00:29duty separates you from your loved ones but you have earned the gratitude of all americans for
00:35keeping our country safe strong and free and tonight and tomorrow countless millions of americans have
00:41you in their prayers we are praying for all of you you have no idea how respected you are how loved
00:47you are you don't see it because there's no way of you seeing it but you are respected and loved more
00:53than anyone as your commander-in-chief i also want to thank you for your incredible backup you've backed
01:01up everything i've wanted to do and you've made our country stronger and more prosperous than ever
01:08before but i have your back also because by now i hope most of you have received your special warrior
01:16dividend of 1776 right 1776 dollars and you know in case you're not aware of it it's tax-free
01:26you don't have to pay tax in other words you don't have to send half of it back to the government 15

01:59that one dollar was pretty cool last week i also signed a 3.8 pay raise for every soldier sailor airman
02:08coast guardsman space guardian and marine so it's it's uh it's been a good time for you the country's doing
02:16well we're taking in hundreds of billions of dollars from tariffs that have really made us stronger
02:22and much richer and given us great national security so you are a beneficiary of that we
02:28have six units joining us today one from each branch of our military
02:33military and joining us all the way from iraq is the u.s army 2nd brigade combat team and part of the
02:4034th infantry division that's a big deal thank you to brigade commander colonel eric salts and the
02:50entire unit for your extraordinary work to crush the isis terrorists which you're doing and it was a big
02:56attack and you really did a big job i know you will continue to show no mercy you can't show mercy
03:04because they show no mercy to us i also want to recognize the crew of the uss gerald ford aircraft
03:11carrier that's an interesting place to be right now in the caribbean sea home by captain dave
03:18scarossi and i was honored to commission the ford in 2016 2016 and 2017 it was under construction for
03:29a long time i won't tell you how many billions it costs but it's a lot but it's the latest and the
03:35greatest and i'm tremendously grateful for the work that you're doing to stop drug trafficking in
03:42our region as you probably heard uh drug trafficking by sea is down 96 percent think of that 96 now we're
03:51going after the land the land is actually easier but by sea it's down 96 percent and what we're really
03:58trying to do is figure out who are the four percent because uh we haven't stopped pretty cold
04:05representing the marines today is the 15th marine expeditionary unit serving all the way from the
04:13philippines under colonel rob mcdonald thank you colonel you did an outstanding job helping the
04:19philippines recover from two devastating typhoons recently there they got hit hard and you're also
04:26an unstoppable symbol of american power in the pacific so i want to thank you let me also congratulate the
04:33men and women of the united states air force for their work to support our campaign to stop drugs
04:39from pouring into our country through the caribbean including all of the work that you've done with
04:46the six expeditionary air refueling squadron led by lieutenant colonel daniel mclaughlin you're currently
04:55deployed in the u.s virgin islands and you've been away from home for christmas for a while actually but
05:02you're going home soon and the virgin islands are very beautiful place to be you have to be someplace
05:08not so bad to be in the virgin islands so i want to thank you for the great job you've done and
05:12let's also salute our amazing space force that's very close to my heart the space force because i was
05:19the one that started it and it turned out to be a tremendous success invaluable you have a team which
05:27is working for the uh really american dominance and outer space when we started we were third behind
05:35china and russia and now we're leading both by a lot the 42nd electromagnetic warfare combat detachment
05:45how about that name it's so great that's what it's about that's called modern day warfare but under the
05:52command of captain kay lee kunoff is currently performing cutting edge defense activities at an
05:58underscores location i'd like to tell them where you are i know but i won't do that but i just want
06:04you to keep up the great work and i'm very very honored by space force the job you've done what you've
06:10done is incredible in a very short period of time i always said it's going to be one of our most
06:14important one of the most important things i ever did last but not least let me thank the members of
06:21united states coast guard we're also involved in the fight against drugs our fantastic crew on board
06:27the coast guard cutter glenn harris led by lieutenant hunter blankenship is doing a great job stopping
06:36narco terrorists and keeping trade flowing off the coast of bahrain so once again i want to thank you
06:43all i want to wish you a merry christmas and i look forward to hearing from you and i just have to say
06:48that it's really great having our first lady here she's been an inspiration to so many people she's
06:56loved by so many people and thank you very much first lady we'd like to say something thank you all for
07:04your service please stay safe and i wish you and your families a merry christmas i'm sure they miss you
07:11at home but they're rooting for you and they're very proud of you so are we the nation is proud of
