00:00All right, listen up basketball family, let's talk about the holiday season for our Arizona
00:05sports teams. Everybody's excited, right? But what's the one gift each team is really hoping
00:10to find under the tree? First, let's talk about our Arizona Cardinals. What do they need?
00:18Pro, promise. Ring. Seriously, because a ring means commitment. Right now it's 50-50,
00:26whether head coach Jonathan Gannon is here for 20-26, it's 60-40 for GM Monty Osenfort,
00:31injuries in 20-25 hurt. But the real truth after three years is this roster isn't built to compete
00:37yet. It's bigger than play caller Drew Petsing or whether Kyler Murray is the future. They need a
00:42clear direction. Do they reset hard, draft a new QB, or find a reclamation project like a Daniel Jones
00:48or Sam Darnold and try to win now? They cannot just trade Murray, bring back Jacoby Brissett,
00:53and run it back with the same staff. They need to commit to a path that's very,
00:57very different from Osenfort's original plan. So, my question to you, what direction would
01:02you force this Cardinals franchise to take if you had the power? Now, to our Hoops squad,
01:08the Phoenix Suns. Their gift. A playoff berth. They're in a strong spot, especially if Jalen Green
01:14adds that scoring punch. But Dwayne Rankin, at azcentral.com, reports they're eyeing power
01:20forwards on the trade market. They liked Jonathan Kuminga, but his new deal with Golden State
01:25complicates things. A big name like Jeremy Grant from Portland is out there, but to afford him,
01:30they'd likely have to move a contract like Royce O'Neal's or Grayson Allens. That's a big shakeup.
01:35Should GM Brian Gregory just stand pat? If they keep this core together, a playoff or even play-in
01:40spot seems realistic. That's a good gift. Showing fans they're on the right path and getting this
01:45rebuilt roster more time to compete for 2026-27. Here's my thought. Is trading for a big name PF
01:51worth the roster disruption, or should the Suns trust the chemistry they're building?
01:56Switching to college ball, the Arizona Wildcats men's basketball team. Their gift. A final four.
02:02Let's be real. Tommy Lloyd has kept recruiting strong with three sweet 16s. But it's been since
02:072015 since their last Elite Eight. A quarter century since their last final four. Gen Z probably doesn't
02:13even remember the pain of that 2005 Elite Eight collapse against Illinois, blowing a 15-point lead
02:19in four minutes with one of the best volume shooters in college basketball history having a
02:23bad game. The talent is there. Lloyd's team goes eight deep. They have freshmen to develop in the
02:29tough Big 12. A vet point guard and Jaden Bradley sighs and shooting. There's no excuse this year.
02:35So, I have to ask, with the talent on this roster is anything less than an Elite Eight or final four.
02:41A disappointment for Arizona Wildcats basketball this season. Finally, a quick nod to the other
02:46teams. Arizona State football already got a great gift with coach Kenny Dillingham staying,
02:51but they need a starting QB to replace Sam Levitt. Dillingham said they will 100% be seeking a portal
02:57quarterback. Names like Rocco Beckett, Iowa State, Josh Hoover, TCU, and Brendan Soresby,
03:04Cincinnati, are out there. The Arizona Diamondbacks, they need a lot. But what manager Tori Lavullo
03:09has wanted for years is a true closer. Someone to lock down the ninth inning like Paul Seewald did
03:15in 2023. But let's circle back to our game. The Wildcats have the pieces. The question is about
03:21legacy. When does a program stop being a blue blood? If the deep tournament runs, stop happening.
03:27Is this the year Arizona basketball officially reclaims that status? Let me know what you think.
03:32Is this the year Arizona basketball today? Let me know us. Let me know how to step back to our
03:46next steps, but arocco up love. If the positioning comes back to Florida is a very small student,
03:53the roles that campeonato has identified. So 25 whose head is not MALE Becca, who can
