00:00The Department of Health is studying the possibility of including Barangay Health workers in the Zero Balance Billing Program for semi-private rooms.

00:09According to Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa, this is in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive to expand the program,

00:17adding that this is also to show gratitude for the Barangay Health workers' dedication in delivering health services.

00:24Under the Zero Balance Billing Program, patients in DOH-managed hospitals are not required to pay for medical services, medicines or even doctors' professional fees.

00:36The DOH is targeting a further expansion of the program next year.
