00:00took the miracle move on drug the effects were temporary and i love you it's ruining my life
00:18i touched you for only a fortnight but i touched you
00:30thank you
00:51i definitely think writing music is a form of therapy
00:54i wanna snarl and show you just how disturbed this has made me sorry
01:05every record represents something different
01:08you look like clara bow in this light remarkable tortured poets album is like this purge of
01:20just like everything everything bad that i felt for two years
01:27and i still can't believe
01:31it was a really rough time in my life so the songs reflect that
01:45that's the end yeah because i sound like i'm gonna die feeling like i'm not a person i'm just this like
01:53big conglomerate that no one sees as a real human being and like especially not men that i date
01:59and in the whole process just being like but not nothing nothing works nothing's there's no one for
02:07me in the world
02:24these dressing rooms are freaking massive those are football players locker rooms
02:28they're for a 53-man roster that's actually the first time she ever heard of travis kelsey but
02:35she didn't know what we left my cousins were like taking picture with one of the pictures with one of
02:40the lockers we had no idea no idea do you want me to tell the story if you want to tell the story
02:47then you should tell the story you she wants to tell i do because i think it's a pretty cool story
02:51mom tell the story okay okay if you really want me to
02:57speaking of taylor swift i know you went to the taylor swift concert how was it yeah well i was
03:02disappointed that uh she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice
03:07for the 44 songs that she sings so i was a little butthurt i didn't get to hand her uh one of the
03:13bracelets i made for her you made her a bracelet yeah there are friendship bracelets and i received a
03:19bunch of them being there but i wanted to give taylor swift one with my number on it now right now
03:25your numbers in 87 or your phone number you know which one um so i'm looking at the headlines and
03:34perusing around what's on the internet and i see that this guy came to your show and he brought a
03:41friendship bracelet and wants to meet you and so of course i call up my resident expert on kansas
03:48city chief my cousin robin i go tell me about this guy named travis kelsey and she goes oh my god
03:56he's the nicest guy and you know what he really loves his mom i went ding ding ding and i said now
04:07how in the world am i going to get her to meet him or whatever i was i've been very non-athlete
04:13because i'm not one and i've always just been like well what would we talk about and so you call me up
04:17like with this tone of like hey so i know you're gonna not react well to this but there's a guy he's
04:25really cute you said something to the effect of like you gotta start doing something different
04:32listen it was so earnest i thought it was the sweetest thing in the world that he came to your show
04:38yeah he brought you something from your world yeah to me that really said a lot so yeah i thought
04:46that was really sweet and i liked it you know on our first date he literally had to explain football
04:51as if it were like violent chess which helps me kind of understand it like high speed
04:58angry chess and then i just sort of became obsessed with him and therefore became obsessed with
05:04learning about football greatest surprise of my life um now i like know who's on the injured reserve
05:13i know who was in limited practice today for the 49ers i'm like what does it mean what's the extent
05:19of the injury like are we dealing with an achilles thing or is his hamstring
05:22well right now we're just four days away until downtown new orleans is covered in glitter and
05:33friendship bracelets all for the arrival of taylor swift four and more swifties are arriving by the
05:38minute elected officials and law enforcement are using this upcoming weekend kind of as a test run
05:43ahead of hosting the super bowl soon the world's biggest pop star will perform three
05:48sold-out shows today the taylor mania begins night one of the heiress tour here in new orleans
06:02so these are from frovis oh oh these are so beautiful
06:32i love that he doesn't even have to sign them anymore
06:45being that we have a handful of shows left we decided the first show of new orleans that we
06:50should put some of the swings in what a swing is is a dancer who can do another track that's not
06:54theirs so today wasn't full-out rehearsal we're making sure that they know where they're going on
07:00stage so they can hop in
07:04that's good guys lovely how'd that feel music's fine everybody else feel okay staging wise
07:11it's wild how these dancers are so talented the other dancers can fill in for someone else
07:20and do their choreography perfectly hit their blocking perfectly i don't understand
07:25how they can do their jobs and also have the option of doing everyone else's
07:32crazy whoever is not in ready for it or not potentially in ready for it can go back to the dressing room
07:39a man wanted to rehearse different contingency plans
07:47and i jokingly said oh my goodness this is going to be one of the last opportunities i might
07:53be able to be able to have to do ready for it and she called me out and she's like do you want to do it all the dancers love ready for it
08:02especially wiley and the boys beg to do it unfortunately for me it is all female
08:09i just remember watching it being created and just living in perpetual envy the whole tour
08:21that song is really wiley style he shines when he does that choreography
08:31i love flipping my hair i love being different characters on stage i just love performing doing
08:47really dope moves to really dope music beautiful the feeling of the song and the lyrics it's just
08:56it's a monumental number so from the beginning it was my favorite piece
09:04and then why uh this foot goes out right away boom to go down to go up that's it
09:10and i think what now i still have to ask taylor and management if that's okay because usually
09:16we have it be an all-female dance he's actually going to try on my costume and see if it fits
09:21and if it fits i would love for wiley to do it because he's so passionate about doing it
09:26thank you thank you thank you you look amazing thank you thank you everybody
09:49you know with this tour we're not very like
09:52we're not trying to make any points about gender but we just don't really have any
09:59kind of restrictions we got guys in heels and leotards and stuff and we just don't really think
10:08too hard about it right like if you look at look what you made me do you have women and men dressed
10:14up in my former costumes it's not like we just don't really overthink it and i think that's kind of
10:21one of the most fun things about you know the way we've approached this tour we overthink certain
10:25things we let some things just kind of just be naturally individualistic in terms of our casting
10:33and our dancers expression
10:34and our younger dancers expression
10:45wiley's such a badass he's been doing this for so many years he's a vet for him to go in tonight would
10:52would be awesome.
11:22Oh, she's on. That's it, right?
11:25Yeah.
11:26Wiley fit into my costume with ease,
11:29and if Wiley goes in tonight, it's up to Taylor.
11:32She gets the final say.
11:37Can I go to the game?
11:38Yes.
11:39The Monday night game.
11:41Um, oh.
11:43So Wiley's dream is to do ready for it.
11:46Amanda's gonna take...
11:48What do you mean?
11:49He wants to dance ready for it.
11:51Yep.
11:52Okay.
11:53Um, Amanda sent me this video.
11:55Does he have a wardrobe?
11:56Yeah, he wants to be the swing tonight.
11:58Yes!
12:00There she is.
12:01Find the Rockets a little up, he don't see a vibe.
12:06Yes.
12:08It's...
12:09Yeah!
12:11Does he just fit in Amanda's wardrobe?
12:14Yeah, I think so.
12:16Are you ready for it?
12:18Yes, 100%.
12:20100%.
12:21That's amazing.
12:22No.
12:23Stop.
12:24Stop.
12:25Stop.
12:26Stop.
12:27Stop.
12:28Stop.
12:29Stop.
12:30Stop.
12:31Stop.
12:32Stop.
12:33No.
12:34No.
12:35Stop.
12:36Stop.
12:37Stop.
12:38Stop.
12:39Stop.
12:40Stop.
12:41Stop.
12:42Stop.
12:43No.
12:44Muscle memory is the first step in, like, brain atrophy for me.
12:55That's why I love my acoustic set so much.
13:04I love being challenged to come up with different things to do every night.
13:07I wash my hands at the club.
13:14You made a mess with me.
13:27Preparing for the acoustic set is something that I do because I don't want to just wing it, you know?
13:36Like, I want there to be a sense of quality.
13:39I would never just get up there and be like, guess I'll try something that has to be purposeful and it has to be well executed.
13:47Like, it is always a moment I'm somewhat unprepared for because I'm rehearsing this a few times in my dressing room and then it's time to bring it to the stadium stage.
13:56So there's always a level of sort of like nervous anticipation of sort of like, make sure you remember all these words, make sure you remember that this song transitions into this song.
14:05But there's also an element of detail that goes into it.
14:26There were points in this tour when the tour was the only thing that was really keeping me going in my life.
14:47But there were never points in the tour where I thought, oh, you know what?
14:50I want to quit the tour because the tour is hard.
14:52No, my personal life was hard.
14:54I went through two breakups on the first half of this tour.
14:58And that's a lot of breakups, actually.
15:00Like, the show was what gave me purpose and was what I could use to get me out of bed.
15:11So the tour has never been the hard thing in my life.
15:17The tour has been the thing that has allowed me to find purpose outside of the shit that was going wrong in my life.
15:26Men will let you down.
15:27The Aeros tour never will.
15:30Oh, my love is a lie, shit my friends say to get me by.
15:36It's different, it's different this time.
15:40Catastrophic blues moving on, so it's easy for me to do.
15:45It's different, it's different because it's you.
15:50You know, it really kind of tells your story.
15:53It's so, so cool.
15:55It's so different and when you first met.
15:58Who are we talking about now?
16:01Travis, your boyfriend.
16:04I'm talking, this is about, these are literally two breakup songs.
16:08It's different, it's a breakup song.
16:09I know, but it's just, it's about.
16:11I just hear the pretty parts of it.
16:13I mean, I'm glad that that's, that you read that into it because I read into it like that this person is going through a horrible breakup and they're like, I can't move on.
16:20And then they do and they go to a big city and they like find this other sense of self.
16:25I guess so.
16:29Anyway, so is this, is that what you want?
16:31She doesn't have to convince me to be in love with someone who's good for me.
16:36This one's easy.
16:40Alright, do you need me?
16:41They need me in there.
16:42Okay, that's, that's all I have for you.
16:44Okay.
16:44Thank you very much.
16:46My little lucky charm.
16:47Bye.
16:48Bye.
16:48What has Travis brought to the tour?
16:52Well, first of all, he brought himself onto the stage on this tour, which was one of the funnier moments I can ever remember.
17:00How do I put this?
17:02Travis is like, he's a real, he's a real yes guy, like in terms of life itself.
17:08Do you want to be centered in the middle of the front of it or behind it?
17:11I'm taking your, you're taking the, whichever you want me to do.
17:14He's just up for anything.
17:17And when I wrote the skit for, I can do it with a broken heart, where I had this very dramatic idea where I want to be a soldier on a battlefield and I'm fatally wounded and I die on the stage while singing.
17:32And then we have this very sort of like cabaret, dramatic vaudeville kind of skit where I have to perk up immediately to perform.
17:42I was like, oh, that's, that's exactly the kind of drama I'm trying to put forth here on this tour.
17:48But I remember thinking about the skit and always just being like, if there was ever a point to put Travis in the show, I think this would be the one.
17:58But I obviously, I'm like, never going to suggest that because that's like, I don't want to, you don't want to scare people, you know?
18:05Yeah, like she has to be head on the left side.
18:09I can't remember how it came up.
18:10I think we were just joking around about like him doing it, like him going up there with Cam.
18:15And it became very clear that he like wasn't joking.
18:19And I was like, oh, wait, no, you would do that?
18:23It's easier then.
18:24Yeah.
18:24And then we can't run.
18:25And he was like, yeah, it would be hilarious.
18:28Come on, wake up.
18:29Wake up.
18:30I was like, if you're serious about this, I will send your measurements to wardrobe and they'll get you a tux.
18:37Like, are you serious?
18:38And he's like, put me in.
18:41Like, I'm in.
18:45The way that he just comes to life when the lights are the brightest, people talk about that all the time with him.
18:54They're like, the moment's never too big for Travis.
18:56The lights are never too bright for Travis.
18:58It's like, I think that's as a player, he can like slow down time in the most stressful moments.
19:04And that's exactly what we saw on stage.
19:06He got out there and was the most charming, delightful performer you could ever be on the stage with.
19:16Like his instincts, he's just, he's just so magically entertaining.
19:28He really is one of the happiest people I think I've ever met, which I adore.
19:37He just brought a lot of happiness, which is, I think, what he does in a lot of his circles.
19:44He brings, he brings a lot of happiness to the room.
19:46And that particular night, he brought a lot of happiness to a lot of fans.
19:51It was hilarious.
19:52I can safely say that that was, that was the loudest it ever got on the heiress tour.
19:59The one thing about dads that made me fall in love with it.
20:26But growing up in Hawaii, I wasn't the typical masculine local boy.
20:35I felt like I didn't fit in anywhere.
20:39I found dance, or dance found me when I was seven and a half.
20:48They planted a seed of passion in me that I didn't know would blossom into something that
20:55would serve me till now in my life.
20:59It gave me a huge sense of confidence and a huge sense of power and belonging and purpose.
21:11In 2007, when I got into the industry, you had to, like, fit into a certain stereotype.
21:20Male dancers, they look like this, they dance like this.
21:23Female dancers look like this, they dance like this.
21:25I do love dancing masculine.
21:27It's something I love to do, but I also love dancing feminine, and I also love mixing the
21:31two together.
21:33I was always told, Wiley, you're great, but you flip your hair too much, or you're too feminine.
21:41That stuck with me through different jobs, being told different things about my appearance.
21:45This job, no one told me I needed to be buff.
21:53Taylor never made me cut my hair.
21:55I wear different color eyeshadows in different nights.
21:59It's been almost 150 shows, and Taylor not has once said, Wiley, please stop doing that.
22:05Never.
22:05I've never been filtered as a person of who I present myself on stage with her, and neither
22:12has any of my co-workers, and that may seem so small, but as a dancer who has been told
22:21to change, to filter herself for almost 20 years, it is one of the most meaningful things
22:28to me.
22:29It is so empowering.
22:32It is so loving.
22:35It is so enriching, and so much fun.
22:38You know, Wiley, as a dancer and a performer, he can really channel that kind of, like, sexy
23:04femme side of himself.
23:06Wiley wanting to be in Ready For It was just, like, so refreshing, because I was like, of
23:10course.
23:12I'm fully ready for it.
23:17Crack.
23:23So I'm going to do one of the fake outs where I, like, sing, I'm going to sing a chorus of
23:28her song, and the crowd's going to be like, what?
23:29What's going on?
23:30What's going on?
23:31And then I'm going to stop, and I'm going to do this phone call bit, which I'll explain
23:34to you in real time.
23:37Now he's thinking about me every night, oh.
23:41There's the nights we like, yes, oh.
23:43Say you can't sleep, baby, I know.
23:46A stempy espresso.
23:49And then I'm going to be like, God, that song is stuck in my head.
23:52That song has been stuck in my head for, like, six months.
23:54Um, you guys know Sabrina Carpenter, you know, you know her album.
23:59It's so good.
24:01My friend Sabrina is coming tonight.
24:03She was the opening act on the Ayers tour for South America and Australia.
24:07So she was just on tour with us, like, six months ago.
24:10But since then, her career has skyrocketed.
24:14She's had the biggest song of the year.
24:16The album has been number one consistently since it came out.
24:20She put an arena tour on sale.
24:22It sold out in, like, two seconds.
24:23It's the dream scenario for how you would want your career to go as an artist.
24:27I'm going to go out on stage, start my acoustic set, and be like,
24:30if you know the words to this one, like, sing along.
24:32I just, I have to, I feel like I can't ever get it out of my head until I sing it.
24:36Okay?
24:37So I'm just trying to, trying to just support me on this, okay?
24:42Now he's thinking about me every night, oh.
24:46Isn't that sweet?
24:47I guess so.
24:48The other day, Erica was like, oh, Sabrina and some friends want to come to the show in New Orleans.
24:51And I look up her tour schedule.
24:53She's got, like, a show yesterday and a show tomorrow in different states.
24:56And I was like, is this, like, child abuse for me to even ask her to perform on her one day off?
25:01I know she's, like, 25, but still.
25:03And they're going to, like, be, like, losing their minds the whole time.
25:06They're going to be like, why did she do that?
25:08Something's happening.
25:08And they're going to be, like, and they're going to be punching each other.
25:10Be like, no, there's no way she's, Sabrina's not here.
25:13Like, it's just going to be the craziest moment of the tour.
25:15It's going to be cute.
25:16Where I could start.
25:16And you can kind of start singing whenever you want, because this is the same chord progression.
25:21And I'm going to start with the chorus.
25:23Yeah.
25:23Because I love you.
25:24Okay.
25:25Or do we go.
25:49Oh, yeah.
25:49Do the chord progressions.
25:51I want you on stage for a million years.
25:52Okay.
25:52So I'll win.
25:53And then that, isn't that, isn't that sweet?
25:55I guess so.
25:56Okay.
25:59Sweet, I guess so.
26:01I'm going to be, like, can I please do the line?
26:04I'll be, like, you do the line.
26:05I want to do the line so bad.
26:06Okay, everybody.
26:07Taylor's going to do the line.
26:08I'm going to do the line.
26:12I'm working late.
26:14Because I'm a singer.
26:17Boy, that's so cute.
26:19Wrapped around my finger.
26:21My twisted humor.
26:23My twisted humor.
26:24Makes him laugh so often.
26:26My honey, baby.
26:29Come get this pollen.
26:31Let's fast forward to 200 take-out copies later.
26:36I see your profile and your smile on unsuspecting waiters.
26:41Your dream in my mouth before I called you a lying traitor.
26:46You search in every minute's bed for something later.
26:50Baby, was it over when she laid down on your couch?
26:56Was it over when he unbutted my glass?
27:01Come here, I was putting you in your dream as you passed out.
27:05Baby, it wasn't over then.
27:10Is it over now?
27:11Oh.
27:16Oh.
27:20Oh.
27:25And I'll be, like, do you know what I kind of want to do next?
27:27I kind of want to be, like, since you're here.
27:30Please, please, please, don't prove I'm right.
27:37Do you want to, um, I can't tell if I want to do, please, please, please, don't prove I'm right.
27:46By the way, no one's going to hear anything.
27:48I know.
27:49Because you're like, please, please, please.
27:51People are just going to be, like, freaking out.
27:53I felt like a real big idiot because the first time you sent me the first version, which was so genius, it didn't process that the takeout coffee line really fits with espresso until I literally was in the car on the way here.
28:04And I was like, she's so smart.
28:07But, yeah, that was a big blonde moment for me.
28:10It took me a day.
28:11But what are the chances it has the same rhythm and it's in the same key?
28:14And so I'm going to get past a phone and have it on speakerphone and put it up to the mic and it'll, like, ring.
28:22And you'll be under the stage with a phone and be like, hello, or...
28:26I'll say hey in some way.
28:28Yeah.
28:28In some way that I do.
28:29And I'll be like, I'll be like, dude, I'm performing right now.
28:34Like, aren't you playing a show right now?
28:35Yeah.
28:36Like, aren't you in the middle of a show?
28:38I'm, like, watching your live stream.
28:39This is so weird.
28:41Just be like, aren't you playing a show right now or something in New Orleans?
28:44I'll be like, yeah, about that.
28:45I actually just did, like, a chorus of espresso in the crowd saying it so loud that I just had to tell you about it.
28:52Oh, that's so cool.
28:53Oh, my gosh.
28:57What are you doing?
28:59Why aren't you here with us?
29:00What are you doing right now?
29:02I'm, obviously, I'm on, like, a roller coaster.
29:05I'm somewhere where everyone is screaming so loud.
29:09Oh.
29:10I always have to be there.
29:15I know.
29:16It's weird.
29:16I'm somewhere where people are screaming really loud, too.
29:20Oh.
29:22I just, here's the thing.
29:24Sabrina, is there any chance you could get off the roller coaster you're on and, like, put on some clothes and just, like, come down to the stadium real quick?
29:32Like, ballpark, how long would that take you?
29:41It would probably take me, like, five seconds.
29:44Okay, see you soon.
29:48Love you.
29:48Bye.
29:48Sabrina is just, like, a shooting star.
30:06She's so smart.
30:08She knows exactly how to entertain people in the way that they want in the moment that she's in.
30:16She's just, like, battling herself for number one on the charts all summer.
30:20And when you see that happen, you're just, like, go.
30:24Fly higher.
30:26And then it's even cooler when, like, someone like this will circle back and, like, bless us with their magic.
30:34Please, please, please, please, don't prove I'm right.
30:43Please, please, please, don't bring me to tears when I just did my makeup so nice.
30:53Heartbreak is one thing, my ego's another.
30:57Well, I beg you, don't embarrass me, motherfucker.
31:01I beg you, don't worry, don't worry, don't worry, don't worry, don't worry.
31:06Please, please, please.
31:08Please, please.
31:09Say it.
31:10Now he's thinking about me every night.
31:14Oh, is it that sweet?
31:15I guess so.
31:16Say you can't sleep, baby, I know.
31:19That's that mi espresso.
31:21And is it open now?
31:26Well, that's that mi espresso.
31:31Let's fast forward two, three hundred, take out coffees later.

32:24Have to say that this job is pretty scary. I
32:30Mean that because of how big it is
32:36So many eyes on you
32:40Venues we go to have almost a hundred thousand people there every night
32:47I can't believe this is happening
32:49I'm gagging if I think too much about what this tour is and how big of an impact it has I
32:57Am riddled with anxiety and fear
33:00Oh
33:15All I want to do is represent Taylor well, we are extensions of her right now in this job. I
33:24Just want to continue the message of what she's trying to say
33:30And I want to give that integrity to it
