00:03At that time, the bill was already on his desk.
00:07I'm sure also with Cardinal Cupich,
00:09but we were very clear about the necessity to respect the sacredness of life
00:14from the very beginning to the very end.
00:18And unfortunately, for different reasons, he decided to sign that bill.
00:24I'm very disappointed about that.
00:26And I would invite all people, especially in these Christmas feast days,
00:31to reflect upon the nature of human life, the goodness of human life.
00:35God became human like us to show us what it means, really, to live human life.
00:41And I hope and pray that the respect for life will once again grow
00:45in all moments of human existence, from conception to natural death.
