00:13Unlike heavily armored vehicles, the Concept 7 Protection

00:21It features bullet-resistant glass, reinforced doors
00:25and extra protection in the roof and bodywork
00:28All these elements are carefully hidden to maintain the appearance of a standard luxury sedan
00:35BMW says the car meets the new baby safety standard
00:39and is designed to withstand common handgun ammunition
00:42including 9mm and .44 Magnum rounds
00:46However, it does not offer the higher levels of protection against explosives
00:51found in more heavily armored models
00:55Under the bonnet, the Concept uses the powertrain from the BMW M760e
01:01X-Drive plug-in hybrid
01:03This system combines a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder petrol engine
01:07with an electric motor
01:08producing 612 horsepower
01:11and 800 newton meters of torque
01:15BMW has also adjusted the suspension
01:17brakes and driving systems to handle the additional weight
01:22Inside, the car offers white merino leather
01:25Alcantara finishes
01:27and privacy glass
01:30Rear passengers benefit from a new center console
01:33with a folding table
01:34wireless phone charging
01:36and a cool box
01:38This feature will also become available on regular BMW 7 Series models
01:43in the second half of 2027
01:47Other safety features include an intercom
01:49that allows passengers to speak with people outside
01:52without opening the windows
01:54along with an alarm system
01:56that activates lights and sounds during an attack
01:59The Concept 7 protection sits below the BMW 7 Series protection
