pressure,
12:27allowing the bucket to once again haul six yards of boulder pay dirt with each scoop.
12:36Right here?
12:42Yeah. Go ahead.
12:43Oh, yeah. You're good.
12:45Look at this.
12:48Yeah. Right there.
12:50So this will get us going, get us back in the pay and keep things rolling.
12:57All right. I got it all zip tied up.
12:59We're going to get our bottom plates on, get our top plate mounted back, and Bailey will be back at it.
13:04Oh, baby.
13:07All right, bottom side's good.
13:08There you go.
13:09Perfect.
13:10Hey, Bailey, 750's fixed.
13:11Thanks, Ryan.
13:12We got the 750 up and running again, which is awesome.
13:14We got three trucks.
13:15We got to hurry up here and get that pay to the plant.
13:16I really need this to work out.
13:17We all need this to work out.
13:18This is our spot for the summer, and we need to get started getting some gold out of it.
13:21I'm not going to sleep well until we get a whole run out of this ground.
13:47And if it doesn't start showing us gold, well, what good is it?
13:52You know, I'm not full panic mode, but I am definitely got my hand over the panic button.
14:16So far, the season went pretty good.
14:19So happy happy, as they say.
14:21A month and a half into his season, King of the Klondike, Tony Beetz, is cashing in on his early bird cut.
14:29Right now, we let's lose a lot going.
14:32If it runs, don't with it.
14:34Get it going.
14:36He's already banked over 1,800 ounces of his 6,500-ounce target and is now opening the corner cut.
14:49The corner cut is so big that it's going to take us a while to get down the page.
14:55But we should have plenty of time to get it all set up and do some serious losing.
15:01The minute we'll figure it out, voila.
15:04With Mike, when he has his crumball going, well, then we'll just see what we can pull off.
15:1340 miles away on Paradise Hill.
15:17Pretty busy right now.
15:19Here at Mike's shipping department.
15:21Turn my way a bit.
15:23Let's go to the next one.
15:25I'm told to get this organized.
15:26I'm told to get this ready.
15:27I'm told to get this going.
15:29This is all Indian River .
15:30I'm just a delivery boy.
15:32Trouble's not going to happen anytime soon at this rate.
15:36If he wants to see gold, my dad's going to have to leave me alone and let me do it.
15:42At the start of the season.
15:44You gave Kevin a bunch of help getting him going.
15:47So is there anything you're going to help us with?
15:49Tony's youngest son, Mike, made a case for his own claim.
15:54There's some opportunities out there.
15:56Let's get these two places here going first and then we'll talk.
15:59Tony tasked Mike with getting their Paradise Hill operation running.
16:05But two weeks ago.
16:07I don't know what the **** is going on.
16:08Tony stole half of his equipment and crew.
16:11If you don't like it, I guess that sucks to be him.
16:15You try to take all my people and then all my **** and then expect me to still run the hill.
16:21Now, Mike's Paradise Hill trommel still sits idle.
16:26And he has no gold coming in.
16:31Hey, what's going on?
16:36What's the problem?
16:38Right now I'm at equipment.
16:39I can do one project at a time.
16:40I can sluice, I can strip.
16:42I do not have enough to do both.
16:44Which means I ain't going to be able to run the **** trauma here.
16:47You will not.
16:53You know Tony's train of thought, right?
16:56The Indian is the only thing that's producing right now.
16:59So that's what he wants to focus on.
17:04It's a little bit worrisome that he takes your equipment.
17:06Why can't I start taking **** back?
17:08That would go over really well.
17:10You and I both know that.
17:11So that's not going to happen.
17:13So what are you going to do now?
17:15Do you have a plan B?
17:17We have Harold.
17:18A nice plant sitting down in Hester.
17:21It's basically stupid proof.
17:23Just got to fuse some pipe.
17:25Hook it up to the pump, test the pump.
17:27And then I just got to get an excavator and a loader down there and I could be sluicing.
17:30That's great.
17:33How would you feel to just have your own claim?
17:36Just your stuff?
17:38No interference with your father?
17:40Like Kevin?
17:41I would like it.
17:42It would be fun.
17:43You think that's going to happen?
17:45**** no.
17:46He's too busy out there.
17:48Want to have a little wager?
17:5110 bucks I say it will.
17:53We can also say 20 bucks.
17:56You scared?
17:5820 bucks.
18:00With that being said, I do think you have to go back to work.
18:07I'll see you later.
18:11Mike got a little bit of a rough end of the deal here because he doesn't have all the people and all the equipment.
18:17But it's just the way Tony is.
18:20He focuses on what's right in front of him.
18:23Not what's 60 miles down the road.
18:26Mike plans to use what little equipment Tony left behind to make a quick score by sluicing a pile of old-timer tailings that he believes are rich in gold.
18:40But first, he has to connect the water supply to wash plant Harold.
18:45So I'm going to be testing out our new fusing machine here without no water.
18:50You ain't sluicing at all.
18:51If Mike can fit through, the pipe will fit.
18:57Spread your wings and fly Mike.
18:59It works!
19:09Right now, we lift up the pipe so I can line it up.
19:14My way.
19:16Stop!
19:17I just lined them up.
19:18I'm tightening them up now.
19:20I'm waiting for the heating pad to warm up.
19:23Put it in there?
19:24Yeah.
19:25Okay.
19:26That melts the pipe so that when I push it again, it fuses.
19:30Get ready.
19:32There we go.
19:37It's working.
19:38I heard thunder.
19:46Pull the tongue, bring it over here.
19:51Now it's raining pretty good.
19:52Hold it up.
19:53Try to cover it so it doesn't get pissed on rain.
19:56If rain gets into the melted junction, air bubbles will form and the fuse will burst under high water pressure.
20:08If we don't get this fuse together, I ain't getting no water to herald.
20:21Yeah, it's gonna be good.
20:23The rain seems to be stopping.
20:24You guys can take it off.
20:26Before Mike can test if the fuses will hold, he needs to connect the pipe to the pump across the creek.
20:36Lift it up in the air.
20:38Yeah, it's looking good.
20:45Excellent.
20:46That's good, Zach.
20:48Pull it in.
20:52Cut!
20:54Next step is to put the suction in.
20:57Chain this up.
20:58Try not to get hit in the face with a bucket because it's not on my bucket list to do.
21:02The pipes are all hooked up, fused together.
21:17All I have to do is test fire the pump, make sure everything's working good.
21:20Enough water, that's good.
21:23That's lovely, I love it.
21:26I'm firing up.
21:27Everything's working.
21:32Everything's working.
21:33First scoop into herald.
21:34Here we go.
21:35Here we go.
21:37For the first time this season, Mike, it's a good one.
21:39It's a good one.
21:40It's a good one.
21:41It's a good one.
21:42It's a good one.
21:43It's a good one.
21:44I've got a weapon I've fired into.
21:45Yeah.
21:46It's a good one.
21:47I'm firing up.
21:51Everything's working.
21:52We're soooping to herald, here we go.
21:59For the first time this season, Mike is on the gold.
22:09Nice, finally get this thing going.
22:11Got it there.
22:12Man, it was brutal.
22:34There's no way we would have made this happen without the trucks and the extra help up here.
22:39But we are finally down to pay, and we're going to load that in the trucks and haul it down to Roxanne.
22:45At Sulford Creek, Mitch Blaschke has hit pay in the first section of the new two-acre extension.
22:53Now, his crew is in a race to sluice it all before the water license runs out in less than three weeks.
23:02Holy s***.
23:03Loader operator Sean Holcroft is feeding the new pay through wash plant Roxanne.
23:13Parker, he's got some deadlines going, so we really got to bust our balls here and get moving.
23:18I got this little 220 loader.
23:21This thing's a little ancient.
23:22Still able to wash Roxanne with the plant, but she's a bit of a rough ride.
23:26I have my second year down here now.
23:28A big step up for me.
23:29A little bit more responsibilities.
23:31They're letting me do a lot more.
23:32It's pretty awesome to have this opportunity.
23:34I really love it.
23:41I don't know what the s*** is going on with this thing.
23:46Looks like we got the brakes to lock it up.
23:50Let's take half load.
23:53Oh my s***.
23:56S***ing painful, man.
23:57Getting a little hydraulic oil warning here.
24:06Okay, Mitch, it's 220 here.
24:10It's f***ing up real bad.
24:12I just ain't got no power, barely making it up this ramp.
24:15There's no way I'm going to be able to keep up with this, even at 100 yards an hour.
24:18This is not what we need right now.
24:26Unfortunately, with 220 being down right now, we're going to shut Roxanne down.
24:31Shutting down Roxanne could mean losing over $8,000 an hour.
24:37Parker has all these ambitions and things he wants us to do this season,
24:41but we got one old loader out here, and right now we're not sleucing.
24:46To fix the loader, Mitch calls in mechanic Taylor Matejka.
24:53I've got an alarm for low hydraulic oil.
24:56You can see there's nothing on the sight glass.
24:59With the machine running, the transmission oil was way high.
25:04It should be at the bottom of the sight glass here.
25:06We're way over full.
25:08So what caused this is the parking brake.
25:11And it's got a piston inside with seals that release the parking brake.
25:15These seals have failed, and the parking brake is dragging,
25:18and it's filling the transmission with hydraulic oil.
25:24I'm just going to pull the drain plug on the transmission here,
25:27and we'll let her buck.
25:31There it goes.
25:32Hopefully it's just the seals, but if it's a piece of **** got between the piston and the housing,
25:39we might have a **** piston, and that's going to be a huge problem.
25:44The 220 loader's parking brake is spring-loaded and controlled by hydraulic pressure.
25:50To access the brake, Taylor will first cage it by using three bolts that compress the springs,
25:58releasing the brake, and securing the piston to the brake cover.
26:03He will then remove the 16 bolts that hold the cover in place and lift off the caged parking brake piston.
26:11Taylor can then remove and replace the damaged seals before reinstalling the brake,
26:16uncaging the springs, and refilling the hydraulic oil,
26:21allowing the parking brake to function properly.
26:25We're just buzzing the parking brake out here.
26:28We've got it caged with these three bolts.
26:33There we go.
26:34We'll take it out, put it on the back of my truck.
26:36Hopefully this thing is not **** because we can't afford a downloader.
26:39You can see here, there's no real damage to the piston,
26:45but the parking brake seal is completely ****.
26:47We need to replace it.
26:50Sean was right to give me a shout right away.
26:52We'll swap the seals out and put this thing back together.
26:56Let's get started.
26:58We'll peel these seals off.
27:02We're at the assembly stage now, just putting these seals in.
27:05Hey, Taylor, you got a copy, Taylor?
27:08Yeah, go ahead.
27:09How's it going over there, man?
27:11We're putting new seals in the parking brake right now.
27:13Thank God it was just the seals and we had them in stock.
27:15Give us about an hour and a half, two hours,
27:18and this thing will be up and running.
27:19All right, man.
27:20We'll be ready for it.
27:22Mitch is chomping at the bit to get this thing up and running,
27:24and it's just, you know, race against time to get this thing back together.
27:29It's all good.
27:35Fill it with transmission oil, and we can be back to making money.
27:47Transmission's full.
27:49Parking brakes reassembled, resealed.
27:51Everything's hooked up.
27:54Lay down.
27:56Good boy.
28:05We're going to take it down to Sean so they can go fire up Roxanne.
28:16Oh, yeah, buddy.
28:18Thanks, man.
28:19Five hours after shutting down and $40,000 of gold production lost,
28:25Roxanne is back in the game.
28:28Washing rocks.
28:29Roxanne's shaking.
28:31Getting that gold.
28:32We got rocks down on a good clip here.
28:36It's loosening along very nicely.
28:38We're pushing this project here at Sulphur all the way to its absolute limit.
28:42We're getting through it, but we're not out of the woods yet.
28:46We're getting through it, but not in faktors.
29:00D seria.
29:02We're getting through it, so we've got two nights.
29:03We're going to montg day out here tonight.
29:05But, along the way it's very late.
29:06We want to give you a nice time and we can get us out of the arts,
29:08what we want to do with the wood would be our nicest rooms.
29:10That's why we're done with the ghosting package.
29:12So let's get rid of today.
29:13We want to make our challenge in the wild.
29:14mining vegas valley it's different it's up for us to prove that there is something here it's
29:19going to be non-stop it's not going to be uh it's not going to be an easy season i think this will
29:24be our toughest season with rick rick's crew is sluicing pay dirt from the new boulder cut
29:30which they hope will finally deliver some gold we're going to probably work our way up this
29:37valley probably all season hopefully uh you know the farther we go or the more that we run the
29:42better it looks guys i need you all to come meet me at the lead on here i want all of you there
30:12what's going on i got some news
30:17what's going on i got some news
30:39we got a water license on lower duncan really yes
30:45yeah yeah that's actually really good news got something for you guys
30:51nice
30:57we got the news today from the attorney they granted an extension until november 2025 we can go
31:12break ground vegas valley start draining it we can get gold from vegas valley this year
31:15was that a verified email the verified email yes yes yes yeah you 100 have a water license a land use
31:23permit and everything at lower duncan in just four years rick's claim on lower duncan paid out nearly
31:30six thousand ounces but after losing the water license he had to abandon it including a pay pile
31:38that could contain more than 1.4 million dollars in gold we already got a pile up there ready to run
31:45and you know we can actually run that now so what does that mean for this deal
31:50well that's a good point because we can't just walk away from this i promised troy another 100
31:56ounces to buy lightning creek i'm not just going to pull 100 ounce out of here and give it to troy
32:00and walk the way you know we've got to pull some serious gold out of here but this is really good
32:05news i don't even think you've seen the best out of vegas valley yet no and i'm hoping we haven't
32:10seen the best out of this yeah you know i think our future is really bright i've got a lot to figure
32:14out but we've got a water license and we are going back to vegas valley this is cause for celebration
32:19you know in my head right now i'm very happy there's a lot going on right now it's like one
32:31extreme to the other right we had no water license now we've got a water license in two spots you know
32:35i want to just run to vegas valley i know the gold's there but i've got obligations on lightning creek you
32:39know i owe troy 100 ounces you know that's that's a quarter million dollars so there's a lot to figure
32:43out but at the end of the day this is good news
32:45that's nice to be finally solution it's been a long time coming at paradise hill despite a lack
33:09of equipment mike is determined to prove to his dad that he can bring in the gold just careful
33:17not to overload it it's nice to get this going it's exactly what i wanted closer and closer every
33:24time
33:27uh we got a gasket blown out on this pump shut it down
33:31and i can check the rubber
33:45and i can check the rubber
33:58if you hop in the excavator i'll wrap it around we'll just lift it
34:16yeah because these are coming off like butter
34:17my gasket's ripped completely yeah she ripped right apart my only two rubbers i got too small or
34:30weave it too big
34:35you can make that work though you know what i mean cut holes we're gonna have to around with this
34:41what we're gonna do is mark out all the holes and then we'll just push the bolt holes through
34:57then i'm gonna cut and yeah that bolt will fit through it
35:03yeah there should be 12.
35:04it's a little scabby but it'll work for the bush fix gasket to work it must form a tight seal between
35:15the two metal flanges a little bit more my weight there we go if we do this and it works it should last
35:22until forever
35:29yeah that's my butt
35:33let her down
35:40that's tight they should all work
35:52that's tight
36:04now colby hop on the wall let's get going
36:08finally uh getting this done
36:10my dad will be happy to get any gold so i'm gonna grab every ounce of gold i can out that dirt
36:15between me and colby we should be able to get this thing going
36:18and this will be running for the rest of the season
36:30mike beats may be dreaming of his own klondike kingdom but there is already a crown he wears proud
36:37according to everyone i'm the king of around so there should be nothing new
36:42go chase the beaver
36:48you make me
36:53so you i leave you guys
36:54you guys alone for what two minutes and then you're around again let's go
37:06oh
37:18oh yeah
37:19nice glasses thanks man how are you no fire no it's too hot for that it's hot summer finally
37:27got here yeah it came fast it was a smart move to pivot from a diamond cut there's no way we can
37:32make a living off it and uh you know i like the spot that we moved to um it's definitely looking
37:37better um in every way there's boulders there yeah it is nicer material compared to that stuff that we
37:43just dug out at the start of the diamond cut so we're on the right track yeah well i guess maybe we
37:48should uh weigh up the gold rick's previous spot the diamond cut produced just 7.35 ounces
37:57now he's hoping the new boulder cut will deliver at least 30 ounces for its run time
38:03all right count it out
38:09one two five seven eight nine ten twelve eighteen twenty twenty two
38:21twenty two point three five
38:24worth seventy eight thousand dollars
38:28definitely to prove it we gotta look at it that way three times better yeah
38:34i mean i obviously what that water license coming in is huge um but a lot of decisions come with
38:39that you know there's a lot of pieces that have to fall in you know fall into place what's going
38:44through your head tough it out here i mean we're gonna have to go back to vegas valley i mean
38:50i want to and maybe at the end of the day this is just not the happening spot right here
38:57we can't abandon this place i did buy it but the one thing that i can say is that we can't afford to
39:03just shut this down while we're you know we got to take advantage of all the sluicing hours we can
39:07get how many gold ways do we say there can be improvement before we finally say we need to get
39:11our asses back to vegas valley at the end of the day i owe troy you know 100 ounces on this ground so
39:17we can't just walk away from it right now it's the only spot we're getting gold from does he care where
39:20the 100 ounces comes from because i'm telling you now you're going to get 100 ounces a lot quicker
39:25you do the math it doesn't make sense to hit 1800 ounces by the end of the season you know it's going to take a
39:29while to get vegas valley ready so the minute we're able to sluice down there we will go there
39:33that's a promise i think i think we should go there now well that's too bad i think there's gold here
39:42i hope you're right definitely the pressure's going to be on man
39:49thanks guys i appreciate it yeah this gold way was better than last week but it's not as good as what
39:54lower duncan could be there could be 400 ounces in that pay pile so you know for us to try to
40:00reach 800 ounces uh we need to be down there right away well the gold total for the week 22.3 ounces
40:05yeah three times is good but the exciting thing is we got the water license extension back on duncan
40:09creek so we go back to vegas valley which is huge news now you know everybody's just arguing on when
40:15they want to go there immediately but the timing's just not right you know it's going to take a few
40:18days to get that ready and i'm not willing to stop getting gold from lightning creek until until it is ready so
40:22we're going to stick it out here and we'll be back in vegas valley soon
40:35hello hey guys hey guys how are you here how are you good yes good good have a seat
40:46i've been here pretty much all week sluicing away in the early bird cut there doing very well actually i
40:52think busy stripping the corner cut so we've been going actually quite well how about you guys yeah
40:59i said apparel yeah we uh did some old time entailings didn't we might as well sluice it's sitting there
41:05oh really perfect anything you get is bonus i mean if the price is off the day rather than
41:11throwing it away that don't make no sense did it show anything well there's a little bit
41:16a little bit better counted quick i guess huh i'll pour slow there were one two three four
41:25and a five and six and a seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fourteen point two eight
41:37worth nearly fifty thousand dollars it all adds up it all adds up
41:42well i'm proud of you that is a good little venture so you want to see what comes from the indian
41:49okay what do we got so far the early bird cut is averaging 270 ounces a week michael ready to count
41:5710 30 40 50 100 110 120 170 190
42:11200 210 250 260 270 280 290 310 320 330 340 350 390
42:21making the four no no it's 398.18
42:27worth almost 1.4 million dollars but i mean you didn't make four oh my
42:34bringing the beat's season total to over 2300 ounces so that's not bad you said at the beginning
42:41of the season that there were some maybe some opportunities for mike as soon as you started
42:45getting gold out of the hill so what's happening with that no no no no you got to get the thrummel
42:52growing that's where the real gold is going to come from that's all let's do it just go bring me some
42:58more
43:01okay see you later guys yep bye
43:05i do hope tony will honor what he said to mike because he's been working very hard to get this
43:10all sorted out so we should get them set up honestly mike really deserves it
43:16the frustrating part is i think i have a better chance of learning to breathe through my ass than i
43:21have them going on my own or whatever
43:24what's up yo yo well how'd we do this week chris roxanne's just chugging away
43:39man that was an unreal pan down there at sulfur the pan was probably one of the best ones we've ever
43:43seen it's up there top 10. i hate saying anything i don't want to jinx anything you know yeah i'm
43:50pretty good at that how's your juggling act going you know it's keeping me busy that's for sure
43:59we're gonna start out with you with bob how's that sure let's see how bob did this week big bob
44:05at dominion creek tyson's been running wash plant bob in the bridge cut where it's averaging 170
44:13ounces a week here we go we got 20 40 60 80 100 120 160 180 188.4
44:31nice not bad that's a good weight so bob's chugging along brendan you want to do this lucifer
44:37here go for it all right slucifer in the golden mile is pacing 200 ounces a week 20 40 60 80 100 120 150
44:52180 200
44:56holy 232.1
45:00wow holy yeah nice that's pretty cool isn't it beautiful that's a good week for dominion 420
45:09ounces or something that's a good number
45:16and then there's roxanne mitchell whoo she looks heavy see what we got here all right rip
45:23ready yep now it's time to find out if parker's move to extend the cut at sulfur will pay out 50 100
45:37150 200 oh yeah keep going
45:44250 a little bit more
45:46300 300 right on the dot plus this we have another one it looks like it's got a load in there
45:59ready all right we're gonna keep adding to her there's another 40 80 100
46:11106.5
46:16406.5 ounces okay yeah yeah yeah yeah that's a boy mitch go ahead go ahead and take everything up
46:26there with just one plant mitch has nearly matched tyson's two plant run
46:35two that's a lot for one week yeah so this week our total is 827 ounces
46:44sick is that crazy or what i was not expecting that 827 ounces at record prices is worth 2.89
46:56million dollars the most cash parker's ever banked in one week that parker's happy face
47:05there we go 800 000 dude you got to be happy about that in a week yeah yeah i just hope we can keep it
47:15up but there's still so much season left good way to start it that's a good way to start it thank you
47:20guys cool i'll bag this stuff up we've all got to do
47:26after several years of just moving from the indian river and getting set up and a lot deeper ground
47:31down on dominion it's taken a long time of like stripping and
