00:00For the 70th year, the North American Aerospace Defense Command known as NORAD tracked Santa's journey around the globe.

00:10Via their online website, users worldwide could follow his journey.

00:14For the first time this year, Santa Seekers could place a call through the program's website.

00:19Over 1,000 volunteers took calls on Christmas Eve Day to support the practice.

00:25NORAD is a joint United States and Canadian operation charged with monitoring the skies for threats since the Cold War.

00:32The devotion to the tradition dates back to 1955, when the child mistakenly called the operation center and asked to speak to Santa Claus.
