00:00The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, or MMDA, is putting the brakes on the expanded number coding scheme for the holiday season.

00:07From December 23 to 25, and again from December 29 to January 2, 2026, vehicles will be free to roam the streets without worrying about the coding restrictions.

00:18The MMDA reminds motorists to steer clear of accidents by planning their trips well, following traffic rules and staying alert behind the wheel.

00:26This move ensures smoother traffic flow during the festive season when many are hitting the road to celebrate.
