00:00Today, we're announcing that in 2026, next year, we'll be rolling out free prescriptions, free eye care, and also free NHS dental care for care leavers.
00:13It's going to remove a lot of the obstacles that stand between them and having the good health that they deserve.
00:19And we're doing that on top of measures to also test a new approach to get mental health support closer to families where there's a crisis or care leavers as well.
00:31And we're finally getting the NHS to step up as a corporate parent so that it offers paid internships for care experience from people as well.
00:41So that as the UK's biggest employer, we actually leverage that to ensure there's opportunities in work for care leavers too.
