00:00The Philippines' first ever bakery owned by persons with disabilities or PWDs officially opens in Toril Davao City.
00:08Named 3A's Bake Shop, which stands for Ability, Access and Advocate,
00:12the managers aim to not only provide a sustainable livelihood for the local PWD community,
00:17but also hopes it would serve as an inspiration to other vulnerable sectors.
00:22The bakery employs five PWD staff who underwent skills training
00:26with the assistance of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, or TESDA.
00:31This livelihood project is led by PWD Association Daliau President Chef Aileen Asilom.
00:38According to her, this idea started three years ago
00:41when she started supporting the community by distributing flour.
00:45The PWD Association Daliau sees this bake shop as a solid proof of acceptance for PWDs in the community,
00:53providing both livelihood and hope.
