00:00two-day at noon, a wild collision when a stolen Ferrari hits a police cruiser and a utility pool in Brickell this morning.

00:11The crash caught on camera. The impact causing power in the neighborhood to be knocked out.
00:17CBS News Miami's Morgan Runner is your reporter live from Brickell where the crews are still working to restore power.

01:04and that's what led
01:06the owners to start tracking their cars
01:08and it led them right here to Brickell
01:11Tuesday morning
01:12Ferrari stolen out of Miami Beach
01:14is tracked to this intersection in Brickell
01:18They attempted to initiate a traffic stop
01:20at which point in time the subject

01:53so that wouldn't make sense or someone hit a power line.
01:55Robert Brand took this video when he walked out onto his balcony.
01:59You can see the damaged Ferrari and the large police presence.
02:02Officers were running around with flashlights so there was a car crashed into that fence.
02:08So it seemed they were looking for a person but it looked like there is no one in the car.
02:14City of Miami police said after the Ferrari crash the suspect ran away.
02:18Police set up a perimeter and found him hiding in a building one avenue over.
02:23At that point in time officers attempted to communicate with him and encourage him
02:27to come and speak to the police at which point in time he did in fact surrender and they were able
02:32to safely apprehend him. Fortunately there were no serious injuries that subject had to be transported
02:38for some minor lacerations. Witnesses said stealing a car especially a Ferrari told me.
02:46I think that's something that's pretty easily traceable especially with cars nowadays everything
02:50has a computer in it you can pretty much trace I mean like new Ferraris nowadays have dash cams in them.
03:00They were also able to track their Rolls Royce and police did recover that car as well.
03:06Now they're working to see if insurance is going to cover all the damage from that crash you saw
03:10that was caught on surveillance video. As for this suspect he again is being treated once he's treated
03:16he's going to be booked and police did tell us that they are working on getting us the arrest form
03:21which will have his identity and of course we'll let you know as soon as we get that.
