00:00Hey everybody, I'm Taylor. I'm gonna be doing some songs for you guys tonight.
00:05I hope you guys are having a great time.
00:07Very early on, she just knew she was gonna have to work hard.
00:14I mean, it depends on how far back we want to go.
00:18But it escalated from school play, theater group, karaoke nights.
00:26I'm gonna be doing some songs for you guys, and I hope you guys are having a great time because I sure am.
00:31Calling around to festivals and amusement parks to see if there was a spot for a little kid with a guitar and a couple of speakers.
00:40It was as basic as you can possibly imagine.
00:44Dragging guitars through airports, piling them into a rental car.
00:51Hit another city, another city, and just keep going.
00:56And she, from a very early age, always knew exactly how she wanted things to be.
01:04And she was always planning what her headline tour would be like.
01:09You know, I never heard her say the word fame or money.
01:15It was always just about the opportunity to go sing her songs and have everybody else singing those same words back to her.
01:26She would do these theaters, and they kept getting bigger and bigger and sold out faster and faster.
01:36So it was a gradual thing.
01:42But I don't think that when you are doing that, you ever, for a split second, take the time to think, it will become this.
01:54Don't you ever say it's up or not?
01:55You're not Being A Grande, I think.
01:58You're not buying these clothes that are now.
01:59It's my guess.
02:00You've got to be bought from your house.
02:02I just wanted to make this.
02:03You're not buying these clothes.
02:04Like this one at the end of the day.
02:06You did not buy this.
02:07You were not buying these clothes that you do.
02:09You're not buying these clothes.
02:11You're not buying them.
02:13You're not buying these clothes.
02:17The European tour was so intense that, by the end, I was exhausted, passed a
02:46point that I can remember.
02:50So we need the break after Wembley to recharge not only our bodies, our energy, but our passion
03:01for giving that much every night.
03:06So that by the time we got back to the U.S., we were all just like fired up.
03:16Since we finished the massive European leg of the Ares tour, it's really just been trying
03:33to get back up to speed, being home.
03:39We have this two-month break.
03:40We'll kind of regroup and catch our breath a little bit.
03:44I'm taking care of my home life, and then we'll get ready for the final push.
03:49I love traveling.
03:50I love my job.
03:51It's the best.
03:52And, like, everything's planned for us.
03:54And then you get home and you're like, what do I do?
03:57And you have to learn how to schedule things for yourself again.
04:00So why I'm really excited for this break is so that I can sit right here and practice.
04:11I do live with my parents, my little brother, and my grandma.
04:15I love coming home to them, getting, like, home-cooked meals and stuff.
04:19I am eventually going to get my own apartment in L.A.
04:25Definitely, for sure.
04:27It's a long time to be away.
04:30Rachel and I don't have children, but, I mean, I went crazy how much I missed the dog.
04:36You know, just trying to get back into being a normal human and having a schedule and adulting.
04:44Trying to get life back together.
04:46It's four months.
04:47It's a long time to just check out and have fun, but come back to, like, oh, reality.
04:53My car registration.
04:55Yikes.
04:56Love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this,
05:03love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this.
05:06Okay.
05:07Um.
05:08So we'll just start in show order.
05:11Yeah, let's put on all the...
05:13You know, if you want, we can take these for a spin for the run-through.
05:20Sunset.
05:21Hello, Miami.
05:22Yeah, this should be first, probably.
05:24So pretty.
05:25Nostalgia is a huge part of the era's tour.
05:30If you were 12 years old during the Red era, you're going to remember certain things that you saw
05:36and certain things that you felt.
05:38It's my job to bring those feelings and those visuals back to you.
05:42Ooh.
05:43Wardrobe is one way to do that.
05:44Oh, I love it.
05:45Oh, I'm so excited to come.
05:49The costume design for the era's tour was undertaken by my longtime stylist, Joseph Cassell.
05:55He's been with me since I was 16.
05:57The era's tour is all about the fans, you know.
06:04The reason I'm able to do my job so well is because I am a fan, too.
06:14I love the organic way that Taylor and I work.
06:17It's like this secret language that we have.
06:20She would send me images.
06:21She'll be like, ooh, send me an image.
06:24And I'm like, aha.
06:25Wow.
06:26I had a style epiphany last night.
06:27You did?
06:28And I pulled about 50 different pictures from online.
06:31Nice.
06:32For the acoustic set.
06:33Awesome.
06:34I want it to be all 50s dresses.
06:36For the tour, we chose to be a little reflective and sentimental and tie in the designers who had been with Taylor from the beginning.
06:48I mean, dancing all night.
06:49Yeah, my feet ache, but I'm wearing Louboutins.
06:52Like, it is a privilege for these feet to ache like this.
06:57This was designed by Roberto Cavalli.
06:59She puts it on in the dark on stage.
07:01The Magic of Velcro.
07:02The video for 22.
07:04I remember it like it was yesterday.
07:06Reputation.
07:07These strips are all sequined by hand.
07:10Cavalli, 1989.
07:12I remember meeting with Versace in Milan.
07:15And I was like, oh, my gosh.
07:17When you see the Versace bodysuit, just made of all these crystals and the light hits it and it's just...
07:26Oh, my God.
07:27Ooh.
07:28So obsessed with this.
07:29This is my new favorite, for sure.
07:31It somehow, like, heals me from having the stomach flu.
07:36It can take me from being utterly exhausted.
07:39I'm just like, nope.
07:40If I'm wearing this, I gotta level up.
07:42I gotta be on the level of this outfit.
07:48So here's another option of the coat.
07:50It's less overtly military, you know?
07:54When I start working on something with tea...
07:57You wanna try the white one?
07:59No.
08:00I'm only thinking about the effect that it has on her.
08:03Oh, my God.
08:07That's amazing.
08:09Until I step into a stadium and I'm, like, blown away.
08:14Listen for the best.
08:15My reputation's never been worse, so you must like me, fool me.
08:21Thousands of people dress in a way that reflects one of Taylor's looks.
08:26Diver on the east side, where you at?
08:28Falling lights at my nightstand in the black.
08:31Come here, you can meet me in the back.
08:33They use tape, they use stones, they use whatever.
08:36I am a lover.
08:37She has an outfit with, like, a lot of rainbow fringe.
08:40That's kind of where this came in.
08:42The commitment the fans have is beyond the music.
08:48There's a connection on a deep soul level with Taylor.
08:53During her New Jersey concert, Taylor debuted a new dress
08:56in this beautiful burgundy.
08:58Again, like the jacket.
08:59I really love this one.
09:04The costumes generally mean a lot.
09:07But reputation was monumental.
09:12Is it cool that I said all that?
09:14Is it too soon to do this yet?
09:17Cause I know that it's delicate.
09:21My favorite part of the show is the reputation set.
09:23My mom made this outfit from scratch.
09:25I have, like, a reputation bodysuit inside.
09:27I love it.
09:28Like, it tears into a bodysuit.
09:29I'm a reputation girl, of course.
09:32I love it.
09:34Taylor Swift's most iconic outfit on the Heiress Tour
09:37is, of course, this never-changing reputation bodysuit.
09:41Which we've only gotten one the entire 131 shows.
09:44What we're waiting for right now is to see if Taylor Swift
09:46is gonna come out with a new reputation outfit.
09:49What's the same?
09:50Same outfit.
09:51Yeah.
09:52We were clowning.
09:53We keep waiting for a new reputation bodysuit just for funsies.
09:58If she were to have a new reputation bodysuit, what would you want it to look like?
10:05This is the new one.
10:06This is the new one.
10:07This is the new one.
10:08Yeah.
10:14Oh, it doesn't look bad at all.
10:16No, it does.
10:17It does.
10:18See this?
10:19It's gotta come up.
10:20It has to come up because they think my boobs are here, but they're here.
10:23You know?
10:24The original catsuit was made from a different fabric.
10:29That was all the fabric that there was in the world.
10:31So we had to recreate the fabric for the second one.
10:34And for this one.
10:35I know what you mean.
10:36Yeah, it's just really annoying and I have to do really athletic shit in this.
10:39We thought we could fix it because there was no time for them to actually recreate a new one in time for Miami.
10:45They couldn't do it.
10:54Yeah.
10:55Slick!
10:56What other action?
10:57Dean, you have a piece.
10:59Sit.
11:00What?
11:01No.
11:02What?
11:03Action!
11:04I've never done that before.
11:07Dude, that was great.
11:09I'm gonna get one last time.
11:11Slick!
11:12Womp womp.
11:13Nope.
11:14What?
11:15What?
11:16Action!
11:17Wait, look.
11:18I've never done that before.
11:19Dude, that was great.
11:21I'm gonna get one last time.
11:24This is the tour gift wall where at the end of each tour we get a plaque thanking us for the, you know, for participating in the tour.
11:34This was my first tour with her and I started with Taylor in 2009.
11:39The trajectory of my professional life and career, yeah, that's probably the zero to 60 right there.
11:47Strapped onto that rocket and have been able to do all of this with her, which is great.
11:56Remember this?
11:57Aww.
12:01It was her first birthday present from Taylor.
12:03It's got a little photo of mommy and Sophie, daddy and Sophie and then Miss Taylor as she calls her.
12:12Yes, Miss Taylor.
12:14We had both our kids while I was working for her, so she was kind of around both of the births and I think that this was the first child, yeah, it was the first kid born while in the band.
12:24Yeah.
12:25Um, and so yeah, it was, I think it was a special moment.
12:28Yeah.
12:29Um, yeah.
12:32It's so wonderful being able to carry a professional family with you as you go through phases of life, as you go through ups and downs and heartbreaks.
12:43There is such a special bond among the touring family.
12:54That's, it's, it's like having another family.
12:56They're the only other people really in the world who know what this is like.
13:00Before the show, after the show, on the off days, we are like this.
13:05And that's not normal.
13:10It's like she's handpicked these incredible people to be a part of this family.
13:18Most of the people I'm out here on the road with have known me since high school.
13:24But also, there are people that I just got to know in this phase of my life.
13:34Jeslyn is one of the most talented, resilient, loving people I've ever been around.
13:41She was the newest addition to our backup singers.
13:44I started with her reputation.
13:47I had never done a stadium tour before.
13:49And so the first show was just like, whoa, this is a lot of people.
13:55We've been singing together for a couple of years.
13:58And when Jeslyn got sick, it was the first blow that the tour family experienced emotionally.
14:08It was like completely unfathomable to us.
14:13This sucks.
14:17While on tour, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
14:24And obviously, it was devastating.
14:28But every weekend, we had a show.
14:30So I still flew to the next city, did a show with everyone.
14:34And like in the middle of the week when we weren't doing shows, I would fly back to L.A.
14:38and just had biopsies and just poked and broaded to learn really what I had to do treatment-wise.
14:43And then hopped back on stage and pretended like nothing was happening.
14:49I'll never forget when she told us.
14:52Everyone was just in shambles.
14:55And it's the not knowing.
14:57Here I go.
14:58When I let Taylor know, she came storming in with hugs and crying and just saying, I'm so sorry.
15:05And her mom said, you just take care of you and we'll be here when you're ready.
15:10So six months, I had to like take off and go through chemo, surgery.
15:21I had edema.
15:23I had like skin issues.
15:26I usually have all this curly hair.
15:31Lost about 75% of my hair.
15:34I felt and looked completely different.
15:37And just kind of watch my friends on live streams in the show.
15:43It was a hard one because we got to come be together for months.
15:49We love you, Jess. We miss you.
15:51We love you, Jess.
15:52She was home by herself.
15:54I miss you.
15:56Isolated from the family.
15:59We just wanted her to know that no matter what, under any circumstances,
16:04if she wanted to come back, she could.
16:12Goodbye treatment.
16:16I said, how quickly can I get back on tour after I'm done with radiation?
16:21My doctor said that night.
16:24But you have to get back into shape.
16:28She literally finished radiation and got on a plane.
16:32I actually have a video of when we saw each other at the hotel.
16:35Oh, I'm touching you.
16:38Just coming back to this joy-filled show and these people
16:43just emphasized even more how much we're a family.
16:48I cannot believe that she was back in a few months.
17:02The will to come back and do the hardest show ever,
17:07none of us could believe it.
17:09I still can't.
17:10I do not.
17:37Blacked out.
17:38Right and just keep your body still in no way do I ever apply this to my
17:47at any point in the show just want to flag that as I do every time I have to do pull-ups
17:53strong dislike two thumbs down you have gotten stronger throughout the years it's from all the
18:07pent-up rage and resentment I have for them so you leave on Thursday night Thursday morning go
18:15there do a full run-through in the stadium which I'm really excited about with costumes I want to
18:22be like back in it so much that I can like not be so like remember your stuff that you don't want to
18:29forget like you know you don't want to see me do this without a rehearsal that's what you don't want
18:37there are a lot of things that we pulled off on this tour that I've never even attempted on past
18:42tours I think the longest show I ever did before was two hours and 15 minutes I never would have
18:50believed you if you would have told me we would be doing a three and a half hour show now saying
18:55that is one thing doing that physically is another I've never worked out this much in my life it's
19:02horrible I really had to up my game in terms of physical training six months ahead of my first
19:17rehearsal running on the treadmill every single day at the tempo of the songs that I was playing
19:24while singing them out loud you just don't want them to see you panting 1989 and reputation are very
19:35high cardio anything's hard when you're scaling a stage that goes the entire length of an NFL
19:42stadium I think I run like eight miles in the show once we get to Miami the turnaround time from landing
19:52and performing will be very short we leave in six days haven't played the show in a couple months
19:58and there are some things I want to make sure that I don't mess up
20:03oh we are so back
20:31can I do a video um like out in the stadium with my cat we'll find a place out in the stadium but
20:44it'll be like me walking in with my cat just like take my sunglasses off and like so it would be behind
20:52me and then once I stopped start going around me like this it's basically like we're back in the
21:00office you know yeah yeah and I've got my most well-behaved cat for it
21:04she is my best one
21:16oh what an idiot oh shirts on backwards I knew something looked weird
21:26it's wild being back so it's lots of hugging telling the same story like 50 times as far as
21:34what you've been up to over the break it's awesome it's awesome to be back it doesn't feel like work
21:38Florida one two three four we are starting our last leg of this tour we have 18 more shows left
21:46which is very bittersweet it's very sad
21:49we're cramming yeah cramming for the test at Miami stadium
22:00a little nervous but but you know it's because we want it to be good
22:05oh man well we'll see we'll see what I remember
22:10I keep thinking today is a show day huh I keep thinking today is a show day it is a show day
22:19it is a show day in my brain it has to be a show day I have got to like
22:23plan I need to do a full run through because my brain just it's like I can't remember a single
22:30part of the show we should all treat tonight like a show day show day
22:33um fitting time
22:37oh when are you bringing out new rep that's what I was about to say are we actually going to get
22:45I know I'm like I got really excited all of a sudden I gotta see if this can even happen
22:49because they put my boob cups on my rib cage either way I want to see it
22:56it's not that beautiful the way it fits me now
23:02I don't know how you guys manage this
23:17oh wait how does it fit so well this is beautiful I'm really glad they're here to document this
23:28they documented the other the other way oh it's perfect nothing's gonna pop out and look it's like
23:36it's in this how it is in the right spot because Diana's a genius you guys took the cups out what happened
23:41oh it's now my favorite I didn't see this coming I'm shocked
23:49amazing this I don't know I don't know I don't know I truly don't when I tell you guys that the bra
24:02was in a corset here
24:04like like a second row of others
24:08oh I'm so excited I'm so excited I've never had an alternate outfit for the reputation section not once
24:16as we were getting ready to go back into the shows again Taylor was like mom I'm really worried
24:44I'm trying to go back in my mind and run through the show and I get to certain spots and it just
24:49stops and I said don't worry about it I said you're gonna get back on that stage and everything
24:57will come flooding back I guarantee it and I hoped that I was right but I didn't know
25:03performing that show is incredibly technical and hard this tour isn't kind of like oh we just fly by
25:12the seat of our pants around here no like we stage manage the shit out of this show
25:17we're dealing with lots of production elements lighting screen content pyro moving floors confetti
25:29costumes choreography there's so many moving parts and it has to be no mistakes perfect timing
25:38there's a lot going on that happens really fast a lot of fast cues from one end of the stage to the
25:48other see piano lift up go it's nerve-wracking 3.3 UFO go
25:55go go go go
26:00it takes a lot taking the right stuff out at the right times so we all have to communicate well
26:09we're always moving the wings can be challenging we have had incidences where they broke if there's high
26:17winds it gets really hard for them because it's super heavy Q4301 go
26:25she's singing and having to engage and having to figure out what's coming next
26:35she has some flexibility in where she might go but there are sometimes when it's very exact
26:43and if she's not standing in the right place it's actually dangerous
26:47I don't want to fall in a hole and I don't want to have like pyro go off on my head
26:52I legitimately celebrate like every moment that something doesn't go wrong
26:56everybody is firing on all cylinders
27:01I work in the wardrobe department
27:17and I also am one of Taylor's dressers there's two of us
27:22every alpha change is about a minute and 15 or less
27:29our fastest quick change though is 39 seconds with her in the room
27:33those quick changes are like nothing you've ever seen before
27:37it is like watching a NASCAR race
27:43how many quick changes does she have
27:4520 quick changes our crew helped us build four quick change booths from there we kind of travel
27:53through the underworld of the stage it's all very very fast
27:57we don't really have time for snags it's very choreographed every second counts every millisecond counts
28:07there were moments where I thought I don't know if these costume changes are gonna happen in time
28:16I'm only off the stage for a maximum of two minutes at a time
28:20those transitions it's like I'm going under the stage
28:24I'm getting on a weird like pulley system
28:26I'm getting pulled over here
28:29meanwhile I'm unzipping my thing
28:31I'm running upstairs I'm going into a different quick change room on a whole different floor
28:35I'm ripping this off I'm putting this on
28:38stomp your feet three times
28:39it's literally the most complicated system
28:42you have no idea the panic of worrying you're not going to be dressed in time for the song to start
28:49and it is that panic that drives me to never be late
28:54I remember one time I was running from the Evermore era
29:02I trip over the hem of my dress
29:05bust my knee
29:07I skid the palm of my hand off
29:12hobble into the quick change room
29:15blood's coming down my hand
29:17I'm changing into the reputation bodysuit
29:20the skin that's flapping off
29:22I just pull it off
29:23more blood
29:24they don't have a band-aid back there
29:26wasn't late
29:29wasn't late
29:31for the intro of that song
29:33the fans noticed it a couple days later
29:36they're like oh her palms gone
29:38I was like I am not acknowledging this
29:41nothing's wrong
29:43it's always been like that
29:45it was really good but I made three mistakes and I'm so glad I made it in a rehearsal
29:59you know what I mean
29:59yeah can I talk to the dancers real quick about how I'm supposed to fall off that thing because I've completely forgotten
30:05can you hold Balen for me
30:07yeah she'll just remind me and I'll just do it right
30:10good going up
30:12jazz hands
30:14look at that full moon
30:16so funny
30:18it's gorgeous
30:20hi

32:02let me do a quick review
32:04on what we're seeing for weather
32:05for these next few days
32:06all right sounds good
32:07the main concern pretty much for every day this weekend
32:11is going to be the winds
32:12today we've already had gusts to around 30 across the area
32:15chances of of wind gusts to around 35 miles per hour
32:20I don't know if you guys have been seeing in the stadium itself down in the bowl
32:24we haven't seen anything over 20 in the last 24 hours
32:27that's good to know because it has been higher outside the bowl
32:30the weather element of playing outdoor stadiums is at times delightful and exciting
32:38at times it is frustrating at times it is feels uh really really horrific
32:46looking at precipitation right now it looks like as you go on later in the day the chances
32:52for showers start to increase
32:54like that's how much crazy weather we've run into on this tour
32:57this is the rainiest rain show that ever rain showed
33:18weather components I don't enjoy
33:24extreme wind do not like it
33:27do not love it do not like to see this the speakers doing this
33:31hate that don't want it
33:33when you hear the word lightning
33:34that's when we start having to
33:38really worry about postponements
33:41we also have the lightning detection system
33:43and this you can come in here monitor it
33:47come and go as you please
33:48all right we're good
33:50then you get situations where sometimes it's kind of wonderful
33:57just cinema just drama just it adds to it it adds to the show
34:03if there aren't other weather situations at play
34:08okay did they want to go straight up to stage for the fall yeah let's go
34:14erica's with us
34:16hey all you do is you twist
34:26and then they'll catch you
34:29okay and no matter which way you go they're going to catch you so if by chance you happen to lift your left
34:36they're still going to get you
34:38okay okay
34:39I will definitely do that I always remember to mic out
34:42yep yep okay
34:43want to try again
34:44yeah okay
34:44okay
34:45first song I'm going to do is this is me trying and then I'm going into daylight
35:12I've been having
35:42a hard time adjusting
35:44had the shiniest wheels now they're resting
35:48didn't know if you'd care if I came back
35:52have a lot of regrets about that
35:55pulled the car off the road to the lookout
35:58could have followed my fears all the way down
36:02maybe I don't quite know what to say
36:05but I'm here in your doorway
36:07I just wanted you to know this is me trying
36:13I just wanted you to know this is me trying
36:20and I can still see it all in my mind

36:34but it's golden
36:36and I can still see it all in my head
36:40I can't find from New York sneaking in your bed
36:44I once believed life would be burning red
36:47but it's golden
36:49but it's golden
36:49like daylight

37:49I just wanted you to know
37:51that this is me trying
37:53I love all of you guys so, so much.
38:10And I feel heard and seen and loved.
38:14And there's one thing I admire many things about you,
38:18but there's one thing that I'll never forget.
38:21I came to your birthday last year.
38:23And I actually tripped on the sidewalk.
38:27I fell on my face, like, in front of paparazzi that were outside.
38:32I was dealing with side effects and stuff.
38:35But when you introduced me to everyone, you said,
38:39guys, this is Jesslyn.
38:41We sing together.
38:45I said, that's a way to put it.
38:49That's exactly what it is.
38:51No one says that.
38:55And I think that's, it just says something about who you are and how humble you are and how you like to shed light on people and, like, make them feel bigger than they think they are.
39:09And in that moment, I needed that.
39:12It's never a me.
39:14It's always a we.
39:16And I think that it just makes me feel like, like, we are the only we that will ever be on the biggest fucking tour in the world.
39:24Oh, that was beautiful.
39:37Now I'm ready.
39:37Now I'm ready.
39:38Now I'm ready.
39:38Now I'm ready.
39:39Now I'm ready.

39:42Now I'm ready.
39:42Now I'm ready.
39:43Now I'm ready.
39:43Now I'm ready.
39:44Now I'm ready.
39:44Now I'm ready.
39:45Now I'm ready.
39:45Now I'm ready.
39:46Now I'm ready.
39:46Now I'm ready.
39:47Now I'm ready.
39:47Now I'm ready.
39:48Now I'm ready.
39:48Now I'm ready.
39:49Now I'm ready.
39:50Now I'm ready.
39:50Now I'm ready.
39:51Now I'm ready.
39:52Now I'm ready.
39:53Now I'm ready.
39:54Now I'm ready.
43:19Is it new?
43:21It's new.
43:23It's new.
43:24It's new.
43:25It's new.
43:27It's changing.
43:29Oh my God, you love it!
43:59Baby, let love games begin
44:03Let love games begin
44:04Are you ready for it?
44:05Baby, let love games begin
44:07Let love games begin
44:10Are you ready for it?
44:29I'm very well aware of mysterious forces at play
44:39that I will never have any control of.
44:46Oh, my, my.
44:48Who is this?
44:56So all I can ever do is say to myself,
44:58I'm going to use every tool in my toolkit.
45:02I'm going to paint with every single brush I've got.
45:04I'm going to be as detail-oriented as possible.
45:07I'm going to try as hard as I possibly can
45:09to give these people everything that they want.
45:18But sometimes there's something that happens that's amazing
45:23that's not something you can plan for
45:26and not something that you can manufacture.
45:38You know, it's like...
45:41It's just, there's still got to be some, like,
45:46magical, beautiful mystery to life.
45:49That's like a portal.
45:55He can drive.
45:57Ow.
45:57Ow.

46:12쿠ïyyy,
