00:00i said we because i'm not alone in my journey yes yeah god is with us so when we play now
00:11um i just want us to follow with the notes it's just
00:24so that is okia pata tea on omelie akko batter wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow
00:40um thanks a lot um of africa we really appreciate and thanks for sharing your knowledge and guys
00:49said i made mention of profound wisdom knowledge and words insights so now let's dive into the
00:58word of insights what are your views to yoruba tradition consigning to yoruba culture consigning
01:07this drumming traditions okay and what are the benefits of um drums in yoruba culture okay
01:16thank you so much you see one thing about yoruba culture i to say that yoruba culture the yoruba culture is
01:28one of the most amazing cultures and you know our continent here if not the most amazing
01:37if not oh i i'm a proudly yoruba so i can totally say that my culture is my pride you know i'm proud to
01:50say that yoruba is the best culture ever anytime any day so talking about the butter drum generally the butter
02:02family it's a family it's a drum that is very significant to the yoruba culture
02:18so this is one of the reasons why
02:21i i decided to choose uh to choose butter as my major precursor history because it's so precious to the
02:31yoruba cosmology
02:35okay thank you thank you thank you sir um talking about yoruba tradition
02:40i'll leave your warrior um you know but i say okay surely if you want to just brief um history
02:49about omelibata to figure out if your war like only fee
03:00something like that um just brief history
03:04on omelibata all right so like you rightly said brief history because if we say that we want to
03:15venture into this thing we might not leave here that's the truth but what i would just say is before
03:22i was born this drum has been existing even when i will be no more so the truth about it is
03:38this drum actually originated from you know ancient culture when we have um the likes of
03:49yoruba gods for example let's take shangu as a typical example shangu is part of yoruba gods in those
03:59days in the ancient time this drum is shangu's favorite when we're talking about shangu wants to
04:07dance or wants to perform wants to do his heart this is shangu's favorite drum and you know there's a
04:16saying about batadron generally way alubata guitar well i i would say that that that holds in this
04:29generation so many alubatas because the way we do battle these days is different from the way they
04:34played in asian times so most especially our generation most of us we use these african drums
04:43for personal aesthetics now okay i want to style the way i'm playing it i don't really have to play
04:49the way they've been playing it since then so the brief history about omelibata is what i just you know
04:58mentioned that it's actually emanated from asian time when we have yoruba gods that is where the whole
05:05thing according to history that we you know hurt too and so thank you thank you onibata of africa um
05:17now what you're trying to tell us is uh um the main and the true founder of onibata is majorly or
05:24basically yoruba culture yeah right okay thank you sir you talked about something um let me recall again
05:33okay okay before then let's quickly dive into or explore into the benefits of uh batter in yoruba life
05:41in um 20 20 centuries what are the benefits of um omelibata okay well i would say you know from my
05:54my view it has a lot of benefits in the sense that there is almost no journey of music that's not a company
06:08or fit in on how you can hit it in your music that is one of the major benefits is that you know they
06:20they used to call there's a there's a word old school we do say old school old school yeah there
06:26there are some of uh percussive instruments that can never be able to just drop this part of them
06:33because there's no like i said there's no journey of music that you want to incorporate it into that
06:40and not fit into depending on your creativity level so that is like one of the um major
06:51you know benefits of this job okay thank you so talking about creativity um there are different
06:59types of proverbs nowadays um um like my very own copyright um prove up okay on this omelibata okay
07:24well in let me let me let me get your question well yeah you're saying proverb like the normal yoruba
07:32proverb proverb yes now in terms of proverb there's another name we call it now we don't we don't we
07:43don't really call it proverb we call it and do okay yeah we call it whereby you are free to just create
07:51your own um signature on the drum well for this percussive instrument umbelia kobata like i said
08:02it's a percussive instrument but you can decide to do a solo on it whereby you can now create a signature
08:12but majorly the primary assignment of this one is to accompany
08:15not to lead but i can trade something now for you for example the um the program we are on now
08:27the title of the program is of only part of africa no no no i mean your easy girls brown yeah let's just
08:34create something around your um brand now so we have easy wheels media all right for example we'll just create
08:43something now you can say easy wealth media all easy wealth media all uh what me don't joke or job
08:58don't joke or job ah wow no joke or job now that is the signature i've said something and what i just said
09:08down can be played can be played i would like to dance through it all right so we have the notes too easy
09:16wealth easy wealth media media media yeah easy wealth media oh me me me me redo easy where else media oh so if i'll play
09:32that anyway play that on my um
10:02so
10:21easy world media oh so that's just um let me say a creative session like just just to
10:32create something and what you sell so don't forget guys easy wealth media oh
10:44yes thank you thank you thank you thank you nubata of africa i really appreciate me
10:50brandwa god bless you uh more wisdom and understanding in jesus name
10:55let's have it um let's explore into the world of challenges okay yeah um wherever there is positive
11:05there is always negative even in love electrolysis diving into the world of chemistry so
11:13um what are the challenges being faced maybe during um your early stage of only battle of africa
11:22to date can you share some experience about your concerning your challenges and your negativities
11:30during your early stage all right thank you sir well i would say my major challenge you know starting
11:40the whole brand of uh only battle of africa is getting people of you know uh like minds to
11:54run this um vision together like there's a saying that for example now
12:02on this program the other time playing easy world media of our nilojokojo
12:10i'm supposed to play with my team no no no no even team now the rest of
12:19but someone on the family then i cannot decide to play my lead signature on the yellow batter or
12:29this only battle but now it's it's not really sounding food but we will still be able to you know have
12:36the picture of what we are saying you know people that are also dedicated to their art like i do
12:44because also when i see some people when i see their attitude towards
12:50what they claim to have passion for i'll be like okay is this what you call um of dedication so that
13:01was my major challenge you know starting this brand am i am i am i the only one feeling this way or is it that
13:12i'm doing rubbish you understand so but as time goes on i didn't stop and as i'm now at least i've been able to
13:26um meet people of like you know minds to actually run this um vision together unlike when i said it was a major
13:38challenge for me okay okay okay okay thanks a lot thanks a lot yeah there are always challenges
13:48and i pray we overcome them in jesus name amen um okay let's quickly dive into the hope what are your
13:55hopes of future of um yuva culture drumming traditions and orders and also what are your what are your wish
14:03on um um this omili batter are you getting my question okay i'm okay let me say i'm not i'm not
14:12really getting okay let me get like what are your okay let me go like this your aims and objectives your
14:19main subject and also your hopes are you getting it on this yuva tradition this drumming tradition yuva
14:27culture culture your future hopes all right just like mission exactly actually when i started the whole
14:40vision thing is to raise you know talented artists with excellent spirits you know there's nothing
14:56as good as good as you being excellent uh what you do so you know raising people raising performers
15:06with excellent spirits like having a platform whereby people can come to learn about african drums
15:17african danse's african danse's african culture generally excellent
15:27okay um in respect to what you said now how do you think technology and social media
15:35can catapult um or alex um the future of yoga culture
15:41uh well let me say the social media is already into that you know even what we are doing currently
15:53is one of it you know reaching out on social media making you know connecting networking from with people
16:04from all over the world okay taking culture to the media for example let's say as we are here now we are not
16:14planning to make this to uh beyond so in summary i want to you know urge
16:26of artists performing artists in various capacities that we should just endeavor to
16:39push more of our contents you know to the world to social media it's there for us to you know utilize
16:49through this we can get more people into this you know them developing interest to want to you know
16:58but it is whatever whatever the high sees you know it's okay ah i love this
17:07so you know social media is a great platform it's a great tool for us to reach
17:12to reach more people to reach the world so i think it's it's a plus on social media exactly exactly exactly exactly exactly exactly exactly exactly exactly exactly exactly right um

23:30What do you think about this?
23:34Well, Shebron, I'm a native of Kogi State, Kabba.
23:41I'm a native of Kogi State.
23:45I'm not going to say that.
23:48I'm not going to say that.
23:50I'm not going to say that.
23:52I'm not going to say that.
23:54Because of the image, I'm not going to say that.
24:04And so the image is hope.
24:07So, okay, we just say so.
24:10well just like
24:40okay
25:08well in order not to waste much time on that
25:14okay
25:22okay
25:26exactly
25:32This is the olive oil of Africa, which is the most important thing to do with the olive oil.
25:50Okay, what do you think about the olive oil?
25:59well like I said I developed interest based on my exposure during my
26:14unity so it doesn't have anything to do it could be culture then since you you
26:29developed interest during your universities this day do you have any
26:34memorable events or any memorable things you can share with other universities
26:42in your so okay in a nutshell you know as performing arts students and theater
26:50students when you have been admitted you the place under you want to go in
26:59training for few months by your seniors senior colleagues so they will you know
27:07you call it initiation process whereby they teach you how they do in take our
27:16world that is when you get to know how to do some things like get to dance singing
27:23drumming chanting and likes so during that time she will get to discover some hidden
27:34talents in you some hidden potentials that probably due to shyness you've been shy
27:42from days secondary school days or other days before you admission into university
27:52you get to discover some things about yourself that you wouldn't have imagined
27:58yourself doing wow so I could do this with confidence so from there you know okay I
28:06can do this why those high ventures fall into it and you know having more deep
28:13knowledge about it and before you know it it's become something substantial for you and
28:21that's like I said it was the genesis of okay thank you thank you onibata of Africa
28:29sorry did I ask that question yes yes yes yes yes oh thank you onibata of Africa oh before we dive into the next or the final or the concluding part of this episode I would like to play this to my
28:45to my audience to my audience to my subscribers
28:53and if you want me to play this I want your comment I want to see your comment rolling
28:57on the under this comment box so before then let me ask this final question then I
29:07will play this talking drum don't worry I'll play Alujo for you know I don't
29:13have to sing by now to drum so let's go let's could talk about how do you balance
29:19or oh no let's do like this you made mention of ones are able to get their own
29:27drum they should since I met some people you know doing that why you know we go to
29:35the world beyond would that be the end here on earth so why can't to learn from
29:42his um from his cheers from his insights and I would like us to and I will urge us to
29:50to grab from his enthusiastic acts at least let's be motivated to help others let's
29:57become an happy hands to each other at least it will it will boost and transform our
30:04our um our our national wealth so let's try to help ourselves transform each other and
