00:00It's usually a labour of love, but this is one of rivalry, stretching 27 years, ever since
00:15Jenny Baker proclaimed she made the best lasagna on Lily Street.
00:19I won that year, and there was great rumour up and down the street that I'd done favours
00:26for the judges, or the judge, but I hadn't, you know, there was no money involved.
00:31The competition was put on pause after Jenny's husband, Paul, passed away in 2023, but this
00:37year marked its return.
00:39He lived for lasagna day, and he was the ringmaster of the whole day.
00:45He never left a set of instructions about, you know, how far each bin needs to be from
00:50the other, but we've just, you know, winged it a bit, and I think he'd be proud of what
00:55we've done.
