00:00Christmas is upon us and that means good food, good company, and good movies.

00:04But what are the stars doing this year to celebrate?

00:07Well, the independent went to the red carpet tied up.

00:10First up, what are their favourite Christmas movies?

00:13I really love Elf and I think Will Ferrell is a formidable comedian

00:17and to have written Elf and to see it year after year after year

00:20coming in strong, that is the dream when it comes to Christmas films.

00:24My favourite Christmas film is The Sound of Music with Julie Andrews.

00:29I've watched it every year since I was a little girl.

00:32I think it's an uplifting movie with some sadness in it with a beautiful ending.

00:37The music in it is off the charts. She is unbelievable.

00:41Probably chilling in, putting some PJs on and watching Elf. Elf is unbelievable.

00:48Grinch? Maybe The Grinch?

00:51But, I mean, I've probably seen It's a Wonderful Life the most.

00:54I can't get enough of that film. That's a masterpiece.

00:56I mean, look, you have A Wonderful Life, you have Miracle on the 34th Street,

00:59but I don't know if a bad Santa keeps popping in my head.

01:02My all-time favourite Christmas film, Die Hard, Love Actually,

01:08but anything Christmas is just epic.

01:13You know what, it's going to be a bit of a tradition, less than a bit soppy,

01:17and I'm going to say Jimmy Stewart in It's a Wonderful Life.

01:19And do they have any fun or unique traditions?

01:22I am going to be with my family. That's all I need.

01:25I don't think they're strange.

01:27I think a Christmas tradition is just to eat way, way, way, way too much brandy butter.

01:33Yeah, I can't help it. I mean, it's once a year.

01:35Well, for me, it's once a year. I don't know if you eat brandy butter the rest of the year.

01:37We always set a place for my brother, who can't be with us anymore because he's gone.

01:42But we always set a place and we put his urn there, so people might think that's strange,

01:45but we feel like he's at the table.

01:47We do a fancy Christmas lunch at a hotel in London.

01:50We go to Royal Albert Hall to see the carols.

01:53I go to Christmas trains. I go to grottoes.

01:56I do everything I can. The ice skating.

01:58I really just exhaust everyone all Christmas.

02:00A nice, chill morning, a big, fat breakfast, presents, hanging out, a bit of telly, cooking, eating, sleep.

02:10The fact that you do presents after breakfast, that is so much self-control.

02:15Well, it's something my mum instilled. She's like, absolutely not.

02:19Ida, my wife, is an Olympic memory maker and she is the embodiment and the spirit of Christmas.

02:25The songs can't come early enough.

02:27And looking ahead to the end of the year, what are their New Year's resolutions for 2026?

02:32Look, I'm pretty happy with my life.

02:34I think maybe for the first time ever, I don't need or want one.

02:38I feel pretty centred and joyous and appreciative, so there's that.

02:47It's always the same just to have a better year than the year that I did before.

02:51I've got no idea. At the end of the day, I'm at the peak for me personally, so it's only down from here.

02:57My New Year's resolutions for 2026 are really shallow, actually.

03:02I just want to be hot. I just want to stop breastfeeding and stop being pregnant

03:07and, like, maybe get a facelift and just try to be hot next year.

03:12Maybe find myself somebody cute.
