00:00I touched you for only a fortnight, but I touched you.
00:30I definitely think writing music is a form of therapy.
00:39I want to snarl and show you just how disturbed this has made me.
00:47Sorry.
00:49Every record represents something different.
00:53You look like Claraboo in this light.
01:02Remarkable.
01:03Tortured Poets album is like this purge of just like everything, everything bad that I felt
01:12for two years.
01:13And I still can't believe.
01:16It was a really rough time in my life, so the songs reflect that.
01:21All I've been stuck, scream.
01:30That's the end.
01:31Yeah.
01:33Because I sound like I'm going to die.
01:34Feeling like I'm not a person.
01:37I'm just this like big conglomerate that no one sees as a real human being and like,
01:43especially not men that I date.
01:45And in the whole process, just being like, nothing, nothing works.
01:50Nothing's, there's no one for me in the world.
01:53Nothing's, there's no one for me in the world.
02:09These dressing rooms are freaking massive.
02:12Those are football players' locker rooms.
02:15They're for a 53-man roster.
02:18That's actually the first time she ever heard of Travis Kelsey, but she didn't know what we
02:21love.
02:21My cousins were like taking pictures with one of the, pictures with one of the lockers.
02:26They had no idea.
02:28No idea.
02:30Do you want me to tell the story?
02:31If you want to tell the story, then you should tell the story.
02:33I kind of do.
02:34She wants to tell the story.
02:35I do, because I think it's a pretty cool story.
02:37Mom, tell the story, please.
02:38Okay.
02:39Okay, if you really want me to.
02:43Speaking of Taylor Swift, I know you went to the Taylor Swift concert.
02:45How was it?
02:46Yeah, well, I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her show.
02:51It was because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings.
02:55So I was a little butthurt.
02:56I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.
03:00You made her a bracelet?
03:01Yeah.
03:01They're our friendship bracelets.
03:03And I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my
03:08number on it.
03:09Not right now.
03:09Ooh, your number's in 87 or your phone number?
03:13You know which one.
03:15Um, so she just...
03:17I'm looking at the headlines and perusing around what's on the internet, and I see that this
03:23guy came to your show, and he brought a friendship bracelet and wants to meet you.
03:30And so, of course, I call up my resident expert on Kansas City Chiefs, my cousin Robin.
03:35And I go, tell me about this guy named Travis Kelsey.
03:39And she goes, oh my God, he's the nicest guy.
03:44And you know what?
03:45He really loves his mom.
03:48I went ding, ding, ding, ding.
03:50And then I said, now how in the world am I going to get her to meet him or whatever?
03:55I was...
03:56I'd been very non-athlete because I'm not one, and I've always just been like, well,
04:00what would we talk about?
04:01And so you call me up, like, with this tone of like, hey, so I know you're going to not
04:08react well to this, but there's a guy.
04:10He's really cute.
04:12You said something to the effect of, like, you got to start doing something different.
04:17Listen, it was so earnest.
04:19I thought it was the sweetest thing in the world that he came to your show.
04:24Yeah.
04:24He brought you something from your world.
04:27Yeah.
04:28To me, that really said a lot.
04:30So.
04:31Yeah.
04:31I thought that was really sweet, and I liked it.
04:33You know, on our first date, he literally had to explain football as if it were like violent
04:39chess, which helps me kind of understand it, like high speed, angry chess.
04:44And then I just sort of became obsessed with him and therefore became obsessed with learning
04:50about football.
04:52Yeah.
04:52Greatest surprise of my life.
04:54Um.
04:56Now I like know who's on the injured reserve.
04:58I know who was in limited practice today for the 49ers.
05:01I'm like, what does it mean?
05:04What's the extent of the injury?
05:05Like, are we dealing with an Achilles thing or is his hamstring?
05:07Well, right now, we're just four days away until downtown New Orleans is covered in glitter
05:18and friendship bracelets, all for the arrival of Taylor Swift.
05:22Four and more Swifties are arriving by the minute.
05:24Elected officials and law enforcement are using this upcoming weekend kind of as a test
05:28run ahead of hosting the Super Bowl.
05:30Soon, the world's biggest pop star will perform three sold-out shows.
05:34Today, the Taylor Mania begins night one of the heiress tour here in New Orleans.
06:04Oh, these are from Travis.
06:09Oh.
06:13Oh, these are so beautiful.
06:17I love that he doesn't even have to sign them anymore.
06:20Being that we have a handful of shows left, we decided the first show of New Orleans
06:34that we should put some of the swings in.
06:37What a swing is, is a dancer who can do another track that's not theirs.
06:40So today, it wasn't full-out rehearsal.
06:43We're making sure that they know where they're going on stage so they can hop in.
06:46That's good, guys.
06:51That's me.
06:52How did that feel?
06:53Music's fine?
06:54Everybody else feel okay staging-wise?
06:56Yeah.
06:57It's wild how these dancers are so talented.
07:01The other dancers can fill in for someone else and do their choreography perfectly,
07:07hit their blocking perfectly.
07:09I don't understand how they can do their jobs and also have the option of doing everyone else's.
07:18Crazy.
07:19Whoever is not in ready for it or not potentially in ready for it can go back to the dressing room.
07:24A man wanted to rehearse different contingency plans.
07:31My girl!
07:32And I jokingly said,
07:34Oh my goodness, this is going to be one of the last opportunities I might be able to have to do ready for it.
07:42And she called me out and she's like, do you want to do it?
07:45All the dancers love ready for it, especially Wiley, and the boys beg to do it.
07:51Unfortunately for me, it is all female.
07:57I just remember watching it being created and just living in perpetual envy the whole tour.
08:07I land, land, land, land, land.
08:09He can be my.
08:10Beautiful.
08:11That song is really Wiley's style.
08:14He shines when he does that choreography.
08:22I love flipping my hair.
08:25I love being different characters on stage.
08:29I just love performing, doing really dope moves to really dope music.
08:35Down, boom, flip, boom, beautiful.
08:37Zoom, nice.
08:38The feeling of the song and the lyrics, it's just, it's a monumental number.
08:44So from the beginning, it was my favorite piece.
08:46Zoom, cross, cross, boom.
08:49And then why?
08:50This foot goes out right away.
08:52Boom.
08:53To go down, to go up.
08:55That's it.
08:56And I think what?
08:57Now, I still have to ask Taylor and management if that's okay,
09:01because usually we have it be an all-female dance.
09:04He's actually going to try on my costume and see if it fits.
09:07And if it fits, I would love for Wiley to do it
09:10because he's so passionate about doing it.
09:14Good job, Wiley.
09:20Good job, Wiley.
09:21Thank you, thank you.
09:22You look amazing.
09:23Thank you, everybody.
09:24Thank you, Wiley.
09:25Thank you, Wiley.
09:25Thank you, Wiley.
09:26Thank you, Wiley.
09:26Thank you, Wiley.
09:27Thank you, Wiley.
09:28Thank you, Wiley.
09:29Thank you, Wiley.
09:30You know, with this tour, we're not very, like...
09:38We're not trying to make any points about gender,
09:42but we just don't really have any kind of restrictions.
09:47We got guys in heels and leotards and stuff,
09:51and we just don't really think too hard about it, right?
09:55Like, if you look at Look What You Made Me Do,
09:56you have women and men dressed up in my former costumes.
10:01It's not like we just don't really overthink it,
10:05and I think that's kind of one of the most fun things
10:07about, you know, the way we've approached this tour.
10:10We overthink certain things.
10:12We let some things just kind of just be naturally individualistic
10:16in terms of our casting and our dancers' expression.
10:31Wiley's such a badass.
10:32He's been doing this for so many years.
10:34He's a vet.
10:35For him to go in tonight would be awesome.
10:38Go, go, go, go, go.
10:39What do you want to straighten your tremendous ears?
10:41I'm going to be in the audience.
10:47Bitch.
10:49Show them your turnpins!
10:53That's my girl!
10:55Did you wear your dance belt?
10:57Yeah, I love a dance belt.
10:59She will.
11:01Wipe that sweat.
11:02It looks like the movie one.
11:04I know I don't do no one without my finger.
11:06I'll resist you.
11:07I'll resist you.
11:07I'll resist you.
11:07I'll resist you.
11:07I'll resist you.
11:07I'll resist you.
11:07I'll resist you.
11:08Oh, she's on.
11:10That's it, right?
11:10Yeah.
11:13Wiley fit into my costume with ease,
11:15and if Wiley goes in tonight,
11:17it's up to Taylor.
11:18She gets the final say.
11:23Can I go to the game?
11:24Yes.
11:24Monday night game.
11:27Um, oh.
11:29So Wiley's dream
11:30is to do Ready For It.
11:32Amanda's going to take...
11:33What do you mean?
11:35He wants to dance.
11:35Ready For It?
11:36Okay.
11:37Amanda sent me this video.
11:40Does he have a wardrobe?
11:41Yeah, he wants to be the swing tonight.
11:44Yes!
11:45There she is.
11:47Find the Rockets a little up.
11:49Don't be a vibe.
11:52Yes.
11:53It's...
11:54Yeah!
11:55Oh, oh, oh, oh.
11:56Does he just fit in Amanda's wardrobe?
11:59Yeah, I think so.
12:00Are you ready for it?
12:02What?
12:02Oh, oh.
12:02Yes, 100%.
12:06That's amazing.
12:07No, stop.
12:25Stop.
12:26Stop.
12:27Stop, stop, stop.
12:33No!
12:35Muscle memory is the first step
12:37in, like,
12:39brain atrophy for me.
12:41That's why I love my acoustic set so much.
12:49I love being challenged to come up with different things to do every night.
12:52I wash my hands of us at the club.
13:09You made a mess of me.
13:11Preparing for the acoustic set is something that I do because I don't want to just wing
13:20it, you know?
13:21Like, I want there to be a sense of quality.
13:25I would never just get up there and be like, guess I'll try something that has to be purposeful
13:30and it has to be well executed.
13:32Like, it is always a moment I'm somewhat unprepared for because I'm rehearsing this a few times
13:38in my dressing room and then it's time to bring it to the stadium stage.
13:41So there's always a level of sort of, like, nervous anticipation of sort of, like, make
13:46sure you remember all these words.
13:48Make sure you remember that this song transitions into this song.
13:50But there's also an element of detail that goes into it.
13:53It's moving on, it's always easy for me to do.
13:57It's different.
13:59It's different because it's you.
14:09Walking through the crowd, the village is a-blow.
14:14Light is open, loud, heartbeats under coats.
14:18Everybody here wanted something more.
14:22Looking for a sound we hadn't heard before.
14:26There were points in this tour when the tour was the only thing that was really keeping
14:31me going in my life.
14:33But there were never points in the tour where I thought, oh, you know what, I want to quit
14:36the tour because the tour is hard.
14:38No, my personal life was hard.
14:40I went through two breakups on the first half of this tour.
14:43And that's a lot of breakups, actually.
14:46The show was what gave me purpose and was what I could use to get me out of bed.
14:57So the tour has never been the hard thing in my life.
15:03The tour has been the thing that has allowed me to find purpose outside of the shit that
15:09was going wrong in my life.
15:12Men will let you down.
15:13The heiress tour never will.
15:14You know, it really kind of tells your story.
15:38It's so, it's so cool.
15:40It's so different.
15:41And when you first met.
15:45Who are we talking about now?
15:47Travis, your boyfriend.
15:49Is it?
15:49That's what I was thinking.
15:49I'm talking, this is about, these are literally two breakup songs.
15:53It's different, it's a breakup song.
15:54I know, but it's just, it's about.
15:56I just hear the pretty parts of it.
15:58I mean, I'm glad that that's, that you read that into it.
16:01Because I read into it, like, that this person is going through a horrible breakup and they're
16:04like, I can't move on.
16:05And then they do and they go to a big city and they, like, find this other sense of self.
16:10I guess so.
16:14Anyway, so, is this, is that what you want to do?
16:17She doesn't have to convince me to be in love with someone who's good for me.
16:21This one's easy.
16:25Alright, do you need me?
16:27They need me in there.
16:28Okay, that's, that's all I have for you.
16:29Okay.
16:29Thank you very much.
16:31My little lucky charm.
16:32Bye.
16:33Bye.
16:34What has Travis brought to the tour?
16:37Well, first of all, he brought himself onto the stage on this tour, which was one of the
16:43funnier moments I can ever remember.
16:45How do I put this?
16:47Travis is like, he's a real, he's a real yes guy, like, in terms of life itself.
16:53Do you want to be centered in the middle of the front of it or behind it?
16:57I'm taking your, you're taking it.
16:58Boom.
16:59Whichever you want me to do.
17:00He's just up for anything.
17:01And when I wrote the skit for I Can Do It With A Broken Heart, where I had this very dramatic
17:09idea where I want to be a soldier on a battlefield and I'm fatally wounded and I die on the stage
17:17while singing and then we have this very sort of cabaret, dramatic vaudeville kind of skit where I have to perk up immediately to perform.
17:27I was like, oh, I was like, oh, that's, that's exactly the kind of drama I'm trying to put forth here on this tour.
17:34But I remember thinking about the skit and always just being like, if there was ever a point to put Travis in the show, I think this would be the one.
17:44But I obviously, I'm like, never going to suggest that because that's like, I don't want to, you don't want to scare people, you know?
17:50Yeah, like she has to be head on the left side.
17:54I can't remember how it came up.
17:56I think we were just joking around about like him doing it, like him going up there with Cam.
18:00And it became very clear that he like wasn't joking.
18:05And I was like, oh, wait, no, you would do that?
18:08It's easier then.
18:09Yeah.
18:10And then we can't run.
18:11And he was like, yeah, it would be hilarious.
18:13Come on, wake up.
18:14Wake up.
18:16I was like, if you're serious about this, I will send your measurements to wardrobe and they'll get you a tux.
18:22Like, are you serious?
18:24And he's like, put me in.
18:26Like, I'm in.
18:30The way that he just comes to life when the lights are the brightest, people talk about that all the time with him.
18:40They're like, the moment's never too big for Travis.
18:42The lights are never too bright for Travis.
18:44Like, I think that's as a player, he can like slow down time in the most stressful moments.
18:49And that's exactly what we saw on stage.
18:51He got out there and was the most charming, delightful performer you could ever be on the stage with.
19:01Like, his instincts, he's just, he's just so magically entertaining.
19:06He really is one of the happiest people I think I've ever met, which I adore.
19:20He just brought a lot of happiness, which is, I think, what he does in a lot of his circles.
19:29He brings, he brings a lot of happiness to the room.
19:33And that particular night, he brought a lot of happiness to a lot of fans.
19:37It was hilarious.
19:37I can safely say that that was, that was the loudest it ever got on the heiress tour.
19:45The one thing about dads that made me fall in love with it.
20:11But, growing up in Hawaii, I wasn't the typical masculine local boy.
20:21I felt like I didn't fit in anywhere.
20:27I found dance, or dance found me when I was seven and a half.
20:32They planted a seed of passion in me that I didn't know would blossom into something that would serve me till now in my life.
20:46It gave me a huge sense of confidence and a huge sense of power and belonging and purpose.
20:54In 2007, when I got into the industry, you had to, like, fit into a certain stereotype.
21:05Male dancers, they look like this, they dance like this.
21:08Female dancers look like this, they dance like this.
21:11I do love dancing masculine.
21:13It's something I love to do, but I also love dancing feminine.
21:15And I also love mixing the two together.
21:17I was always told, Wiley, you're great, but you flip your hair too much, or you're too feminine.
21:26That stuck with me through different jobs, being told different things about my appearance.
21:32This job, no one told me I needed to be buff.
21:38Taylor never made me cut my hair.
21:41I wear different color eyeshadows in different nights.
21:44It's been almost 150 shows, and Taylor not has once said, Wiley, please stop doing that.
21:50Never.
21:51I've never been filtered as a person of who I present myself on stage with her.
21:56And neither has any of my coworkers.
22:00And that may seem so small, but as a dancer who has been told to change,
22:07to filter herself for almost 20 years, it is one of the most meaningful things to me.
22:15It is so empowering.
22:18It is so loving.
22:20It is so enriching and so much fun.
22:24You know, Wiley, as a dancer and a performer, he can really channel that kind of, like, sexy femme side of himself.
22:51Wiley wanting to be in, uh, ready for it was just, like, so refreshing.
22:55So I was like, of course.
22:57I'm fully ready for it.
23:03Crack.
23:08So I'm gonna do one of the fake outs where I, like, sing, I'm gonna sing a chorus of her song,
23:14and the crowd's gonna be like, what?
23:15What's going on?
23:15What's going on?
23:16And then I'm gonna stop, and I'm gonna do this phone call bit, which I'll explain to you in real time.
23:23Now he's thinking about me every night, oh.
23:26It's the night sweet, I guess, oh.
23:29So you can't sleep, baby, I know.
23:31Let's then be espresso.
23:35And then I'm gonna be like, God, that song is stuck in my head.
23:38That song has been stuck in my head for, like, six months.
23:40Um, you guys know Sabrina Carpenter, you know, you know her album, it's so good.
23:46My friend Sabrina is coming tonight.
23:48She was the opening act on the Ayers tour for South America and Australia.
23:52So she was just on tour with us, like, six months ago.
23:55But since then, her career has skyrocketed.
24:00She's had the biggest song of the year.
24:02The album has been number one consistently since it came out.
24:05She put an arena tour on sale.
24:07It sold out in, like, two seconds.
24:09It's the dream scenario for how you would want your career to go as an artist.
24:12I'm gonna go out on stage, start my acoustic set, and be like,
24:15if you know the words to this one, like, sing along.
24:18I just, I have to, I feel like I can't ever get it out of my head until I sing it.
24:22Okay?
24:23So I'm just trying to, trying to just support me on this, okay?
24:27Now he's thinking about me every night, oh.
24:31Isn't that sweet, I guess so.
24:33The other day, Erica was like, oh, Sabrina and some friends want to come to the show in New Orleans.
24:37And I look up her tour schedule.
24:38She's got, like, a show yesterday and a show tomorrow in different states.
24:42And I was like, is this, like, child abuse for me to even ask her to perform on her one day off?
24:46I know she's, like, 25, but still.
24:49And they're gonna, like, be, like, losing their minds the whole time.
24:51They're gonna be like, why did you do that?
24:53Something's happening.
24:54And they're gonna be, like, and they're gonna be punching each other.
24:55Be like, no, there's no way she's, Sabrina's not here.
24:58Like, it's just gonna be the craziest moment of the tour of the year.
25:01It's gonna be cute.
25:01Where I could start.
25:03And you can kind of start singing whenever you want because this is the same chord progression.
25:07And I'm gonna start with the chorus.
25:08Yeah.
25:09I love you.
25:10Okay.
25:11Now he's thinking about me every night.
25:14Oh, is it that sweet?
25:16I guess so.
25:17Say you can't sleep, baby.
25:19I know that's that me espresso.
25:22Move it up, down, left, right, oh.
25:25Switch it up like Nintendo.
25:27Say you can't sleep, baby.
25:29I know that's that me espresso.
25:32I can't believe it.
25:34Or do we go, oh, yeah, do the chord progressions.
25:36I want you on stage for a million years.
25:37Okay, so I'll wait, I'll wait.
25:39And then that, isn't that, isn't that sweet?
25:40I guess so.
25:41Okay.
25:45Sweet, I guess so.
25:47I'm gonna be like, can I please do the line?
25:49I'll be like, you do the line.
25:50I wanna do the line so bad.
25:52Okay, everybody.
25:53Taylor's gonna do the line.
25:53I'm gonna do the line.
25:57I'm working late
25:59Cause I'm a singer
26:01Boy, that's so cute
26:04Wrapped around my finger
26:06My twisted humor
26:09Makes him laugh so often
26:11My honey, baby
26:14Come get this pollen
26:16Let's fast forward to 200
26:19Take out copies later
26:21I see your profile
26:23And you smile on unsuspecting waiters
26:26You'll be in my mouth before
26:29Called you a lying traitor
26:31You search in every meeting's bed
26:34But something greater
26:35Baby, was it over?
26:38When she laid down on your couch
26:41Was it over?
26:43When he unbutted my glass
26:46Come here, brother
26:47Spitting your ear on your dream
26:49As you passed out
26:51Baby, was it over then?
26:54Ends it over now
26:57And I'll be like, you know what I kind of want to do next?
27:13I kind of want to be like
27:14Since you're here
27:16Please, please, please
27:19Don't prove I'm right
27:22Do you want to, um
27:25I can't tell us what I want to do
27:26Please, please, please
27:29Don't prove I'm right
27:31By the way, no one's going to hear anything
27:33I know
27:34People are just going to be like
27:37Freaking out
27:38I felt like a real big idiot
27:40Because the first time you sent me the first version
27:42Which was so genius
27:43It didn't process
27:44The take out coffee line
27:46Take out coffee and espresso
27:47Really fits with espresso
27:48Until I literally was in the car on the way here
27:49And I was like
27:50She's so smart
27:52But yeah, that was a big blonde moment for me
27:55It took me a day
27:56But what are the chances it has the same rhythm
27:58And it's in the same key
28:00And so I'm going to get past a phone
28:02Stop
28:02And have it on speakerphone
28:05And put it up to the mic
28:05And it'll, like, ring
28:06And you'll be under the stage with a phone
28:09Stop
28:10And be like, hello
28:11Or
28:11I'll say hey
28:12Some way
28:13Some way that I do
28:14And I'll be like
28:15I'll be like, dude
28:17I'm
28:18I'm performing right now
28:20Like, aren't you playing a show right now?
28:21Yeah
28:21Like, aren't you in the middle of a show?
28:23I'm, like, watching your livestream
28:25This is so weird
28:25Like, no
28:26Just be like
28:27Aren't you playing a show right now or something?
28:29In New Orleans?
28:29I'll be like, yeah, about that
28:30I actually just, um
28:32Did, like, a chorus of espresso
28:33And the crowd sang it so loud
28:35That I just had to tell you about it
28:37Oh, that's so cool
28:39Oh, my gosh
28:40What are you doing?
28:44Why aren't you here with us?
28:46What are you doing right now?
28:47I'm
28:47Obviously
28:48I'm on, like, a rollercoaster
28:50I'm somewhere where everyone is screaming so loud
28:53Oh
28:55I wish I could be there
29:01I know
29:01It's weird
29:02I'm somewhere where people are screaming really loud, too
29:04I just
29:08Here's the thing
29:10Sabrina
29:10Is there any chance you could get off
29:12The rollercoaster you're on
29:13And, like, put on some clothes
29:15And just, like, come down to the stadium real quick?
29:17Oh, yeah
29:19Like, ballpark, how long would that take you?
29:27It would probably take me, like, five seconds
29:30Okay, see you soon
29:33Love you, bye
29:34Sabrina
29:47Sabrina
29:48Is just like a shooting star
29:51She's so smart
29:53She knows exactly
29:55How to entertain people in the way that they want
29:59In the moment that she's in
30:01She's just, like, battling herself for number one on the charts all summer
30:04And when you see that happen
30:07You're just like
30:08Go!
30:10Fly higher!
30:12And then it's even cooler when, like, someone like this will circle back
30:15And, like, bless us with their magic
30:19Please, please, please, please
30:22Don't prove I'm right
30:25Please, please, please
30:32Don't bring me the tears when I just did
30:35My makeup's so nice
30:38Heartbreak is one thing
30:40My ego's another
30:42Love, babe, don't embarrass me
30:45Motherfucker
30:47Please, please, please
30:54Now he's thinking about me
30:59Every night, oh, is it that sweet?
31:01I guess so
31:02So you can't sleep, baby, I know
31:05Let's get me espresso
31:06And let's get open now
31:12Let's get me espresso
31:16Let's fast forward to 300 take-out coffees later
31:21Mmm
31:22That's that me espresso
31:26My girl!
31:49It's fucking time!
31:53It's time!
31:55It's time!
31:57I have to say that this job is pretty scary
32:14I mean that because of how big it is
32:19So many eyes on you
32:24Venues we go to have almost 100,000 people there every night
32:29I can't believe this is happening
32:35I'm gagging
32:36If I think too much about what this tour is
32:40And how big of an impact it has
32:42I am riddled with anxiety and fear
32:45So loud
32:47All I want to do is represent Taylor well
33:04We are extensions of her right now
33:05We are extensions of her right now
33:06We are extensions of her right now in this job
33:09I just want to continue the message of what she's trying to say
33:20And I want to give that integrity to it
33:26I want to give that integrity to it
33:33Please!
34:03I
34:33I
34:35I
34:37I
34:39I
34:41I
34:43I
34:45I
34:51I
34:53I
34:55I
34:57I
35:03I
35:05I
35:07I
35:09I
35:11I
35:13I
35:15I
35:17I
35:19I
35:21I
35:23I
35:25I
35:27I
35:29I
35:35When I was given the opportunity by Taylor herself
35:41I was so honored. I was so honored that she would be down that she even trusted me to step in so last-minute like that, but I'm even more honored that I get to share the stage with someone
35:53Who
35:55Sees me
35:57And not only sees me she celebrates me
36:03She looks at me on the left. Are you ready for it? And she had like the biggest smile on her face and the shiniest sparkle in her eye
36:13It's not really that often where a male dancer can do like a female swinging part and even be allowed to like flourish as much as I
36:21He wants in in that part
36:23He wants in in that part
36:25I want to be that example
36:27For anyone
36:29Any person male female non-binary
36:31I want them to
36:33Feel seen just like how I felt seen by Taylor
36:35I
36:37Feel seen just like how I felt seen by Taylor
36:39I
36:41Can't believe that the cities would be completely transformed into?
36:53Really revolving around and catering to the fans that were coming in for the shows
37:11It blows my mind
37:13It blows my mind
37:15There's definitely this safety net or bubble
37:17That we're sort of encapsulated in and inside of it is just this joyous phenomenon that we get to share
37:25People are having this special experience where they're singing and dancing, listening to songs that some people grew up with
37:35Some people are just starting to love and it really lets them have this moment in time that they'll never forget
37:43This tour just cultivates I think just good energy
37:57It doesn't matter who you are, what age you are
38:03I feel like there's just a different type of tour
38:05It's just a different type of tour
38:07Her kindness and joy she has brought to the workspace is unheard of
38:13And it rubs off on all of us
38:24Gracie text me she's like I knew you were tall but like check this out
38:27I'm like on the side of the hotel like a million feet tall
38:31I used to have this joke and that's part of why I wrote Antihero was like
38:35I'm like a 5 foot 10 woman followed around by a 500 foot tall like monster shadow
38:41And this like monster just like knocks over buildings and like wreaks all this havoc
38:51And the me being that size tall on a hotel I'm like yeah
38:55That's kind of how it feels sometimes
38:59We are playing indie three nights
39:05And that'll be the last time we do the heirs tour show in America
39:11And it is like five days before the presidential election
39:17The one thing I can provide from people is an escape
39:20Like nothing could ever or should ever bother any of us
39:23And nothing will for three and a half hours
39:26I'm glad that I will have given
39:30Just a hundred percent
39:32Girlhood and hope and belief and sweat and effort
39:38Because
39:40That's the job
39:42So am I good to say to Trav that I can offer him if he wants to sit with my family?
40:00Yeah I think that's a great idea
40:02As many as they want
40:04Okay I'll tell him the whole group or whoever he's gonna want
40:10What are the songs for today?
40:14Well I was thinking
40:16I could do the prophecy into this love
40:20And I could do maroon into cowboy like me
40:24That sounds amazing
40:26That sounds amazing
40:28I could do the prophecy into this love
40:32That sounds amazing
40:34I could do the prophecy to the world
40:38And I could do the prophecy
40:40That sounds amazing
40:42Blue, blue, water, high tide
40:47Came and brought you in
40:50And I could go on and on and on
40:55Skies grew darker
40:58Currents swept you out again
41:02But you just
41:05Relationships on tour has always been something I've really struggled with
41:08Because it always felt like the tour was taking away from the relationship
41:12Somehow I was not able to do both
41:16And feel like I was nurturing both at the same time
41:20Even though I would try and try and try and try
41:22Somehow there's been this dynamic shift with Travis
41:27Because it's shocking how many similarities we have
41:31Towards our jobs and how we view them
41:34And how we view each other
41:35We both have jobs where we go out in NFL stadiums
41:41And we entertain people for three and a half hours
41:43His with considerably more violence than mine
41:46But he's not in heels
41:47But it's our passion
41:49We've been chasing this since we were little kids
41:51So I don't think I ever thought I'd meet
41:54A guy who had that same trajectory
41:58Travis has three guys on him
42:01Well yeah, because he's special
42:03And I've realized that with this person in my life
42:06That just was the right fit for me
42:08You can have the two passions coexist
42:12And they actually fuel each other
42:13Oh my god
42:19Oh my god
42:24Oh my god
42:25Oh my god
42:26Oh my god
42:26Yeah!
42:27Woohoo!
42:28Woohoo!
42:28Woohoo!
42:29Woohoo!
42:29Woohoo!
42:30Woohoo!
42:30Woohoo!
42:31Well that was fast
42:32That was nice
42:34Oh my god
42:37Come on!
42:42Ultimately
42:43We love cheering each other on
42:47That's rad
43:01It's so funny to be on stage
43:30And to see thousands of Kansas City Chiefs 87 jerseys
43:36If you would have shown me like a
43:39This is what your crowd's going to look like in a year
43:41Before I knew he was going to come into my life
43:43I'd just be like
43:44Why are there so many like football jerseys out there?
43:48It's a discernible difference in the way the crowd looks
43:53I swear to god
43:53It's every like 12th person
43:55Has his jersey on
43:56The fans absolutely love Travis
44:03And I think it's because they can tell that he loves them too
44:08And he just kind of loves all people
44:10Travis is just very comfortable with
44:22Conceptually speaking a big life
44:25Because he has one
44:26And it's not one that he has reluctantly
44:29He's very comfortable with it
44:31I think ultimately it's the way he treats me
44:37It's very clear
44:39And I think that's one of the reasons why the fans are so
44:45In love with him
44:47Because you should be
44:49You know
44:50He's very lovable
44:52First of all
45:05If you ever would have told me
45:06That like the most meaningful relationship
45:07I would ever have
45:08Would start with a man saying
45:10That he was butthurt
45:11That I didn't want to meet him
45:12Like
45:13Unbelievable
45:15Unbelievable
45:16That was so much fun
45:31That was so much fun
45:33There we go
