00:00Is it necessary to renounce worldly pleasures in order to gain spiritual experience?
00:04No, but where are the pleasures? I do not see any pleasures.
00:09I do not see anybody being pleased.
00:11Go to a weekend party and show me who is happy.
00:15And if people were indeed happy, why would they drink?
00:21They drink so that they can forget their miserable state.
00:25Who is being pleased in all this? Please tell me.
00:30Nobody is happy here. Please.
00:34Just scratch the surface and you will find.
00:39So please drop the illusion that people are indeed happy.
00:48This thing about being indeed happy, truly happy is called joy.
00:54We don't have it.
00:55And that's why we run after flimsy pleasures.
01:00Spirituality wants you to have true pleasure.
01:06To be spiritual is to go hunting madly, wildly for real pleasure.
01:14And to differentiate the real thing from the fake one,
01:21A very different name is given.
01:25Anand.
01:26Not prasannata.
01:28Not khushi.
01:30Not suk.
01:33Anand.
01:35That's real.
01:37And that's not dependent on an intoxicant.
01:40Unconditional, continuous, uncaused pleasure.
01:43That's joy.
01:44That's joy.
