00:00so let's say what i want to do is i want to go ahead and create out a grade seat and
00:14automatically calculating grade seat uh that is a result seat in microsoft excel so you can actually
00:20do that quite easily so for that around over here let me just go ahead and add in let's say for
00:26example subject right here and then i'm going to go ahead and let's say for example add in quiz
00:31and then let's say for example assignment and i'm going to say midterm let's say for example
00:36and i'm going to say final and total right here so you can see that i got all of these parameters
00:42and let's say this is for a single student let me just select this all and then build this out as
00:47well for subjects i'm going to go ahead and have mathematics i'm going to have computer science
00:53right here i'm going to go ahead and have english just like this and i'm going to go ahead and have
01:00science as well i'm going to adjust the column to go ahead and make room for everything let me just
01:05select all right here and then add in the border as well so let's say for the quiz the student got
01:1218 let's say for example right here for computer science let it be 17 15 and let's say for example
01:1916 right here for the assignment let's say for example it's uh 26 25 for this one and then 24
01:28right here and 23 as well but i don't know like how much is the total mark so i can simply go ahead
01:33and add in the total marks right here just like this so let's say this is out of 20 assignment let's
01:39say it is going to be out of 30 right here midterm it is going to be out of 20 let's say for example
01:45right here and then i'm going to go around and say final right here or finals let's say for example
01:51this is going to be 30 and total is going to be 100 right here just like this so i got these so for
01:59the midterm i'm going to go ahead and add in 15 16 14 and let's say for example 15 right here and for
02:05the finals i'm going to add in 28 27 26 and 25 right here just like this so now i want the total
02:15to be calculated automatically so for that i'm going to go ahead and press ok type in sum and
02:22open up the bracket and select out all of it right here and close out the bracket and you can see that
02:27the total is 87 and if i were to click and drag i get the total marks for each so now what i want is
02:34let's say for example i want the grand total right here just like this and then i'm going to go ahead and
02:40have in person days right here let's say for example and i'm going to go ahead and add in an
02:46overall grade let's say for example and i'm going to go ahead and add in result right here let me just
02:52go ahead and press ctrl x and v to paste it out right here and this is going to be in a table as well
02:58so for the grand total right here i want to go ahead and have a sum of all the totals so for that i'm going
03:04to press equals type in sum open up the bracket select out all right here close the bracket and
03:10then you got the grand total now for the percentage right here so now the percentage is going to be
03:16four subjects right here so i'm just going to go around over here just like this so i'm going to go
03:22ahead right here and let's say for example uh the total marks right here for four subjects is 400 that i
03:29know so i'm just going to go around and press equals and select this as a reference so i'm going to go
03:35ahead and divide it out right here by the total marks let's say for example 400 right here and press
03:42enter you can see 0.82 that is the percentage you don't see percentage right now but as soon as i click
03:49on percentage under the home tab you can see the percentage value right here so now for the overall grade
03:56i want to go ahead and use if condition so i'm just going to go ahead and press equals first i'm
04:02going to say if right here and open up the bracket and then i'm going to select grand total as the
04:09source value so if it is greater or equal to let's say for example 90 it is going to be let's just type
04:16in comma right here this is going to be a plus right here just like this so now once i do that i'm
04:23going to press comma again and now i'm simply going to go ahead and copy this because i want to repeat
04:29this if a bunch of times let's paste this out and let's say if it is above 80 right here then it is
04:36going to be let's say for example just 8. then if i were to go ahead and paste it and if it is above
04:42let's say for example 70 right here then it is going to be uh let's say for example b plus right here
04:50so if it is uh let's say for example uh above let's say for example right here 60 then it is going to
04:58be b right here just like this so this is what i want to go ahead and add in so you can see that these
05:05are all of it so i'm just going to go around over here add in more and if it is greater than let's say
05:11for example right here um greater than or equal to 50 let's say for example then it is going to be a
05:19c right here so i'm going to go ahead type in c then i'm going to go ahead right here and then copy
05:26this out so let's just go ahead and copy the if right here the c and i'm going to go ahead and paste
05:32it out and you can see that i can go ahead right here and let's say this is greater than 40 it's going to
05:38be uh d so if everything else is not correct then i'm simply going to go ahead and type in f
05:45so i'm going to start closing bracket now and as i close it you can see that each bracket highlights
05:50and then if i were to press enter you see the overall grade as well so apart from that i want
05:57to add the result as pass or fail so above 40 is passed and otherwise it's failed so i'm just going
06:02to press equals add in an if condition and open up the bracket select out the grand total and i'm
06:08going to press uh greater than or equal to and then i'm going to say 40. so if it is greater than or equal
06:15to 40 then it is going to be passed otherwise it is going to be fail right here and i'm going to close
06:20the bracket and this is what you have right here so i'm just going to go around over here and center
06:26align it out right here just like this and i'm going to go ahead and center align up align all of these
06:32marks right here just like this as well so this is what you have and apart from that i want to have
06:37the student detail so i'm going to press ctrl x and bring this data form downwards right here just
06:44like this and i'm going to go ahead and add in details right here like student name right here just
06:50like this and i'm going to go around and say role number right here just like this then i'm going
06:56to go ahead and say subject right here just like this so you can see that i got these details as
07:02well and let me just go ahead and add in my detail right here just like this and let's say my rule
07:08number is 31 and subject is going to be um right here so a subject is uh actually not necessary because
07:18i have it right here so great let's say for example i'm going to be in eight so this is what you have as
07:23you can see right here so now i can even go ahead and let's say for example bring it down right here
07:29and arrange this out and then i can go ahead and select out all right here uh just like this
07:36so let's just go around over here and insert this to the left as well and then insert it out onto the
07:42top i can select all of these right here just like this and then go around over here and let me just
07:49press ctrl z i'm going to go around over here and add in an outside border let's add in a thick outside
07:55border right here so this is what you have so i'm going to go ahead and resize this out right here
08:01i'm going to resize this out as well resize this out as well and you got an automatically calculating
08:08result right here just like this so you got this out right here so i'm just going to go ahead right
08:13here add in uh let's say for example a bottom border right here on all of these right here and i'm
08:19going to go ahead and center align this out just like this as well uh so this is what you have as
08:25you can see and this is what you have let's just go ahead and resize this out as well so you can see
08:30that i got all of the details right here just like this and i got an automatically calculating result so
08:37if i were to go ahead and type it zero you can see that everything else it changes out so this is
08:42going to be let's say for example 12 right here and so forth if i were to go ahead and let's say for
08:48example add enough failing marks right here you can see that i can go ahead and change up the marks
08:53you can see that everything gets calculated accordingly right here just like this and this
08:59is what you have so under uh 40 right here as you can see right and if it is under 40 right here then
09:06you actually have a fail so let's just go around over here and as you go ahead and do that you can
09:11actually go ahead and add in the marks as you want so i'm just going to go around over here
09:16type in the details right here just like this so let's just go around over here
09:21uh just like this right here or maybe i'm going to say 24 27 28 29 right here midterm is going to be
09:3114 13 16 and let's say for example 18 and you can see that everything uh gets calculated dynamically
09:39right here just like this so this is what you have as you can see so that is how you can go ahead
09:45and create out a result seat and automatically calculating result seat as you like inside of
09:52microsoft excel so i hope you found this video useful be sure to hit the like button don't forget to share
