What are your New Year’s resolutions?

We’re asking the people of Cardiff whether they’ve got resolutions they want to hold through 2025.

00:00Be more honest, I think. I tend to be quite a people pleaser and sometimes that'll put

00:06me at a disadvantage, so I'm trying to say no a lot more this year and actually put myself

00:09first a little bit more. So I'm trying to be more open and taking a lot more and be

00:15authentic to myself rather than just following the flow a bit more.

00:18I'd like to just live my life a bit more. I really enjoy 2025, I'm at a point in my

00:24life where I'm young but I'm also free, I'm almost 18, so I think just living this year

00:29won't be too much for this. I think that's what I'd be happy with. I'm finishing my A-Levels

00:35now so hopefully get to Virginia and stuff like that.

00:38I mean don't complicate it, really. I mean it's a new year, it's nice, have a drink.

00:44But other than that, I'm not going to try and tell myself I'm going to go to Virginia

00:48because I'm just going to be disappointed in about four weeks. So, no, I'm happy.

00:53Travelling abroad, there's a lot of things we can see here. We can get the cheapest,

00:58like £30, £40. We can travel to Turkey, Spain. If we invest in that, it will be more

01:04happy. And we can create more memories. That will be a great thing to this 2025, for myself.

01:14I've started going to a gym, so I'm going to try and eat a bit of weight.

01:19How about yourselves?

01:20Right, so I'm going to help my mum move around the house, so she always does things inside

01:26the house. I'm going to start mowing the lawn and doing the garden for her. She's like,

01:29nice lad.

01:30That's a very nice one. How about yourself?

01:31I just want to be a bit more organised with stuff and do stuff in Portugal.

01:37Last year, it was quite good for me, but I need to be more organised, doing step by step.

01:45At some point, like we tried to grab, actually I tried to grab everything together

01:49and I leave too many projects incomplete. So I want to change the project more. I want to

01:55be planning and executing a little bit more.
