00:00:00Do you remember me I sat upon your knee?
00:00:16I wrote to you with childhood fantasy
00:00:21No more lives torn apart
00:00:31That wars would never stop
00:00:35And time would heal our hearts
00:00:41Every man would have a friend
00:00:47That riot would always win
00:00:51And love would never end
00:00:58This is my girl
00:01:03Peace, peace, peace
00:01:06Shining out the holly
00:01:15But up the tree before my spirit falls again
00:01:19We'll look at the star blue
00:01:22I may be rushing things
00:01:24But at the halls again now

00:02:40Need a little laughter
00:02:42Need a little singing

00:06:05First, on to the floor
00:06:07With the Charleston
00:06:08It's comedian
00:06:09Babatunde Aleshe
00:06:10And his partner Nancy

00:06:21Hi, people
00:06:24My name is Babatunde Aleshe
00:06:26And I'm best known
00:06:27For being a stand-up comedian
00:06:29I was like
00:06:30I just get to make people laugh all day
00:06:34That's just the best job ever
00:06:36What I like about dancing
00:06:39Is watching other people do it
00:06:41I'm not supposed to be doing something like this
00:06:45I don't dance
00:06:45I mean, I'm looking forward to, like
00:06:48Challenging myself
00:06:49And seeing what I could do
00:06:51But there's no turning back from this
00:06:53I can't act hard anymore
00:06:55Like
00:06:55The man am I going to be like
00:06:56Nah, bruh, you're a ballroom dancer

00:07:06Learning the Charleston
00:07:07I'm finding it
00:07:08Very, very hard
00:07:10Okay
00:07:12Yeah, they say less is more
00:07:15But not with the Charleston
00:07:16Yeah
00:07:16More is more
00:07:18More, more, more, more
00:07:19You can do better
00:07:20How Nancy is teaching me
00:07:23Is by chasing me around the room
00:07:25Telling me to do it again
00:07:27I love you
00:07:29Do it again
00:07:29When it comes to the show
00:07:32I'm going to be a bag of nerves

00:07:36Bit by bit
00:07:37In my dance
00:07:41I am the naughty elf
00:07:42I'm trying to convince Nancy
00:07:43To be naughty
00:07:44But I think she needs some practice
00:07:46So we are at a group rehearsal
00:07:49I've given Nancy an air piece
00:07:51And I'm going to make her
00:07:52Mess with some of the dancing
00:07:53This is going to be so much fun
00:07:55Okay, Nancy

00:15:12Our next couple is former All Saints star Melanie Blatt and her partner Kai
00:15:17Tonight they're dancing to the song Santa Baby and just like Santa Mel's hoping to deliver the perfect gift for Christmas Day a sophisticated Strictly performance
00:15:26So I'm Mel and I'm going to be attempting to dance
00:15:33I used to be in a band in the 90s called All Saints it was amazing being with my best mate travelling the world but the dancing was a lot of plodding around there was a lot of shoulder bopping back in those days I don't think there's going to be any comparison to dancing on Strictly
00:15:36años
00:15:51I've always been nervous when I sang so this is going to be like times a million
00:15:57
00:15:59I am at the point of my life where I know that I need to challenge myself so I mean you know it's a once in a lifetime experience
00:16:05I'm just going to give it my best.
00:16:11We are going to be dancing theatre jazz.
00:16:14It's sort of Fred and Ginger-esque.
00:16:16A lot of, sort of, posing.
00:16:19I'm actually really enjoying it.
00:16:21And that's probably got something to do with Kai as well.
00:16:23I mean, he's so lovely.
00:16:24I'm holding on to you for doing all that.
00:16:26That's okay, that's normal.
00:16:27I wouldn't say I'm in my natural element here,
00:16:29because I've got scoliosis and I've got metal rods in my spine,
00:16:32and that makes me quite stiff.
00:16:34Yeah, and let's give it to Gene Kelly.
00:16:36So if my life on Shuggy wasn't hard enough,
00:16:38Kai decided to bring umbrellas into this relationship.
00:16:41Whoa!
00:16:42It's just like, to me, a spiky weapon.
00:16:47I don't like doing anything half-hearted.
00:16:50Whether I can put it off, I don't know, but I'm going to give it a good go.
00:16:56So we've been so busy rehearsing,
00:16:58and Kai's been so amazing teaching me this dance,
00:17:00I thought I'd take him to the fairground
00:17:01and let him have some fun on some rides.
00:17:04What a lovely idea Mel had to bring me to the winter fair.
00:17:09It's not really Mel's cup of tea.
00:17:11I love it.
00:17:12Whoo!
00:17:13I've never seen a fully grown human man enjoy fairground rides as much as Kai.
00:17:19It's bringing me joy watching him.
00:17:22I love it so much.
00:17:25Oh, my gosh!
00:17:28Whoo!
00:17:29Whoo!
00:17:31Whoo!
00:17:32Whoo!
00:17:33We're trying to get Mel on the roller coasters all day,
00:17:35but she's finally agreed to one,
00:17:37and I've heard it's really scary.
00:17:38Are you ready?
00:17:39Yes.
00:17:40Come on, let's go!
00:17:41It's been an amazing night.
00:17:42We've had so much fun,
00:17:43and now I'm just ready to get on that dance floor and dance.
00:17:44Dancing Theatre Jazz.
00:17:45Melanie Blatt and her partner Kai Windrington.
00:17:47CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:17:49CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:17:51It's been an amazing night.
00:17:52We've had so much fun,
00:17:53and now I'm just ready to get on that dance floor and dance.
00:17:56CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:18:02Dancing Theatre Jazz.

00:21:07And all that
00:21:08Giving it all

00:22:57Having to look like custard
00:22:59You know, all of these things

00:24:17I don't know if they've been drinking
00:24:19Tess
00:24:20Our next couple is Westlife star Brian McFadden and his partner Michelle
00:24:24And they are going to be dancing a jive
00:24:27Oh, Tess
00:24:28Now, now, before you carry on, I just
00:24:30You know there's, there isn't an Argentine tango in the show tonight
00:24:34But, and we all know it's your favourite dance
00:24:36So, the four of us, we've had a whip round and we decided to get you one for Christmas
00:24:41Aw, thank you
00:24:43What's your name?
00:24:44How many players are going on?
00:24:45Best present ever!
00:24:46Best present ever!
00:24:48Merry Christmas!
00:24:4912!
00:24:51Oh my god!
00:25:04How many players are going on?
00:25:06A little bit too much stuffing with the turkey.
00:25:14Hello, I'm Brian McFadden.
00:25:15You probably know me best for being in Westlife.
00:25:18Being in Westlife was one of the best experiences of my life,
00:25:21getting to travel around the world, being a pop star,
00:25:24which is something I never thought I was going to be as a kid.
00:25:27My house was always full of dancing.
00:25:29It was a huge part of growing up in Ireland.
00:25:31I wasn't very good at it, but I absolutely loved doing it.
00:25:34You know, Strictly, it's an institution.
00:25:37It's part of British history.
00:25:38But the main reason I'm doing this is for my daughter, Ruby.
00:25:40She's absolutely obsessed with Strictly.
00:25:42I can't wait to see her little face when she sees me on Christmas Day.
00:25:50The jive is very, very difficult.
00:25:52It's not an easy dance.
00:25:53Point this out.
00:25:54You know, it's fast.
00:25:55You need really good stamina for it.
00:25:57It's hard.
00:25:59You see, there's this preconceived idea that being in a boy band
00:26:02means you're a great dancer.
00:26:03But my Westlife days, our biggest dance move
00:26:05was getting off the stool for the key change.
00:26:10So today was a little bit of a break from the norm.
00:26:13And we had my wife, Danielle, and my daughter, Ruby,
00:26:15come down and join us.
00:26:16Hello.
00:26:19Do you want to watch us do our dance?
00:26:21Christmas, I don't want to miss out on the holidays.
00:26:25My daddy's the best dancer in the world.
00:26:28Dad!
00:26:30I think my daddy's going to win Strictly.
00:26:35I heard that there's a great choir on in Somerset House
00:26:41singing Christmas carols,
00:26:42so I'm bringing Michelle to see what I do every day.
00:26:45Can't wait.
00:26:45It is Merry Christmas.
00:26:48Everybody's having fun.
00:26:52What a little treat for Christmas.
00:26:53To be able to hear all those voices around you.
00:26:55It is really magical.
00:26:56It's the best thing in the world.
00:26:57Now that we have you here,
00:27:02there actually is a particular number we sing.
00:27:04Oh, really?
00:27:05About flying.
00:27:06I'll fly without wigs.
00:27:07You know it, you know it.
00:27:09I wasn't really prepared for that,
00:27:11but I've been singing that song for 27 years now,
00:27:13so it's in there.
00:27:14Everybody's looking for that something
00:27:17One thing that makes it all complete
00:27:23When Brian was singing, it did feel quite emotional.
00:27:26It's a beautiful song.
00:27:31To be able to sing with a big choir like that,
00:27:34that was a pretty special moment.
00:27:38Now, it feels like the night before Christmas.
00:27:41Everything's ready to go,
00:27:42and now, focus on the dance.
00:27:53Once he's in the job,
00:27:54Brian McFadden
00:27:56and his partner, Michelle Chappis.
00:27:58APPLAUSE
00:27:59I'm already, you know you're a man in the life.
00:28:12Run, run, brutal,
00:28:13Brenda's not to come behind.
00:28:18Run, run, brutal,
00:28:19Santa's got to be in the town.
00:28:24Brenda, be here,
00:28:25garden, we've been here
00:28:26We're형,اب
00:28:27We're well-being.
00:28:43I don't want the Christmas is a rock for me, let's take me party
00:28:49It's a win-win run, women like a shooting sky
00:28:55Oh my goodness, but they've got a baby to tell them
00:29:01Give me a baby, call me, tell me, make me feel really bad
00:29:07It's a win-win run, women like a rock
00:29:14Oh yeah, oh yeah
00:29:22Yeah, oh yeah
00:29:26Part, part, part, part
00:29:28Part, part, part
00:29:31Oh, oh yeah
00:29:37Yeah
00:29:43CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:29:55Are you OK, Brian? Are you OK there, my love?
00:29:58I mean...
00:30:00Not many people could manage that after a Christmas dinner guy drive.
00:30:04Way too much turkey.
00:30:06You can have a lie down in a minute.
00:30:08Oh, a minute.
00:30:09Not just yet. Let's go to the judges, find out what they thought first.
00:30:12You've got a pretty good view there, Abton.
00:30:15Oh, yeah, I had...
00:30:17I had too close...
00:30:19You were thrilled with that bit there, weren't you?
00:30:21Enjoying this film?
00:30:23He gets an extra point.
00:30:26It did make me think,
00:30:28I must go over and crack some walnuts.
00:30:30I know how to do it now.
00:30:32What a clinching going on.
00:30:35I thought this was...
00:30:37This was great.
00:30:39I loved it.
00:30:42Absolutely magical.
00:30:43I mean, a rock and roll number from a rock and roll star.
00:30:47You were magnificent.
00:30:49I thought that was terrific.
00:30:51Oh, thank you.
00:30:52That's what we like to hear.
00:30:55It did lack a little bit of precision.
00:30:58Oh, it's Christmas.
00:31:03That's the only negative.
00:31:05The energy was absolutely fantastic.
00:31:08You even had retraction in your kicks.
00:31:12I loved that.
00:31:13It was full of fantastic content.
00:31:15You styled it out.
00:31:17I didn't know what was happening here when you were climbing up.
00:31:20That next to us.
00:31:21That next to us.
00:31:22That next to us.
00:31:23But, you know, I enjoyed that little bit.
00:31:25That little...
00:31:26Our personal moment together there, darling.
00:31:28It was rather nice.
00:31:30It was just you, Craig.
00:31:31I think it was great.
00:31:32It was fantastic.
00:31:33Really good.
00:31:35Oh, my God.
00:31:36Oh, my God.
00:31:37Oh, my God.
00:31:38Oh, my God.
00:31:39Rock and roll Rudolph.
00:31:40You rocked the dance floor, honestly.
00:31:42You left no Christmas crumbs to eat.
00:31:45Great choreography.
00:31:46Michelle.
00:31:47Really well done.
00:31:48Well done, Michelle.
00:31:49Honestly.
00:31:50Really well.
00:31:51Very musical.
00:31:52Very musical.
00:31:53Lots of fun.
00:31:55Shirley.
00:31:56I think after a few tipples of sherry,
00:31:58that would be the kind of number that my mother and I
00:32:00would like in our kitchen.
00:32:01Both of you rocking it.
00:32:03I'm telling you.
00:32:04Kicks, flicks, highlights.
00:32:06Just a superstar.
00:32:07Michelle, your choreography was absolutely out of this world.
00:32:10Thank you so much.
00:32:11You kept in sync.
00:32:12You kept in time.
00:32:14It was everything that you would expect
00:32:16and more at Christmas.
00:32:19Thank you so much.
00:32:20You're just brilliant comments.
00:32:21Brilliant, yeah.

00:32:23Super happy with that.
00:32:24I'm not going to lie.
00:32:25I'm so glad that's over now.
00:32:26It's done.
00:32:27You can go upstairs and celebrate now.
00:32:28Back to singing now for a while.
00:32:29With Claude.
00:32:30Thank you, Brian.
00:32:32Michelle, everyone.
00:32:33Thank you very much for saying.
00:32:34Bye, Huston.

00:32:41I know, it's a lot, right?
00:32:42I'm not going to lie.
00:32:43I couldn't hear anything they said.
00:32:44My ears were going.
00:32:45I was just nodding.
00:32:46You did fantastically well.
00:32:47It is a very fast dance.
00:32:48You chose to do it in pleather respect.
00:32:49I know.
00:32:50Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
00:32:51You must be boiling in that.
00:32:52It's very, very hot.
00:32:53I have to say, her choreography was amazing.
00:32:54Yeah.
00:32:55I really designed this choreography based on Brian.
00:32:56I told him when he was on the judges table, I was like, you just do you.
00:33:00Show me what you've got.
00:33:01I might have got carried away with that bit though.
00:33:02He started tapping.
00:33:03Yeah, so it was really for you.
00:33:04You're a cool guy and that was a cool choreo.
00:33:05Yes, I was just going to lie.
00:33:06I was just going to lie.
00:33:07I was just nodding.
00:33:08I was just nodding.
00:33:09You did fantastically well.
00:33:10It is a very fast dance.
00:33:11You chose to do it in pleather respect.

00:33:16She was so good.
00:33:17I really designed this choreography based on Brian.
00:33:18I told him when he was on the judges table,
00:33:25Well, we also have to mention your four-year-old Ruby
00:33:28because I know she's watching and she loves Strictly.
00:33:31Merry Christmas, Ruby.
00:33:32And my other girls, Maldi and Lily, they're all watching.
00:33:34Yay!
00:33:35OK, good luck.

00:34:01Brilliant.
00:34:02Oh, yeah.
00:34:03It's so happy.
00:34:04Just a reminder that it's the audience vote combined with the judges' scores
00:34:08that will decide who will be crowned Strictly Christmas Champions
00:34:1220-25.
00:34:14They are over the moon.
00:34:15I can't believe we've got ten.
00:34:16Our next Christmas celebrity is Jodie Ownsley and her partner,
00:34:20Neil.
00:34:21And as a gladiator, Jodie's used to going head-to-head
00:34:23against some extreme physical challenges.
00:34:25But how will she fare tonight as she enters the Strictly Arena
00:34:28for a street commercial showdown?
00:34:35Merry Christmas.
00:34:36I'm Jodie Ownsley, but you might know me best as Fury on Gladiators.
00:34:41It's the almighty Fury!
00:34:44I'm in love with the sheep of you.
00:34:46I've been in sport my whole life.
00:34:48It started with World Cup carrying championships.
00:34:50I then became British champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
00:34:53And then I represented England in rugby, which was amazing.
00:34:58So, I was born profoundly deaf, but when I was 14 months old,
00:35:01I had a cochlear implant fitted.
00:35:03Music, I can't hear it, but we'll get round it.
00:35:07My dancing experience, non-existent, but I'm always up for a challenge
00:35:11and I'm just going to give him my absolute all.
00:35:14What's the worst that can happen?
00:35:20Between dancing and Gladiators, dancing is harder, I'm telling you.
00:35:27When I came into it, I was thinking,
00:35:29oh, gosh, I'm going to have to be all elegant,
00:35:31but the dance is so me.
00:35:33That's it, yeah.
00:35:34We're going to be dancing street commercial.
00:35:36It's power, it's agility, it's fun,
00:35:39but also with a bit of sass as well.
00:35:44I think normally you see the guys doing all the lifts,
00:35:46but I, Mia, clip Neil over my back,
00:35:48and I think that is so refreshing.
00:35:50Hopefully, he'll survive to the end.
00:35:56Neil's brought me back on the rugby field
00:35:58to attend the world record of pulling the most crackers in a minute.
00:36:02Jodie's got two Guinness World Records,
00:36:05so I thought team up together
00:36:07and I might have a chance of winning my very own.
00:36:10Jodie, Neil, the minimum to beat is 63.
00:36:13Are you ready?
00:36:14Yes.
00:36:15Let's crack on.
00:36:18Sorry.
00:36:19In three, two, one, go!
00:36:25The adrenaline, because we were both shaking.
00:36:27We were shaking.
00:36:28I was trembling.
00:36:29Go, go, go.
00:36:32Three, two, one, stop!
00:36:35Jodie, Neil, the minimum to beat was 63.
00:36:37You achieved 72.
00:36:41Congratulations!
00:36:42We're officially amazing!
00:36:43I have a special guest with something for you.
00:36:54Congratulations, Santa!
00:36:56We absolutely smashed it, got the world record.
00:36:58Hopefully now we can do the same with a dance and, you know, win that glitter ball.
00:37:13Bring it on.
00:37:14Let's go.
00:37:15Let's go.
00:37:17Let's go.
00:37:18Let's go.
00:37:19Let's go.
00:37:20Let's go.
00:37:21Let's go.
00:37:22Let's go.
00:37:23Let's go.
00:37:24Let's go.
00:37:25Let's go.
00:37:26Let's go.
00:37:27Let's go.
00:37:28Let's go.
00:37:29Let's go.
00:37:30Let's go.
00:37:31Let's go.
00:37:32Let's go.
00:37:33Let's go.
00:37:34Let's go.
00:37:35Let's go.
00:37:36Let's go.
00:37:37Let's go.
00:37:38Let's go.
00:37:39Hallelujah.
00:37:40Let's go.
00:37:41Let's go.
00:37:43Let's go.
00:37:44Let's go.
00:37:45Now, let's go.
00:37:46Let's go.
00:37:51You ready?
00:37:53Can't I feel like December?
00:37:55Here's a little more cinnamon.
00:37:56Right to call it to remember, and I should hope if I'm reading it.
00:38:02Can't I feel like December?
00:38:03Like December, here's a little more cinnamon
00:38:06It's so cold, sweet, and there's no place right
00:38:09Got you feeling blue on a sliding line
00:38:12Don't know about you, but let me say
00:38:15Christmas season, a little more red
00:38:18Make the lights be for time when I walk in
00:38:20Got the fire in my eyes that I'm talking
00:38:23Now it'll be, making it clear
00:38:25It's gonna be a red, red, red Christmas season
00:38:29It's not so much silver and crimson
00:38:31Everything this season's been missed
00:38:33Now it'll be, making it clear
00:38:36It's gonna be a red, red, red Christmas season
00:38:40Hey Santa, you know what's up
00:38:43Rocking the suit and the sleigh
00:38:45But can't you say that it's just
00:38:48The Christmas season's a little more red
00:38:51Make the lights be for time when I walk in
00:38:53Everything this season's been missed
00:38:55Now it'll be, making it clear
00:38:58It's gonna be a red, red, red Christmas season
00:39:02Smash that, well done
00:39:16I know this is a special performance for you
00:39:26You absolutely nailed that.
00:39:29I think we found another gladiator who can dance, Moxie.
00:39:32Oh, my goodness.
00:39:35Yes, for sure.
00:39:36You slayed, Christmas queen.
00:39:38You did.
00:39:39That was really.
00:39:40I enjoyed that so, so much.
00:39:42There was a pump.
00:39:43There was a vibe.
00:39:44You were strong.
00:39:45You were sharp.
00:39:47And I understood the storytelling was a lot of fun.
00:39:50So lovely.
00:39:51So lovely.
00:39:53Well, definitely the boss lady.
00:39:56I mean, when you kind of threw him over to the floor.
00:39:58She was in charge.
00:39:59It was like a fight scene with the family on Christmas Day
00:40:02after too much wine.
00:40:03Do you know what I mean?
00:40:04It was absolutely terrific.
00:40:06You are a star, young lady.
00:40:08Yeah.
00:40:10All right.
00:40:12I'm gone.
00:40:13I enjoyed it enormously.
00:40:15I mean, Neil, you picked a dance to do, a powerful dance like that.
00:40:19I mean, I have to be honest, you came second best.
00:40:21She was mighty.
00:40:23You were magnificent.
00:40:25You were...
00:40:27Wham!
00:40:28Wham!
00:40:29Wham!
00:40:30Two falls in a submission.
00:40:32It was incredible.
00:40:33I really...
00:40:34Your timing was good.
00:40:35Your musicality is good.
00:40:37Your power was tremendous.
00:40:39Got a style as well.
00:40:40Yeah.
00:40:41I reckon you should do the main show.
00:40:42Follow in Harry's footsteps.
00:40:44What about that?
00:40:46He's good.
00:40:47He's really good.
00:40:48Craig?
00:40:49Yeah, I have to agree.
00:40:50Strong, clear, clean lines and moves.
00:40:54I particularly love all the floor work that you were doing because that stuff is not easy.
00:41:00I particularly love, love, love the rugby tackle, seeing Neil go down.
00:41:05That was my favourite bit.
00:41:07I'll check him out.
00:41:08Yeah, because he deserves that sometimes.
00:41:10I thought the whole thing was formidable.
00:41:14Oh, thank you.
00:41:16I think all the judges enjoyed Neil going down, Jodie.
00:41:21Sorry.
00:41:22And they certainly enjoyed your performance.
00:41:24Congratulations.
00:41:25It was brilliant.
00:41:26Well done, darling.
00:41:38You did so, so well and it was a hard routine.
00:41:42It was hard.
00:41:43It was really hard.
00:41:44And it was hard.
00:41:45Did you enjoy it, Jodie?
00:41:46Well, it was like a hit class.
00:41:48I thought we were dancing, but that was.
00:41:50Like, I'm absolutely blowing.
00:41:52You were magnificent.
00:41:55How much does it mean for you to be here?
00:41:57Um, well, I think obviously it's been a pretty hard time.
00:42:02And it, um, because last week I sort of lost my dad, which was a shock.
00:42:06And he was going to be here tonight to watch me.
00:42:09So I think, if anything, it's actually been amazing to be around these guys.
00:42:13Just getting me through it.
00:42:14Um, and, to be honest, I just danced like he was in the, in the audience.
00:42:21And I'm just happy my mum's here as well, and she's, you know, got out on that.
00:42:25So, yeah.
00:42:26Yeah.
00:42:27It meant a lot.
00:42:28You did brilliantly.
00:42:29We love you, Jodie.
00:42:30Neil, how has it been working with this extraordinary woman?
00:42:33Honestly, it's been incredible.
00:42:35And you know, we all turn around every time and say, oh, they're great.
00:42:37They're working hard.
00:42:38I said, I said to you, I sent you a message and I said, if my daughter can be like you when
00:42:43she grows up.
00:42:44Yeah.
00:42:45I will be the happiest man in the world.
00:42:46Oh, thank you.
00:42:48Amazing.
00:42:49Good luck.
00:42:50The scores are in.
00:42:51Will the judges please reveal their scores?
00:42:55Craig Revel Horwood.
00:42:56Nine.
00:42:57Woo!
00:42:58Motsi Mabusa.
00:42:59Ten.

00:43:05Nine.
00:43:06Lovely.
00:43:0737.
00:43:08Huge congratulations.
00:43:09You're over the moon.
00:43:10I'm, I'm, I'm just speechless to be honest, right?
00:43:11You know, I just wanted to get through that dance.
00:43:12Never mind that.
00:43:13So I'm honestly chuffed.
00:43:14Oh, so sorry.
00:43:15Someone's there.
00:43:16It's the door.
00:43:17Hello?
00:43:18Oh, 47 mince pies for a Miss Tea Daily.
00:43:19Yes!
00:43:20We live together.
00:43:21I'll take those.
00:43:22There was a few more, but I got a bit hungry.
00:43:23Tuck in.
00:43:24Oh, I bet.
00:43:25Tuck in.
00:43:26Yeah, go on.
00:43:27Everyone get in.
00:43:28Yes!
00:43:29I saved me a mince pie, you lot.
00:43:30It is time now for something romantic.
00:43:32So snuggle up on the sofa, give your loved ones a cuddle, and watch a beautiful Viennese
00:43:36Waltz from EastEnders star, Nicholas Bailey and his partner, Luba.
00:43:37Fancy little snuggle, Craig.
00:43:38Come on.
00:43:39I've always wanted to do this.
00:43:40Snuggling.
00:43:41I love you.
00:43:42I love you.
00:43:43I love you.
00:43:44I love you.
00:43:45I love you.
00:43:46I love you.
00:43:47I love you.
00:43:48Everyone get in.
00:43:49Yes!
00:43:50Always save me a mince pie, you lot.
00:43:51It is time now for something romantic.
00:43:52So snuggle up on the sofa, give your loved ones a cuddle, and watch a beautiful Viennese
00:43:54waltz from EastEnders star, Nicholas Bailey and his partner, Luba.
00:43:59Fancy little snuggle, Craig.
00:44:00Come on.
00:44:01I've always wanted to do this.
00:44:05Snuggling.
00:44:12My name's Nicholas Bailey.
00:44:13I've been a professional actor for 35 years.
00:44:15I'm best known for playing the part of Dr. Anthony Truman in EastEnders.
00:44:19I really loved you!
00:44:22I think being an actor will help me in my dance journey.
00:44:26There's an extent to which you've got to be in the moment.
00:44:28You've got to connect with an audience.
00:44:30I love to dance.
00:44:31Any time there's a beat, I'm the first on the dance floor.
00:44:34But in terms of formal dance training, there's no experience whatsoever.
00:44:38When I step out there onto the Strictly dance floor, there will be pressure, but I think
00:44:43you need that little edge.
00:44:45Hopefully, that's when the magic happens.
00:44:48And step.
00:44:49And courtesy.
00:44:50I've always wanted to do a Viennese waltz, but when I turned up, I realised how technical
00:44:55it was.
00:44:56Cha-cha-ba-da-boom!
00:44:57It's very specific, so it's tough trying to get your head around exact form and structure.
00:45:03So you...
00:45:04Oh, that's lovely!
00:45:05It feels great to do the lifts.
00:45:07Ah!
00:45:08I'm just worried that I'm going to drop Luber or spin her off the stage, but she's very,
00:45:13very kind, very, very patient.
00:45:14Beautiful!
00:45:15Gorgeous!
00:45:16There you go, yeah.
00:45:17It's amazing when you make a breakthrough, and you just see the smile break out on Luber's
00:45:22face.
00:45:23Well done!
00:45:24When people say it's transformative, they really are right.
00:45:27It's pretty amazing.
00:45:28And I'm really enjoying the experience.
00:45:31Luber, thank you so much for teaching me how to dance.
00:45:37And as a sign of my gratitude, I thought I'd bring you down to the amazing Albert Square
00:45:42for a spot of acting.
00:45:43Yes!
00:45:44I love it!
00:45:45Yeah?
00:45:46Let's go.
00:45:47Luber, Luber, guess what?
00:45:49What happened?
00:45:50Someone broke into Ian's gaff overnight.
00:45:52No way.
00:45:53Yes.
00:45:54And stole all his mince pies.
00:45:55How...
00:45:56How did they get in?
00:45:57They think perhaps they got in through the chimney.
00:45:59Who can that be?
00:46:02Well, don't look at me.
00:46:04I was in the Queen Vic all night.
00:46:07At least there is some honest people still around.
00:46:11It was lovely to take Luber on to Albert Square.
00:46:14Get out of my pub!
00:46:16Listen, if I was an agent, I'd find Luber in a heartbeat.
00:46:19Oh, hi guys.
00:46:20I found your birth certificate, Santa.
00:46:23Let me see that.
00:46:24Santa, it says here, Luber's your mother.
00:46:28You're not my mother!
00:46:30Yes, I am!
00:46:32Thank you so much.
00:46:33This has been wonderful.
00:46:34It's been lovely having you.
00:46:35After a bit of acting with Luber.
00:46:36Now I'm ready to get back on the dance floor.
00:46:37And just have a great time.
00:46:38Dancing the Viennese roles.
00:46:39Nicholas Daley and his partner Luber Wooster.
00:46:40It's the most wonderful time of the year.
00:47:08With the kids jingle-belling and everyone telling you be of good cheer.
00:47:20It's the most wonderful time of the year.
00:47:29It's the happiest season of all.
00:47:36With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings.
00:47:43When friends come to call.
00:47:47It's the half happiest season of all.
00:47:55There'll be much mistletoeing and hearts will be glowing.
00:48:00When loved ones are near.
00:48:04It's the most wonderful time.
00:48:08Yes, the most wonderful time.
00:48:12For the most wonderful time of the year.
00:48:26Yeah.
00:48:27Well done.
00:48:28How about that!
00:48:29Nicholas!
00:48:30That was totally charming.
00:48:31You warmed my heart.
00:48:33You look like you're having the best time ever.
00:48:34Oh, amazingly.
00:48:35Yeah, I had a fantastic time.
00:48:36Well that's a little warm as well.
00:48:37Wow, that was totally charming. You warmed my heart.
00:48:45You look like you're having the best time ever.
00:48:47Oh, amazingly. Yeah, I had a fantastic time.
00:48:50My heart's a little warm as well, for slightly different reasons.
00:48:53It was brilliant. A gift for us all, Shirley.
00:48:56My heart's warm too after watching that.
00:48:59I just thought it was beautiful.
00:49:01That is a gift worth giving over and over and over again,
00:49:05the night out and the Ritz on Christmas Day.
00:49:08You are debonair. You are sophisticated.
00:49:11You swept across that floor.
00:49:14It was pure class on Christmas Day.
00:49:17You're right. Amazing, thank you.
00:49:20I can't wait to hear what Anton thought of it.
00:49:23Oh, oh, oh, just good.
00:49:28I have to tell you, it was a bit of a surprise
00:49:31because it was really, genuinely good.
00:49:34I mean, your hands. Yes.
00:49:36It's them sweepity, sweepity, sweepity, sweepity.
00:49:40Hands and lovely.
00:49:42Your top nine, immaculate.
00:49:44Oh, thank you.
00:49:45You look like you've been doing this for months, not days.
00:49:47It was absolutely beautiful.
00:49:49Well done. My favourite dance of the night.
00:49:53Oh, his favourite dance of the night.
00:49:56I can't wait to hear what Craig thought about those hands
00:49:59because he's quite particular about those hands.
00:50:01Well, you had a small little incident, a little moment there,
00:50:05that I noticed.
00:50:07I'm just pointing out what I saw, darling, but you know what?
00:50:11I was as surprised as Anton.
00:50:13I've got to say, it had flow.
00:50:15It had rotation.
00:50:17You used the floor extremely well, darling.
00:50:20You were like a grand conductor out there.
00:50:22Yes.
00:50:23And the hands were fantastic.
00:50:25Yes.
00:50:26Truly, truly, truly beautiful.
00:50:32I love the way you used your standing leg,
00:50:34and honestly, your frame was unbelievable.
00:50:37How about that tail suit?
00:50:38That tail suit.
00:50:39You know what?
00:50:40You belong in the Wiener Ball.
00:50:42You go in and do a New Year's Wiener Walzer.
00:50:45So, so...
00:50:46Oh, very, very nice.
00:50:48It's very nice.
00:50:49Thank you so much.
00:50:51You've been a full-on Christmas surprise for the judges.
00:50:54Congratulations.
00:50:55That's got to feel good.
00:50:57Oh, yeah, it's amazing.
00:50:58And when we're gliding together,
00:50:59and we're just connected like that,
00:51:00I just want to keep going into the car park
00:51:01and down the high street.
00:51:02Well, we wish you would keep going.
00:51:03Yeah.
00:51:04Very well-deserved comments.
00:51:06Thank you so much.
00:51:07There you go.
00:51:08Thank you, Nicholas.
00:51:09And Niva.
00:51:10Let's go.
00:51:12Oh, yeah.
00:51:18Yes.
00:51:19You guys.
00:51:20Amazing comments.
00:51:22What's that?
00:51:23A bit sweaty here.
00:51:24Oh, Nicholas.
00:51:25You've never been on the dance floor before.
00:51:27Never.
00:51:28And then you went and did that.
00:51:29Yeah.
00:51:30What just happened?
00:51:31I had an amazing teacher.
00:51:33Yeah, Luba.
00:51:34My Meister.
00:51:36Luba is amazing.
00:51:37You were quite nervous before?
00:51:38Yeah, yeah.
00:51:39It's odd.
00:51:40I felt like a sense of excitement.
00:51:41But once we locked into one another,
00:51:42it was just like the world just disappeared.
00:51:44It was a really amazing experience.
00:51:46It's good.
00:51:47You want to feel a bit.
00:51:48You want to feel a few butterflies.
00:51:49Yeah, of course.
00:51:50It's very important.
00:51:51I love the fact that you said Luba is the greatest teacher
00:51:53and she has some interesting techniques.
00:51:56Yeah, she does, don't you, Luba?
00:51:57Yes, I do.
00:51:58I do.
00:51:59Well, I made him dance with a chair, with a scarf,
00:52:01with a broom, with elastics.
00:52:04What else I did?
00:52:05That's right.
00:52:06That was about it.
00:52:07Yes, sir.
00:52:08I'll just make sure that once he doesn't have me by his side,
00:52:10he can keep dancing.
00:52:11That's right.
00:52:12With any partner.
00:52:13It's been amazing.

00:52:50It's the door.
00:52:54Oh!
00:52:55Hello.
00:52:56Hallo.
00:52:57Hi.
00:53:04It's Carol Singers.
00:53:08Hmm.
00:53:10Has comrade, who's my heart!
00:53:18Hello.
00:53:20Oh!
00:53:37So sweet.
00:53:41Our final couple tonight is taking us out out for
00:53:44a cha-cha in a club.
00:53:46Some of the judges are keen to head out too,
00:53:48but I wasn't sure if it might still be a little bit early.
00:53:52It's never too early to go clubbing with Shirley.
00:53:58Let's go!
00:53:59Whatever you say, head judge.
00:54:02It's Scarlett Moffat and her partner, Vito.
00:54:11I'm here. I'm excited.
00:54:13I'm Scarlett Moffat and I am most famous for being on the telly,
00:54:19probably for being a professional couch potato on Gogglebox.
00:54:23I feel like I've just been so lucky that I've got to do crazy shows.
00:54:27I feel like this one might be my favourite.
00:54:32I've always loved dance.
00:54:34So To Do Strictly has been on my Christmas list since I was 13,
00:54:38since the show started.
00:54:39I'm so excited to meet the judges, you know.
00:54:42I really, really want to impress Shirley
00:54:44cos she's like the Latin queen and I'm doing a cha-cha-cha.
00:54:48I just can't wait to strap my dance shoes on and just get on that floor.
00:54:54Run, run, step.
00:54:56Training with Vito.
00:54:57I've already worn that glitter ball
00:54:59because I'm just having the best time ever.
00:55:01Oh, yeah.
00:55:03Candles burning low.
00:55:05Vito literally threw me in the deep end
00:55:07and by that I mean, like, actually threw me to the floor.
00:55:09Oh, my God, Vito!
00:55:11I've not been thrown about like that ever.
00:55:14So, you know, Merry Christmas.
00:55:16Belly front leg, big one.
00:55:17Shoo, shoo, stretch.
00:55:18So I have learned a new word, which is bogeys.
00:55:22When Scarlet was spinning around,
00:55:24there was a bit of bogeys come out.
00:55:25Oh, my God, I've got snot on my face.
00:55:27As a teacher, it makes me very proud.
00:55:29It means that you are spinning really quick, you know.
00:55:31So I say, like, good bogeys.
00:55:34This is my dream and it's come true.
00:55:35I just want to enjoy every single second of it.
00:55:41So me and Vito are having some well-earned rest from training
00:55:44and I really wanted Vito to meet my fiancé, Scott,
00:55:47and my little boy, Jude,
00:55:48and we're going to go on a magical Christmas light trail.
00:55:51Oh, wow, Jude!
00:55:53Look how many lines are out over there.
00:55:54What colours can you see?
00:55:56Are you cuddling, Daddy?
00:55:58We've only just introduced the idea of Santa to him,
00:56:00so hopefully he gets excited when he meets him.
00:56:03Oh.
00:56:05I think so.
00:56:07Hello there.
00:56:08Do you want to give Santa a high-five?
00:56:10I'll give you a high-five.
00:56:11Thank you very much. You're very kind.
00:56:14What would you like for Christmas?
00:56:18He's awful.
00:56:20I just don't think he was that keen on Santa.
00:56:23He's more interested in the lights, bless him.
00:56:25Jude, so cute.
00:56:28Sorry, he's wrong.
00:56:30Two-year-olds do what two-year-olds are going to do.
00:56:33This has been so wholesome,
00:56:35experiencing the madness of Christmas,
00:56:38and I'm just so excited now
00:56:41that Jude gets to watch his mummy and Vito on Christmas Day.
00:56:49Dancing the church-up.
00:56:51Scarlett Muffet and her partner, Vito Coppola.
00:56:53I should be asleep by the heat of the fire
00:57:05I'm on my way out
00:57:08And I'm going to stay out
00:57:12I can feel the oceans
00:57:15I walk in the door
00:57:17Tear between the crowd
00:57:19I can't live like a poor
00:57:21The rhythm, the lights
00:57:23I'm hitting just me
00:57:27Nothing more
00:57:31Nothing less
00:57:33I'm going to stay out
00:57:34I got one
00:57:35I'm going to stay out

00:59:58And the point is
01:00:00This thing that you do
01:00:02When you do your hand round your head
01:00:03And you walk around
01:00:04Going, yeah, yeah, yeah
